By January 3, 2025, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 55,658+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (45,658), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 10,000+). 

By January 3, 2025, the documented injuries exceeded 108,583.

By January 3, 2025, 840 Palestinians who were killed, 6,621 who were injured, and 10,726*, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023, including 310 women and 640 children (Some of the detainees have been released).

"إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا ۚ " (الإسْرَاءُ ، 17: 7).

"Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32).

"And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93).

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

 After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

Occupation commits eight massacres in Gaza over the past 24 hours

GAZA, January 3, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Israeli occupation army committed eight massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, resulting in the killing of 77 civilians and the injury of 145 others, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. These figures reflect only those who reached hospitals.

The number of people killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th, 2023, has surged to 45,658, the majority of whom are children and women. Some 108,583 others have been wounded.

This toll remains incomplete, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered along the roads, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews due to the relentless Israeli shelling and massive amount of debris.

Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters Day 455

In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 455th consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Friday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

The Israeli army’s large-scale genocidal campaign in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalya and Bait Lahya, has entered day 91, where its forces continue to intensively bomb homes and shelters and attack civilians while imposing a tight siege on the entire area.

Deliberate Israeli attacks on ambulance and civil defense workers already deprived northern Gaza of any rescue services.

Local sources said the Israeli army bombed a group of civilians near Al-Sharq bakery in Gaza City’s Al-Nasr street, killing one of them and injuring others.

Two other people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Al-Mughrabi street in Gaza City.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes bombed a girl school near al-Farouk Mosque in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the south of Gaza City, with no reported casualties.

Another Israeli attack claimed the lives of three children and injured other civilians near Al-Sham’ah Mosque in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

The Israeli army also attacked a gathering of citizens in Al-Lababeedi street in the west of Gaza, killing four of them, while casualties, including two martyrs, were reported following an Israeli strike on a warehouse sheltering displaced people in the east of Dair El-Bala'h City in central Gaza.

Another Israeli attack on guards protecting aid at the junction of Bahloul in Gaza City killed a young man.

An airstrike on a group of citizens near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City claimed the lives of four of them and injured others.

A number of people also suffered injuries when Israeli quadcopters dropped bombs on the market of Al-Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood in northern Gaza.

Earlier, several children were injured when the Israeli army targeted a house belonging to the family of Al-Dairawi in Al-Zawayida in central Gaza.

Within two hours, nine people were martyred, including a journalist, in Israeli attacks on three houses in central Gaza.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

In a related context, the health ministry in Gaza said on Friday that the Israeli army committed eight massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, and killed and injured at least 222 civilians, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

Israeli genocidal airstrike kills Palestinian photojournalist in Gaza

An Israeli genocidal airstrike at dawn Friday killed the Palestinian photojournalist 'Omar Al-Dairawi, in central Gaza Strip.

Local sources said that Israeli warplanes bombed the family home of 'Omar Al-Dairawi in Al-Zawayida area in central Gaza Strip.

The number of Palestinian journalists killed in the Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023 has thus risen to 203.

Another Palestinian journalist, 'Hasan Al-Qishawi, was killed in an Israeli air strike in western Gaza City on Thursday evening.

Since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, the Israeli army has been deliberately targeting Palestinian journalists, as part of its efforts to hide the truth and mask its war crimes in Gaza.

Israeli genocidal airstrike kills journalist 'Hasan Al-Qishawi in Gaza

Palestinian journalist Hasan Al-Qishawi was martyred on Thursday evening in an Israeli airstrike in the west of Gaza City.

His death has brought to 202 the number of the journalists killed by the Israeli occupation army since the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip started in October 2023.

Local sources said that journalist Al-Qishawi was targeted with a missile from an Israeli drone in the west of Gaza City.

Since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, the Israeli army has been deliberately targeting Palestinian journalists, as part of its efforts to hide the truth and mask its war crimes in Gaza.

In a related context, Gaza’s civil defense service said that at least 40 civilians had been martyred on Thursday in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City alone.

Over 100 other civilians were also injured in the intensive Israeli aerial attacks on different areas of Gaza City yesterday.

The civil defense service pointed out that 85 percent of its capabilities had been destroyed by the Israeli army in Gaza since the war started, stressing that its rescue crews need support in everything.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes targeted Al-Shuja'iyya neighborhood in Gaza City, resulting in the killing of seven civilians and the injury of several others, including some critically.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military threatened medical teams, patients and staff at Al-'Awda Hospital in northern Gaza that it would bomb the facility if it were not evacuated immediately.

Large fires broke out yesterday in the vicinity of the hospital due to ongoing bombardment and fires deliberately set by Israeli forces.

Six Palestinians, including three children, killed by the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) —

Six Palestinians, including three children, were killed today in a series of airstrikes conducted by Israeli warplanes on the Gaza Strip.

According to local reports, the Israeli fighter jets targeted the area around Al-Sham'a Mosque in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, with missiles. This attack resulted in the murder of three children and left several other civilians injured.

In another strike, an Israeli aircraft targeted a group of citizens near Al-Sharq Bakery on Al-Nasr Street in the western part of Gaza City. One individual was killed, and others sustained injuries.

Additionally, two other individuals were killed when an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft struck a civilian vehicle in the Al-Tayyabeen area, south of Al-Zawayida in central Gaza.

Medical sources reported that at least 42 people have been killed since the early hours of today, following a series of Israeli airstrikes on various areas across the Gaza Strip.

Six civilians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City and Dair El-Bala'h

GAZA, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) –

Six civilians were killed on Friday and several others were injured, some critically, in Israeli airstrikes on the cities of Gaza and Dair El-Bala'h, in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli fighter jets targeted a warehouse housing displaced persons east of Dair El-Bala'h, resulting in the killing of at least two civilians and the injury of several others, including some critically.

Two people were also killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of civilians southwest of Gaza City, in the northern Strip.

WAFA correspondent added that Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes on Al-Maghribi Street in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, west of Gaza, resulting in the killing of two civilians.

Israeli warplanes also shelled a fuel truck east of Dair El-Bala'h, resulting in the killing of two civilians.

Nine Palestinians killed, several injured, by the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City

GAZA, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) -

At least nine Palestinians were killed and several others injured this afternoon by the genocidal airstrikes carried out by the Israeli fighter jets on Gaza City.

According to WAFA correspondent, Israeli warplanes targeted a gathering of civilians at the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital, resulting in the killing of at least five people, with many others suffering serious injuries.

In a separate attack, four more individuals were killed, and others were injured after Israeli airstrikes hit Al-Lababeedi Street in the western part of Gaza City.

In a related incident, another Palestinian lost his life in artillery shelling by Israeli occupation forces near Wadi Al-Salqa in Dair El-Bala'h, located in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities have issued evacuation orders to residents in Al-Bureij refugee camp, also in central Gaza.

Since the early hours of today, Israeli airstrikes across Gaza have claimed the lives of approximately 30 individuals, with 19 fatalities reported in the central and southern regions of the territory.

26 civilians killed since dawn by the ongoing Israeli genocidal airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA, January 3, 2024 (WAFA) -

At least 26 civilians, including women and children, have been killed by the Israeli genocidal airstrikes on Gaza since dawn on Friday, according to medical sources.

WAFA correspondents said that two civilians were killed and several others were injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting the Khirbet Al-'Adas area, north of Rafa'h in southern Gaza. A civilian was also killed by Israeli gunfire in Al-Shakoush area south of the Gaza Strip.

Three more civilians were killed and others were injured after Israeli forces shelled a group of civilians in Al-Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood, west of Gaza City. Israeli aircraft also bombed Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Earlier, four civilians were killed and others were injured in Israeli strikes that targeted a house belonging to the Salman family and a nearby tent west of Dair El-Bala'h in central Gaza.

In another attack, photojournalist Amr Al-Dairawi and his parents were killed in an Israeli strike targeting the Shalt family home in Al-Zawayida town in central Gaza.

A civilian was also killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house near Abdel Aal junction on Al-Jalaa Street in western Gaza City. Another civilian was killed after Israeli aircraft targeted the Abu Al-'Ajeen area east of Dair El-Bala'h city.

According to WAFA correspondent, the death toll from an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to the Mishmish family in a residential tower in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in central Gaza has risen to five, including two children.

Several injuries were reported following Israeli artillery shelling on Khuza'a town east of Khan Younus in southern Gaza. Israeli forces also fired bullets and incendiary bombs at homes in the Al-Saftawi neighborhood, northwest of Gaza.

Israeli naval boats shelled the shores of Al-Nusayrat refugee camp, coinciding with artillery shelling, gunfire and an incursion by Israeli forces east of Al-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza. Helicopters also opened fire on homes and tents of displaced residents in the Central Gaza Governorate.

Furthermore, medical sources stated that Israeli forces destroyed oxygen and electricity stations at the Indonesian Hospital in Bait Lahya in northern Gaza, where medical supplies have run out. According to the sources, the military continues to raze the area around the hospital, destroying all means of livelihood in the area.

12 Palestinians killed, dozens injured by the Israeli genocidal airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) –

At least 12 people were killed and many others injured early Friday by a series of Israeli genocidal airstrikes targeting different areas across the Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that three individuals, including journalist 'Omar Al-Dairawi, were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit a home belonging to the Shalt family in the town of Al-Zawayida, in central Gaza.

In another incident, four people were killed and several others wounded when an airstrike targeted a home and a nearby tent belonging to the Salman family west of Dair El-Bala'h, also in central Gaza.

Elsewhere, one person was killed in an Israeli strike on a house near Abdul 'Aal Junction on Al-Jalaa Street, west of Gaza City. Another person was killed when an airstrike hit the Abu Al-'Ajeen area east of Dair El-Bala'h.

Earlier last night, 16 people, including children, were killed, and others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on residential homes in central Gaza.

Reports indicate that an airstrike on a home belonging to the Mishmish family in the Baidas Tower resulted in the murder of five Palestinians, including two children, and injuries to several family members. 

Another airstrike on a house belonging to the Sheikh family in the Al-Sawar'ha area of the same camp killed five people.

Additionally, nine individuals were killed in an airstrike on a home belonging to the Abu Libda family in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

Palestinian elderly injured in an attack by the illegal Israeli settlers, in the West Bank

The Palestinian elderly man, Khalid Al-Najjar, suffered head injuries after a horde of the illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers savagely assaulted him last night in Masafir Yatta, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron) in the occupied West Bank.

Local official Ratib Al-Jubour said that the settler attack happened in Quwaiwis area near Sha'b Al-Batm in Masafir Yatta, adding that the wounded elderly, Khalid Al-Najjar, was transferred to Abul-'Hasan Al-Qasim Hospital in Yatta.

Settler violence against Palestinians is a daily issue in the West Bank. Instead of taking action to combat their crimes, the Israeli military and security authorities aid and abet settlers in harming Palestinians, destroying their property and seizing their lands.

Settlers carry out a variety of crimes against Palestinians under military protection, including physical assaults, stone throwing, threats and harassment, damaging of trees and crops, vandalism of cars and property, blocking of roads and even firing of live ammunition.

Young Palestinian man injured by the Israeli occupation forces’ live bullets, east of Nablus

NABLUS, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) –

A young Palestinian man was injured on Friday by Israeli soldiers’ live gunfire during an Israeli military raid on Bait Foureek, east of Nablus.

The Palestine Red Crescent in Nablus reported that its teams provided first aid to a 20-year-old youth who was shot in the foot, and transported him to the hospital for further treatment.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Bait Foureek, amid the firing of live bullets and tear gas canisters, spurring confrontations.

Palestinian young man injured by the Israeli occupation forces in Al-Beerih

AL-BIREH, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) –

A Palestinian young man was injured today by live fire from Israeli occupation forces in the Jabal Al-Taweel area of Al-Beerih city, in the central West Bank.

According to local sources, Israeli forces opened fire on the young man, wounding him before detaining him at the scene.

Later, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its medical teams treated the young man for a gunshot wound to the leg in Jabal Al-Taweel. The injured individual was subsequently transferred to a hospital for further medical care.

Since early this morning, Israeli forces have stormed the Jabal Al-Taweel and Sa'het Mar'haba areas of Al-Beerih. No reports of detentions have been reported thus far.

Palestinians suffocate by tear gas as Israeli occupation forces suppress a protest against the illegal Israeli settlement activities, south of Nablus

NABLUS, January 3, 2024 (WAFA) –

Several Palestinians suffocated on Friday from tear gas inhalation, as the Israeli occupation forces dispersed protest against the illegal Israeli settlement activities, in the town of Baita, south of Nablus, according to local sources.

Israeli forces fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at the weekly protest in Baita, causing multiple cases of suffocation among the participants. They were all treated at the scene.

Israeli forces also targeted ambulance vehicles near Jabal Sabi'h, where they assaulted medical staff from the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and Baita Emergency Medical Services, confiscating the key to one of the ambulances.

Baita has been subjected to frequent attacks by Israeli forces and colonists since the establishment of the illegal "Evitar" outpost on Palestinian land atop Jabal Sabi'h.

On September 6, 2023, Israeli forces killed Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, during a weekly protest against colonial expansion. Since the establishment of the outpost in May 2021, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Baita has reached 18.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap two Palestinians and seize a vehicle in Nablus

NABLUS, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces kidnapped two Palestinian citizens and seized a vehicle during a raid early on Friday, in the city of Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank.

Local and security sources told WAFA that the Israeli forces stormed the Old City and surrounding areas, kidnapping Rashad 'Halawa and Montasir Al-Jabi after raiding and searching their homes. 

The soldiers reportedly caused extensive damage to the properties during the searches.

In addition to the kidnappings, the Israeli occupation forces seized a vehicle from Al-'Aqaba neighborhood of the city.

Several Palestinians Friday evening sustained injuries in an attack by the illegal Israeli settlers to the east of Yatta, south of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to a local activist.

Osama Makhamra said that a hoard of the illegal Israeli settlers, under the Israeli occupation army protection, stormed Al-Buwaib village, opened live ammunition and assaulted the farmers, causing several to sustain bruises and fractures.

Two of the casualties, a father and his son, were kidnapped along with two others by Israeli forces.

The illegal Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

The settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

There are over 700,000 illegal Israeli settlers living in colonies in the West Bank and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

Seven sustain injuries in in an attack by the illegal Israeli settlers, near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, January 3, 2025 (WAFA) –

Seven Palestinians Friday evening sustained injuries in an attack by the illegal Israeli settlers on the outskirts of Silwan town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to a municipal source.

Ra-id 'Hamid, Mayor of Silwad, said that Israeli colonists, under army protection, attacked seven residents in the Nusayba area, west of the town, beating them with batons and hurling stones at them. The residents sustained injuries across their bodies.

'Hamid added that the assailants torched six vehicles in the area, and the fire spread to some olive trees.

He explained that the colonists mounted their attack on the residents of the town when the latter sought to tend to their cultivated lands in the Nusayba area.

Meanwhile, a hoard of the illegal Israeli settlers stormed the 'Arab Al-Mulai'hat Bedouin community, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Aree'ha (Jericho), according to 'Hasan Al-Mulai'hat, supervisor of Al-Baidar Organization in Defense of Bedouin Rights.

The Israeli squatters roamed the dwellings of the community, spreading panic among the residents.

Renewed attacks by the illegal Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation army, in occupied Palestinian territory of the West Bank

A horde of the illegal Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, have escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their properties across the West Bank, with multiple attacks reported on Friday in Ramallah and Nablus.

In Ramallah, colonists targeted on Friday the outskirts of the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of the city. Local sources reported that colonists, protected by Israeli soldiers, attacked agricultural lands in the eastern plain area. Palestinian residents confronted the colonists, leading to confrontations.

The illegal Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, also destroyed tents and sheep pens belonging to a Palestinian citizen in the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.

In Nablus, a similar attack took place in the village of Salim, east of the city. Early on Friday, a group of colonists, under Israeli military protection, attacked homes in the northern part of Salim. Palestinian residents attempted to confront the attack, leading to confrontations, during which Israeli soldiers fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters toward residents and their homes, however, no injuries were reported.

The Israeli occupation army storms the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza city, orders its evacuation

The Israeli occupation forces stormed on Friday the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, made threats against its medical staff and patients, and ordered its immediate evacuation.

According to media sources, the hospital is now under tight siege from Israeli forces, which keep firing live ammunition around it.

Most of those inside the besieged hospital are women and children as well as a number of wounded people who are completely unable to move.

The director of the Indonesian Hospital already stated that the facility had run out of all medical supplies, calling for urgent international action to save the lives of wounded civilians.

He pointed out that the Israeli army continued to bulldoze and destroy the area around the hospital today.

He added that the Israeli army also destroyed the hospital’s oxygen and electricity sections, making it impossible to provide vital medical services.

Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics: 3,500 children threatened with death due to malnutrition in Gaza

The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics reported that more than 3,500 children in the Gaza Strip are threatened with death due to malnutrition. The Bureau confirmed that about 30% of children in Gaza suffer from acute malnutrition, emphasizing that 2,500 children in the area urgently need medical evacuation.

It warned of an increase in the number of children suffering from acute malnutrition in Gaza, stressing that the humanitarian situation there is extremely dire. Estimates indicate that there are 50,000 children in need of urgent and immediate care due to acute malnutrition, noting that the numbers are expected to rise by 20%.

The United Nations had previously warned that more than 17,000 pregnant women are on the brink of famine in the Gaza Strip, while 11,000 pregnant women are already living in conditions resembling famine.

Israel continues its aggressive war on the Gaza Strip for the 455th consecutive day, amidst ongoing air and artillery bombardments of civilian homes, schools, and shelters, committing further atrocities and war crimes.

As the war continues, the suffering of patients and the injured in Gaza worsens, amid a lack of equipment, medicines, and medical supplies to treat their wounds and pain, with the occupation preventing their entry into the region.

With U.S. support, the Israeli occupation has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in over 154,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of whom are children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and a deadly famine.

In contempt of the international community, Israel continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council’s call for an immediate ceasefire and orders from the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

WHO: 12,000 wounded denied right to leave Gaza for life-saving medical treatment

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said Israel is still preventing more than 12,000 sick and wounded Palestinians from leaving the Gaza Strip to receive life-saving medical treatment abroad.

Ghebreyesus added, in a statement on Thursday, that at least 5,383 patients have been evacuated with the WHO’s help since the outbreak of the war in October 2023, leaving more than 12,000 Palestinians still waiting to leave Gaza to receive life-saving medical treatment.

He explained that the rate of evacuations plunged when the Rafa'h border crossing shut down in May after Israeli troops took it over, noting that only 436 patients have left Gaza since then.

“At this rate, it would take 5-10 years to evacuate all these critically ill patients, including thousands of children,” Ghebreyesus said.

He pointed out that “In the meantime, their conditions get worse, and some die due to the lack of appropriate treatment and medical care.”

Ghebreyesus urged Israel to increase the approval rate for medical evacuations, including no denials of child patients, and to open all possible border crossings and corridors, as the Israeli occupation controls all the entry and exit points in Gaza.

'Hamas condemns the Israeli persistence in attacking Palestinian refugee displacement camps in Gaza

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, said the Israeli occupation army escalation of its aggression and targeting of tents sheltering Palestinian displaced families reflect its insistence on continuing the genocidal war against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The Movement called, in a statement on Thursday evening, on the world to take urgent action to curb Israel’s massacres in Gaza and to organize more pro-Palestine events.

“The fascist Israeli occupation army’s escalation of its aggression across the Gaza Strip, targeting tents of displaced people in Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younus and bombing inhabited homes in Jabalya, Gaza City and Dair El-Bala'h — which claimed the lives of more than five people, mostly women and children according to an initial toll [on Thursday] — reflects its persistence in the war of extermination against defenseless civilians and the unprecedented scale of its violations against international and humanitarian laws,” Hamas said.

Hamas called for pressuring the Israeli occupation regime to end its daily massacres in Gaza and for staging more events in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in support of their rights to live on their own land, liberate their holy sites and establish their state.
