Another baby boy dies from cold in Gaza

A two-month-old baby boy died in the Gaza Strip on Saturday as a result of prolonged exposure to low temperatures.
Gaza’s health ministry said that two-month-old Mu'hammed Abu Harbeed died from hypothermia, amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions resulting from the Israeli ban on the entry of critical shelter materials and relief aid to Gaza.
On Saturday morning, a seven‑day‑old infant also died from severe cold inside a tattered tent.
Despite the ceasefire agreement reached on October 10, 2025, the humanitarian crisis in the Strip has shown no tangible improvement as the Israeli occupation regime continues to evade its obligations. The situation has worsened further during the successive winter storms that hit Gaza.
In a related context, UNRWA said that children in the Gaza Strip continue to live in dire conditions, amid ongoing Israeli restrictions on the entry of humanitarian needs.
“Children in Gaza are still living in dire conditions. They should be warm, well-nourished and feel safe enough to look towards their future,” UNRWA said in social media remarks on Saturday.
“They urgently need the humanitarian aid that is stuck outside Gaza. UNRWA and other aid organizations are still working and ready to scale up. Restrictions on aid must be lifted, now,” UNRWA added.

UNRWA: Gaza’s children continue to endure dire conditions

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) affirmed today that children in the Gaza Strip continue to live in dire conditions amid restrictions imposed by Israeli occupation forces on the entry of humanitarian aid.
In a post published Saturday on X, the UN agency said that children in Gaza should feel warm, well-nourished, and safe enough to look to their future, stressing their urgent need for humanitarian assistance that remains stalled outside the Gaza Strip due to Israeli-imposed restrictions.
UNRWA added that, like other relief organizations, it continues to operate and stands ready to scale up its assistance, underscoring the necessity of the immediate lifting of all restrictions on humanitarian aid.

Gaza: Thousands of tents ruined in storm, crisis deepened by Israeli blockade

Gaza’s civil defense service has said that the ongoing weather depression has destroyed or damaged thousands of displaced families’ tents, attributing this humanitarian crisis directly to the Israeli ban on construction materials and reconstruction efforts.
On Friday, a new weather depression started across Gaza, bringing rain and stormy winds.
The Palestinian meteorological authority said today that scattered showers remain likely in some areas, with strong winds occasionally reaching speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour.
“What is happening is not a weather crisis, but a direct consequence of Israel’s prevention of construction materials from entering and its obstruction of reconstruction, leaving people to live in ragged tents and crumbling houses without safety or dignity,” civil defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal said on Saturday.
Basal also said that every storm hitting the Gaza Strip turns into a real humanitarian disaster under the Israeli blockade, adding that thousands of tents face destruction amid ongoing unstable weather conditions and the absence of protective means.

Death toll in Gaza rises to 71,412 since October 2023
GAZA, January 11, 2026 (WAFA) —
The death toll from the Israeli occupation regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,412, with 171,314 people injured since October 2023, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
The Ministry reported on Sunday that three fatalities and nine injuries were received by hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours. They added that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on roads, as ambulance and rescue crews are still unable to reach them.
The Ministry noted that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation forces has reached 442, with 1,236 injuries recorded, while 688 bodies have been recovered.
The Ministry also reported the death of a two-month-old infant due to severe cold, bringing the number of child deaths caused by cold weather since the start of winter to four.

The Israeli occupation forces continued today, Sunday, to violate the ceasefire agreement, attacking displaced civilians and neighborhoods and carrying out demolitions in different areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian media sources, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on Gaza City’s El-Zaytoun neighborhood, while gunfire attacks were reported in various areas of the Strip.
In northern Gaza, the Israeli army detonated several residential buildings in the Abu Zaytoun area of Jabalya refugee camp.
The army also detonated vehicles carrying explosives near the Shaikh Zayid square in northern Gaza, triggering powerful and repeated explosions heard across Gaza.
These demolitions are part of a systematic and daily destruction campaign targeting the remaining homes and structures in Gaza, particularly in the eastern areas, where demolitions continue at an unprecedented pace.
Meanwhile, Gaza residents’ suffering deepens amid a new fierce winter storm lashing the region. Media sources have reported hundreds of tents sheltering displaced families ripped apart by heavy rains and gale-force winds in Khan Younus and across the Strip.

Gaza: Three Palestinians killed, others injured in fresh Israeli attacks

Three Palestinian civilians were martyred and others were injured in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, amid other ceasefire violations persisting for the 91st consecutive day.
Local sources reported that Yousuf El-'Harrazeen, 26, was killed by the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) nearEl-Sikka junction east of Gaza City.
Three others were also injured when an Israeli drone bombed a bulldozer at the entrance of El-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Israeli tanks also fired machine guns and artillery shells near El-'Alam rotary south of El-Mawasi in Rafa'h, southern Gaza.
Earlier, local sources reported the killing of Mu'hammed El-Qahwaji, 38, by Israeli drone fire near the Islamic Complex Mosque east of Khan Younus, before his body was recovered and transferred to Nasser Hospital.
Furthermore, sources reported the recovery of another body of a Palestinian killed by Israeli gunfire east of Gaza City’s El-Zaytoun neighborhood.
In a separate incident, a seven-day-old baby boy was pronounced dead in the Gaza Strip today as a result of prolonged exposure to low temperatures.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army carried out multiple artillery, aerial, shooting attacks in different areas of the Gaza Strip last night and on Saturday morning.

Two Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza, in breach of ceasefire

Two Palestinian citizens were killed on Sunday morning by Israeli army gunfire and shelling in El-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City and in El-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources told WAFA that one Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces in El-Zaytoun neighborhood, in breach of the ceasefire agreement.
Another Palestinian succumbed to injuries sustained during Israeli shelling that targeted a gathering of civilians in El-Maghazi refugee camp on Saturday, the same sources added.
With these fatalities, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 11, 2025, has risen to 443, while the total number of injuries has exceeded 1,223.

The Israeli occupation army on Sunday carried out airstrikes and launched artillery and naval shelling on various areas across the Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondents reported that Israeli artillery targeted the eastern areas of El-Tuffa'h and El-Zaytoun neighborhoods east of Gaza City, accompanied by gunfire from military vehicles.
Israeli warplanes also bombed several areas east of El-Buraij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, while additional airstrikes targeted areas southwest of the city of Rafa'h in the south.
In the north, Israeli warplanes carried out air raids and demolitions of buildings east of Jabalya and Bait Lahya, coinciding with artillery shelling.
Meanwhile, Israeli naval boats fired a number of shells toward coastal areas in the northern Gaza Strip.

A Palestinian citizen succumbed to his wounds on Sunday morning after being shot and seriously injured by Israeli occupation forces the previous night in the city of El-Khaleel (Hebron), south of the West Bank.
The Ministry of Health said it was informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs of the death of Shakir Fala'h El-Ja'bari, 58, who was shot by Israeli occupation forces in El-Khaleel (Hebron) on Saturday night. The ministry added that Israeli authorities seized his body.
According to local sources, Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle in the Khallet 'Hadour area east of Hebron on Saturday evening, seriously wounding El-Ja'bari. He was subsequently detained by the forces, who prevented ambulances and civilians from reaching him.

Three young Palestinian men were injured on Sunday after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in al-Yasmeena neighborhood in the Old City of Nablus.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said that two youths, aged 18 and 26, were shot by Israeli forces in the thigh and foot. They were transferred to Rafeedya Hospital, where their conditions were described as stable.
A third young man was injured by rubber-coated metal bullets in the shoulder on El-Basha Street.
The Israeli army raid on the Old City remains ongoing, accompanied by confrontations, the detention of journalists and medics, and the firing of live ammunition at residents.

The Israeli occupation forces briefly detained journalists and medics and abducted other residents following a raid on the Old City of Nablus that began in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to Palestinian security sources.
The sources told WAFA that Israeli forces are currently surrounding journalists inside El-Yasmeena neighborhood while they were covering the ongoing incursion, which involved the use of live ammunition and the sealing off of the Old City.
Ghassan 'Hamdan, director of the Medical Relief Society in Nablus, told WAFA that Israeli forces fired directly at two medics without causing injuries, then briefly detained them inside El-Satoun Mosque in the Old City. He added that dozens of worshippers had been briefly detained inside the mosque since dawn before later being released.
According to the same sources, undercover Israeli special forces infiltrated El-Qaryoun neighborhood inside the Old City, followed by the arrival of several military vehicles from multiple directions toward the Old City and its surroundings. The forces deployed in several neighborhoods and the eastern market area, amid the sound of live gunfire.
They also reported that Israeli forces opened live fire at a vehicle in the Ras al-Ein neighborhood, causing material damage. No injuries were reported among the passengers, who were evacuated.

The same sources said that the undercover forces detained two Palestinian citizens from inside the Old City. Meantime, additional Israeli military reinforcements stormed the city from multiple directions.

Local sources told WAFA that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town, deployed across several neighborhoods, and raided a number of homes before carrying out the detentions.
The detainees included former prisoners and a 12-year-old child, identified as Sayfuddeen Khalid Ibraheem Dairiya.

Armed groups of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked the villages of El-Mughayir, located northeast of Ramallah, and Yabroud to the east on Saturday, according to local sources.
The sources told WAFA that the illegal Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Qala’a area east of El-Mughayir and fired live bullets at residents who confronted them, though no injuries were reported.
The sources added that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the area, deploying sound grenades and tear gas against residents, and spread throughout the old park of the village and near homes.
Meantime, settlers attacked residents near Yabroud, while two armed colonists trespassed on Palestinian-owned lands in Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah.

Illegal Israeli settlers assault Palestinian, carry out attacks in the West Bank

A horde of the illegal Israeli settlers assaulted a Palestinian young man and carried out other attacks in different West Bank areas on Saturday.
Local sources said that a number of settlers stormed the Shallal El-'Auja community in northern Jericho, spread among citizens’ homes, and deliberately grazed their livestock on swaths of cultivated land.
In a separate incident, settlers savagely beat a young man from the town of Bait Foureek, east of Nablus, while he was traveling on the road connecting the towns of Biddya and Sanniriya, west of Salfeet, and stole his car.
In Ramallah, settlers attacked the villages of El-Mughayir, northeast of Ramallah, and Yabrud to the east.
Local sources reported that armed settlers stormed El-Qal’ah area east of El-Mughayir village and fired live bullets at residents who confronted them.
Soon later, the Israeli occupation soldiers also stormed the same area and attacked the villagers with stun grenades and tear gas canisters.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the attacks in El-Mughayir village.
Another group of settlers attacked Palestinians near Yabrud village, east of Ramallah, while two armed settlers stormed citizens’ lands in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah.

UN documents more than 1,800 attacks by the illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank during 2025

The United Nations said it documented more than 1,800 attacks carried out by the illegal Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank during 2025, according to a statement issued on Friday.
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) recorded settler attacks that resulted in injuries or property damage across approximately 280 Palestinian communities throughout the West Bank.
Separately, the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that settlers carried out 4,723 attacks against Palestinian civilians and their property across various West Bank governorates over the course of 2025.
According to the commission, these attacks led to the killing of 14 Palestinians. Settlers also set fire to 434 locations, including homes, agricultural lands, and other civilian property.
The figures highlight what UN officials and Palestinian institutions describe as a sustained escalation in settler violence, amid growing concerns over the lack of accountability and the deteriorating security situation for Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.

Activists protest Israeli real estate conference in New York

Pro-Palestinian activists organized a protest in the Queens neighborhood of New York City against the convening of the “Israel Real Estate & Investment Conference,” a promotional event focused on real estate and investment opportunities in Israeli-occupied territories.
Demonstrators said the conference promotes land and property investments, including assets located in areas of the occupied West Bank, including El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).
They argued that such events contribute to marketing real estate projects on land belonging to Palestinians while disregarding the political and humanitarian realities surrounding the Palestinian cause.
According to protest organizers, the demonstration is part of a broader campaign targeting economic conferences and commercial events linked to Israel across the United States.

Egypt, Jordan foreign ministers stress full implementation of Gaza ceasefire agreement

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdul 'Aaty and Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman El-Safadi discussed on Saturday the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and affirmed the need to adhere to the ceasefire agreement and fully implement its provisions in line with U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan.
In a phone call, the two ministers stressed the necessity of ensuring sufficient and sustained humanitarian aid to Gaza and moving toward the second phase of the ceasefire agreement. They also emphasized the importance of announcing the formation of a Palestinian technocratic committee to administer the Strip, deploying an international stabilization force, and creating the conditions required for early recovery and reconstruction.
The ministers further underlined the need to preserve the unity of Palestinian territory between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and to link stabilization efforts to a clear political horizon that would lead to a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Gaza rights group: Israel turns ceasefire into cover for genocide in Gaza

A Palestinian legal watchdog says Israel has transformed the Gaza ceasefire into a political and military shield for continued killings, documenting an average of five Palestinian deaths per day since the agreement took effect.
The Gaza Human Rights Center said Israeli occupation forces have continued committing genocide in the Gaza Strip through deliberate and systematic attacks on civilians, including children and women, in blatant violation of the ceasefire in force since 10 October 2025, as well as international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
According to the center, in just 90 days after the ceasefire began, Israeli forces killed 439 Palestinians, an average of five per day, including 155 children and 61 women, and wounded 1,225 others. The figures, it said, show that Israel is using the ceasefire to sustain killing rather than stop it.
On Saturday morning, Israeli occupation forces killed two Palestinians, one in Gaza City’s El-Zaytoun neighborhood and another in Khan Younus, marking the latest in a daily pattern of lethal attacks on civilians despite the ceasefire.
The center said this underscores Israel’s treatment of the truce as a cover to continue genocide against Palestinians.
The center noted a sharp escalation last Thursday, when Israeli attacks killed 14 Palestinians and wounded 17 others in a series of airstrikes and live fire targeting displacement tents and a shelter school.
In northern Gaza, Israeli occupation forces stationed east of Jabalya refugee camp opened machine-gun fire on a populated area inside the camp, killing 11-year-old Hamsa Nidhal Housou after she was shot in the head.
The center described the incident as a deliberate killing of a civilian child not taking part in hostilities, noting that the girl’s father is detained in Israeli prisons.
An Israeli drone later struck the UNRWA-run Abu Hussein School in Jabalya, sheltering dozens of displaced families, killing 21-year-old Ibrahim Nabil Soboh and wounding others. Elsewhere, a missile strike south of the 'Asqoula junction in Gaza City killed four Palestinians and wounded five more.
In Khan Yunis, Israeli drones targeted displacement tents in the al-Mawasi area, killing three children: brothers Abdullah, 7, and Omar, 5, and 16-year-old Lian Omar Abu Shaqra. The center said the attack again demonstrates the intentional targeting of temporary refuge sites.
Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes on civilian homes inEl-Nusyrat and El-Buraij refugee camps in central Gaza, injuring residents and destroying houses. The center said the strikes form part of a systematic policy to destroy what remains of residential infrastructure and forcibly displace the population.
“These incidents are not isolated,” the Gaza Human Rights Center said. “They reflect a consistent pattern of intentional killing and civilian targeting.” It added that Israeli occupation forces continue bombardment and demolition operations within areas known as the “yellow line,” in a clear effort to render large swathes of Gaza uninhabitable.
The center stressed that the continued, deliberate killing of civilians, particularly children, displaced people, and shelter facilities, constitutes grave breaches of the ceasefire, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, and amounts, by scope, context, and intent, to genocide under the 1948 Genocide Convention.
It also said the attacks violate provisional measures issued by the International Court of Justice, which require Israel to protect Palestinian civilians and prevent acts of killing.
Warning that international silence enables further crimes and impunity, the center said the global community bears legal and moral responsibility for failing to protect civilians.
“Any ceasefire that does not actually stop killing or provide protection for civilians is a hollow ceasefire that is used to whitewash an ongoing genocide on the ground,” the statement concluded.

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).
After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.
By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.
So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.
No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.
No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.
This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to
match standard Arabic grammatical rules.
2. Underlined
letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are
references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English
alphabet.
3. The English letter i is
equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra,
as in Ibraheem
and Qasim
as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use
it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.
4. The English letter e is
equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha,
as in A'hmed
and Mu'hammed.
5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis,
who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the
West Bank, as illegal

The term colony is

English, particularly in America and Britain.

accurate to use the verbs "abduct"
and "kidnap"
than the verbs "detain"
and "arrest,"
in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and
interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is
because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal
in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the
Palestinian people.
