In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

by Israeli Occupation Regime Forceshttp://english.wafa.ps/, https://english.palinfo.com/, https://imemc.org/, https://paltoday.ps/ar/ *** *** In violation of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli government delays release of Palestinian prisoners Saturday 22-February-2025 GAZA, (PIC) In violation of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli occupation government postponed on Saturday evening the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the six Israeli captives who were handed over by the Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, earlier today. Israel’s public broadcasting corporation quoted a government official as saying that the release of the Palestinian prisoners was delayed at the behest of premier Benjamin Netanyahu until he finishes his consultations with the security cabinet. In this regard, senior Hamas official Nahid Al-Fakhouri said there were a delay in the release of the Palestinian prisoners and violations against them, accusing Israeli jailers of assaulting the prisoners who were supposed to be released today. Al-Fakhourialso accused the Israeli government of attempting to tamper with the list of the prisoners slated for release, affirming that his Movement is ready to release all the Israeli captives in exchange for all the Palestinian prisoners. According to different Palestinian media outlets, the Israeli occupation authority is expected to release a seventh group of 620 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement. These prisoners include 23 children, one woman and 445 detainees from Gaza, who were kidnaped from Gaza during the Israeli genocidal war. 97 of those prisoners will be forcibly deported from the occupied Palestinian territories. *** 'Hamas says ready to release all Israeli captives in one go Saturday 22-February-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, has affirmed that it is ready to release all the Israeli captives remaining in the Gaza Strip in “one go” in exchange for a lasting truce, a complete Israeli army withdrawal from the besieged enclave, and the release of Palestinian prisoners. This came in a statement released on Saturday by Hamas spokesman 'Hazim Qasim ahead of the seventh exchange of prisoners between the Movement and the Israeli occupation regime. “The major exchange of prisoners today reflects that our Palestinian people are making one of their great achievements in the Al-Aqsa Flood battle thanks to their steadfastness, sacrifices, and the resistance’s bravery,” spokesman Qasim said. “Today, al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance are forcing the Zionist occupation to cross the red lines it has set for itself regarding the release of prisoners, and they are about to extract the freedom of several noted prisoners,” the spokesman added. Later in the morning, al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, released six Israeli captives in Gaza in exchange for 602 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. *** QB hands over six Israeli captives to Red Cross Saturday 22-February-2025 GAZA, (PIC) Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of 'Hamas, released on Saturday a seventh group of six Israeli captives as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement The two captives — Tal Shoham and Avera Mengistu — were put into Red Cross vehicles after being brought out onto a stage by al-Qassam fighters in the presence of a crowd of civilians in Rafa'h, south of Gaza. Soon after, the Israeli military confirmed that the two had been brought into Israel. A few hours later, Red Cross representatives received three Israeli captives during a similar handover parade in the central Gaza Strip town of Al-Nusayrat. They are Omer Shem Tov, Eliya Cohen and Omer Wenkert. The sixth Israeli captive, Hisham Al-Sayid, was handed over without any ceremony in Gaza City. Al-Sayid is a 37-year-old Bedouin Israeli occupation soldier, who entered the Gaza Strip in April 2015 and was captured by al-Qassam Brigades. In exchange, the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) is expected to release later today 602 Palestinian prisoners, including 50 with life sentences and 47 who were rejailed after their release as part of the 2011 prisoner exchange deal. 108 of those being released by the IOA will be immediately banished from the occupied Palestinian territories, unable to return to their homes. Among them is Na-il Al-Barghouthi, the longest-serving political prisoner in Palestine and the world, who spent nearly 45 years behind bars. Many of the Palestinian prisoners released in recent weeks bore marks of torture and abuse and reported they were beaten and mistreated until the last moments before their release. *** Fat'h Revolutionary Council affirms stance against displacement, alternative homeland RAMALLAH, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – The Fat'h Revolutionary Council has affirmed its firm stance against the displacement of the Palestinian people, the idea of an alternative homeland, and any questioning of the status of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people. The statement was issued at the conclusion of the Council’s 12th session in Ramallah, which focused on the ongoing struggle against Israeli aggression and the importance of national unity. The council reaffirmed that the core focus of the Palestinian struggle today remains confronting the Israeli occupation regime, standing firm on Palestinian land, and rallying regional and international support to halt the Israeli aggression. It emphasized the urgent need for continued aid and reconstruction efforts for Gaza, while also rejecting any attempts to displace Palestinians or undermine their right to return. In its statement, Fat'h condemned the Israeli occupation’s ongoing systematic destruction of Palestinian refugee camps in the northern West Bank, along with the tightening of blockades and incursions into Palestinian cities and villages. The council declared that these actions necessitate a reassessment of relations with Israel, which has disregarded agreements, violated international law, and consistently undermined Palestinian rights. The Revolutionary Council also reiterated Fat'h's unwavering commitment to supporting the families of martyrs, prisoners, and injured individuals, emphasizing that they are "heroes of freedom" who deserve top priority in terms of protection and care. Additionally, it reaffirmed the Palestinian people's right to resist the occupation, as outlined by international law and conventions. The statement underscored that Palestinian unity is a fundamental condition for resisting occupation and achieving victory. Fat'h also stressed the importance of enhancing efforts and dialogue with its partners in the PLO, with plans to convene the Palestinian Central Council in the near future. The Council extended an invitation to those outside the PLO to return to the organization and commit to its programs, which are based on political and geographic unity for all of Palestine, including Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. The movement also emphasized the importance of United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in providing essential services to Palestinian refugees. Fatah called for continued support for UNRWA and for the international community to protect the agency’s operations, especially in the face of Israeli efforts to block and raid its offices. Fat'h reiterated the centrality of Jerusalem to the Palestinian cause. The statement urged Arab and Islamic countries to take responsibility for safeguarding Jerusalem and supporting its residents in the face of Israeli actions to impose closures, siege, and Judaize the city’s educational system. Furthermore, the Revolutionary Council called for the international community to convene a session of the UN Security Council or, if that proves impossible, to resume the emergency session of the UN General Assembly to halt the Israeli aggression and reject the ongoing ethnic cleansing and displacement of Palestinians. The council also expressed support for efforts to preserve the two-state solution, backing the initiatives led by Saudi Arabia and France. It called for wide international backing for the upcoming conference in New York in June and encouraged participation in the next conference for the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions. Finally, Fat'h emphasized the importance of holding Israeli war criminals accountable for their actions, following the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrants. It also called for further pursuit of legal actions against Israel for its crimes of genocide, in addition to pushing for the enforcement of the advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice, which demands the end of the Israeli occupation within one year. Regarding the ongoing plans for displacement, Fatah reaffirmed the Palestinian right of return as enshrined in UN Resolution 194 of 1949. The movement insisted that any return must be to the cities and villages from which Palestinians were forcibly displaced in 1948. M.N. *** British doctors: Long-term impacts of Gaza war could quadruple Palestinian death toll Saturday 22-February-2025 GAZA, (PIC) Two British doctors who worked in the Gaza Strip during the Israeli genocidal war have issued dire predictions over the long-term health of Palestinian civilians, warning that large numbers of them will continue to die. “The prevalence of infectious diseases and multiple health problems linked to malnutrition, alongside the destruction of hospitals and killing of medical experts, meant mortality rates among Palestinians in Gaza would remain high after the cessation of Israeli shelling,” according to the Guardian newspaper on Saturday. The Guardian quoted British-Palestinian reconstructive surgeon, Ghassan Abu-Sitta, who worked at Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli Arab hospitals in Gaza City shortly after the war started, as saying that levels of malnutrition there were so acute that many children would “never recover.” “Scientists have estimated that the total deaths from Israel’s war on Gaza could ultimately be as high as 186,000. The figure is almost four times higher than the 46,700 deaths that Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry has reported,” the Guardian said. Prof. Nizam Mamode, a retired British transplant surgeon from Hampshire who last year worked at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza, said the number of “non-trauma deaths” could ultimately be considerably higher than 186,000. One factor, he said, was the targeting of healthcare workers during the war. He said that of six vascular surgeons who once covered the north of the Strip, just one had remained, while there were no cancer pathologists left alive. Abu-Sitta said entire teams of medical specialists had been eradicated from Gaza, and the training needed for replacing them would take up to 10 years. “Certain specialties have been eviscerated,” he said. “There are no more nephrologists [a doctor specializing in kidney care] left. They’ve all been killed. There are no more board-certified emergency medicine physicians.” Abu-Sitta, a 55-year-old plastic surgeon from London, said the long-term health of people in Gaza depends on how quickly the territory and its infrastructure would be rebuilt. “Last week, thousands of Palestinians began returning to northern Gaza to scenes of utter destruction after the withdrawal of Israeli troops from a strategic corridor that divides the north and south of Gaza,” the Guardian pointed out. “But to get doctors to move back to the north, you need to house them. Where are they going to live? Where are their families going to live?” Abu-Sitta said. He stressed that irreversible damage had already been done to large numbers of children. “Studies on people who survived the second world war showed they are more likely to get NCDs [non-communicable diseases] if they had malnutrition as children. They’re also more likely to become diabetics, more likely to have hypertension, more likely to have diabetes in old age. You don’t recover,” he explained. Last month, the UN estimated that more than 60,000 children in Gaza would need treatment for acute malnutrition in 2025, and pointed out that some of those kids had already died. “Another concern is the spread of disease, helped by the destruction of infrastructure such as sewage facilities,” the Guardian said. Abu-Sitta has provided evidence to Scotland Yard and the International Criminal Court over what he witnessed working in Gaza. He described the prevalence of disease there as a “catastrophe.” “Hepatitis, diarrheal disease, respiratory disease, polio that re-emerged in the war, will all continue because there’s still no sewerage and clean drinking water, still no housing, no primary-care clinics. You’re not going to be able to stop or even stem infectious diseases,” he said. He warned of the spread of drug-resistant bacteria, recounting an instance when six out of seven consecutive patients he saw had “multiple drug-resistant bacteria.” In addition to the long-term impacts, Abu-Sitta said 13,000 Gazans required immediate surgical interventions from war wounds. “The sheer number of complex injuries that need treatment means that it’s going to consume the health system for a generation,” he said. Both doctors said the brutality and number of injuries they witnessed while working in Gaza was hard to overstate. Mamode, who gave evidence to MPs on the British parliament’s international development select committee inquiry into Gaza’s healthcare, said up to 70 percent of those he operated on were children. “You’d have a three-year-old in intensive care for a week and we’d be told, ‘The parents are killed, the siblings are killed. Wait and see whether anyone is going to turn up for them.’ That was quite common,” Mamode said. Abu-Sitta also said that half of his patients were children and that despite working in numerous conflict zones including Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, he had never performed as many amputations each day as he had in Gaza. Mamode, a former clinical lead of transplant surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, warned that another vital long-term health issue was the psychological scarring on a population after 15 months of fighting. “In the coming months, those issues will start to come to the fore because people have just been focusing on day-to-day survival. When that pressure comes off [the psychological impacts] are going to manifest themselves in all sorts of ways,” he said. *** ****** Death toll in Gaza rises to 48,329 amid Israeli genocide GAZA, February 22, 2025 (Wafa and Anadolu) – The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 48,329, the majority of whom are women and children, since the start of the Israeli genocide in October 2023, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today. According to the same sources, the number of injuries has climbed to 111,753, while thousands remain trapped under the rubble as rescue efforts continue to face significant obstacles. Over the past 48 hours, 10 more casualties were brought to hospitals across Gaza, including one individual who succumbed to the injuries and seven others whose bodies were recovered from beneath the debris. Additionally, four injured individuals arrived at medical facilities as a result of the latest Israeli attacks. Medical teams have warned that many victims remain under collapsed buildings and on the streets, with emergency responders struggling to reach them due to the lack of equipment necessary for debris removal and retrieval of victims. M.N. *** Khan Younus Municipality appeals for allowing entry of sewage network maintenance equipment Saturday 22-February-2025 KHAN YUNIS, (PIC) Khan Younus Municipality in the southern Gaza Strip appealed to donor institutions and the international community to intervene immediately and urgently to bring in pumping and clearing equipment for the maintenance of sewage networks that were destroyed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during the genocidal war, as well as heavy machinery to remove rubble and open streets. The Khan Younus Municipality’s Emergency Committee explained in a statement on Saturday that the IOFs targeted the municipality’s service work system, as it destroyed 24 machines serving water, sanitation, and hygiene sectors, and swept away 100,000 linear meters of transmission lines and main sewage networks. The committee stated that the IOFs exacerbated the daily suffering of the residents as a result of the overflow of sewage water in the streets resulting from the IOF repeated targeting of residential areas and the service sector, as this contributed significantly to the spread of deadly diseases and epidemics among citizens. It pointed out that the attempts of Khan Younus Municipality to extend services to the citizens and spare them health risks by all means and capabilities remain hindered due to the destruction of machines used for clearing sewage lines and manholes. Khan Younus Municipality appealed to donors to intervene immediately and urgently to provide modern machines and bulldozers to help remove the rubble and actually begin the reconstruction phase of the Gaza Strip. *** ý*** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces ***ý *** IOFs storm houses of prisoners to be released on Saturday Saturday 22-February-2025 RAMALLAH, (PIC) Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) stormed the town of Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, on Friday night, resulting in the eruption of clashes with the residents after IOF raided the homes of Palestinian prisoners, who are supposed to be released on Saturday as part of the seventh batch of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Israeli troops sabotaged the preparations made by the families to receive their relatives among the prisoners to be released today. Palestinian news pages published a video clip showing the Israeli occupation soldiers ascending the dome of Salah al-Din Mosque during their storming of Abu Dis town. The Prisoners’ Media Office, meanwhile, reported on Friday that the Israeli authorities are preventing the wife of the dean of prisoners, Na-il Al-Barghouti, and the family of the prisoner Khalil Abu al-Rub, from traveling to Egypt to receive their relatives who are scheduled to be released today. The Office said in a statement, the occupation intelligence agents banned Al-Barghouthi’s (Abu Al-Nour) wife from traveling, as she was heading to Egypt to receive her husband. The statement added, “The occupation intelligence prevents the family of the prisoner Ashraf Khaleel 'Husain Abu Al-Rub from traveling to meet their son who was deported to Egypt.” The prisoners Na-il Al-Barghouthi and Ashraf Abu Al-Rub are among the prisoners deported from Palestine as their families reside in the occupied West Bank. They are scheduled to be released on Saturday, as part of the seventh batch of the prisoner exchange deal. Earlier on Friday, the Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced that Israel will release 602 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday, including 50 prisoners sentenced to life and 60 others with high sentences. By Friday, Israel had received 19 prisoners and four bodies, and is scheduled to receive six more prisoners on Saturday, in addition to four more bodies next week, thus ending the first phase of the agreement. In return, the Israeli occupation regime released 1,135 Palestinian prisoners, including dozens who were sentenced to life imprisonment. Israel is still delaying the start of second round of negotiations for the second phase of the agreement, which was supposed to begin on February 3. *** PGMO: 365 Palestinian children are languishing in Israeli occupation prisons Saturday 22-February-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza said more than 365 Palestinian children are currently languishing in Israeli occupation prisons, some of whom are children from the Gaza Strip who were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) during the 15-month Israeli genocidal war. The director of the Office, Dr. Isma'eel Al-Thawabtah, mentioned in a statement on Saturday that these children are subjected to the most heinous forms of torture in Israel’s custody. He pointed out that Palestinian children are being trialed before unjust, racist, and criminal military courts, in flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions. According to data published by the Prisoners’ Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, more than 770 cases of administrative detention have been recorded among children in the West Bank since the beginning of the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip. However, no data is available on the number of prisoners among children of the Gaza Strip who have been arrested since the start of the war, in light of the ongoing crime of enforced disappearance. *** Martyrs, thousands displaced in Israel’s ongoing aggression on Jineen for the 33rd day Saturday 22-February-2025 Jineen, (PIC) The Israeli aggression on Jineen and its refugee camp continues for the 33rd consecutive day Saturday, resulting in 27 martyrs, dozens of injuries, and the forcible displacement of thousands of citizens. The media committee of Jenin camp reported that the city is witnessing multiple field events, the most notable being the martyrdom of the girl Rimas Al-'Amouri (13 years old) on Friday after Israeli occupation soldiers shot her directly while she was in front of her house in the Jabriyat neighborhood near Jenin camp. The committee said in a statement that the occupation army has deployed military reinforcements accompanied by bulldozers in Jenin and the entrances of its camp. It pointed out that the occupation forces have forcibly displaced more than 40,000 citizens and destroyed hundreds of homes, while bulldozing streets and infrastructure, leaving widespread destruction. The committee pointed out that the occupation forces continue to seize a number of citizens’ homes after turning them into military barracks, imposing a siege on the entry and exit from the camp, with snipers present at all times, harassing and detaining citizens. It confirmed that the occupation’s aggression on Jenin is being met with resistance, adding that home-made explosive devices were detonated at military vehicles during the incursion into the town of Beer Al-Basha to the southwest of Jenin. The committee noted that the Palestinian Authority’s security apparatuses continue to intensify their activities in the city of Jineen and its villages, carrying out raids and pursuing young men and wanted resistance fighters, as part of their efforts to support the occupation army in eliminating the resistance. *** Israeli forces raid homes of detainees ahead of their release in Mughayer village RAMALLAH, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided the homes of two Palestinian prisoners from the village of Al-Mughayir, northeast of Ramallah, on Saturday evening. The two prisoners, Jabr and 'Aatif Abu 'Ulayyan, are scheduled to be released as part of the seventh batch of the exchange deal under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Rabee' Abu Na'eem, a local Palestinian resident, told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed Al-Mughayir, launching an assault on the homes of the two prisoners. The forces fired stu grenades and toxic gas canisters around the houses, causing a child to suffer from suffocation, after which he was transported to hospital for treatment. Abu Na'eem added that Israeli forces posted threatening notices around the homes, warning against holding any celebrations to mark the prisoners' release. M.N. *** Israeli occupation forces place barbed wire around several homes in Jineen refugee camp Jineen, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces placed barbed wire around several Palestinian homes in the Jineen refugee camp on Saturday, making them inaccessible to their residents. Local sources reported that the homes, located in the western area of the camp, were encircled with barbed wire, and their residents were forcibly displaced and informed that they were prohibited from returning until further notice. This move comes amid the ongoing Israeli military assault on the city and refugee camp, which has entered its 33rd consecutive day. The offensive has resulted in the killing of 27 Palestinians, with dozens more injured and detained. M.N. *** Israeli occupation forces surround house, target it with missile near Nablus NABLUS, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces targeted a house with a missile at dawn on Saturday in the town of Yaseed, north of Nablus. Security sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town, surrounded a house, targeted it with a missile, raided several other houses, and conducted field investigations with citizens. The colonists threw stones at the properties, causing damage to several of the vehicles and homes. No injuries were reported among the local Palestinian population. M.N. *** Illegal Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli forces, steal livestock and property near Ramallah RAMALLAH, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – A group of the illegal Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces, attacked the town of Dair Dibwan, east of Ramallah, on Saturday evening, stealing approximately 800 sheep, three horses, two donkeys, and water tanks from local residents. Palestinian security sources told WAFA that the illegal Israeli settlers, accompanied by the Israeli army, raided the town and carried out the thefts, adding that the livestock stolen belonged to local citizens Nayif Mansara and Abdul 'Haleem 'Awadha. Later, Israeli occupation forces raided the town and stormed a home, confiscating the security camera footage from the property. 'Hasan Mulai'hat, a local anti-colonization activist, reported in a press statement that a group from the Price Tag militia burned the home and vehicle of Dawood Mu'hammed Mousa Ka'abna, a resident of the community. The colonists also fired heavy gunfire at local residents and vandalized their properties during the assault. No injuries were reported. The Israeli settler groups, including the Price Tag militia, are known for their violence aimed at intimidating and displacing Palestinians. These colonists often carry out attacks on Palestinian civilians, their homes, crops, and livestock, and their actions are frequently accompanied by vandalism, arson, and assaults. M.N. *** *** News Related to the Israeli Genocidal War on the Palestinian People *** Five Gulf states, Egypt, and Jordan hold mini summit over Gaza in Saudi Arabia, Saturday 22-February-2025 RIYADH, (PIC) Five Gulf countries, Egypt and Jordan held an unofficial mini Arab summit in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to agree on a joint position against US president Donald Trump’s plan to relocate the Gaza residents to Egypt and Jordan. An informed source close to the Saudi government told Agence France-Presse that the summit was held and concluded on Friday afternoon, without releasing any official statement, pointing out that Oman did not attend the meeting. The Saudi state-run TV channel Al-Ekhbariya published a photo of the Arab leaders who participated in the summit in Riyadh, without stating its agenda or location. On Thursday, Saudi Arabia said the meeting would be unofficial and brotherly, and its decisions would be on the agenda of the emergency Arab summit to be held in Egypt on March 4. Meanwhile, different media outlets talked about possible disagreements that would mar the upcoming summit, especially over the issues of governing post-war Gaza and funding its reconstruction. *** 7th Arab Parliament Conference rejects displacement plans and stresses support for Palestinian rights CAIRO, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – The 7th Arab Parliament Conference has firmly rejected any plans for the displacement of the Palestinian people and annexation of Palestinian land, affirming its opposition to efforts aimed at undermining the Palestinian cause. The conference condemned such proposals as crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, and a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles. This statement was issued in the final communiqué of the 7th Arab Parliament Conference, which took place on Saturday at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, with the participation of Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian National Council, Mousa Hadeed. The communiqué stressed that "Arab unity is the first line of defense against all attempts and schemes to liquidate the Palestinian cause." The conference adopted a parliamentary document to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and reject all Israeli schemes, including the annexation of the West Bank and other plans aimed at eradicating the Palestinian cause. This document will be submitted to Arab leaders during the upcoming emergency Arab Summit in Egypt on March 4, 2025. The document outlined 10 core principles of the Arab stance on the Palestinian cause, with key points emphasizing full support for the Palestinian people's inalienable rights, including the right to self-determination, the end of the occupation, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The conference also called on Arab parliaments to coordinate efforts to suspend the membership of the Israeli Knesset in the Inter-Parliamentary Union and other regional parliamentary organizations, particularly the Mediterranean Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean. Additionally, the conference tasked the Arab Parliament with preparing a unified Arab law to reject and criminalize all forms of displacement of the Palestinian people, which would serve as parliamentary support for the position of Arab governments in their rejection of any efforts to force displacement on Palestinians. This law aims to counter any attempts to impose a false reality at the expense of Palestinians' historical and legitimate rights. The conference expressed strong support for Egypt's efforts, in coordination with the Palestinian National Authority, to develop a comprehensive plan for the reconstruction of Gaza without displacing its residents and to gather international parliamentary support to thwart any plan to forcibly displace Gaza's population. M.N. *** Norway and Spain reject Trump's plan to displace Gaza’s population JOHANNESBURG, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – The foreign ministers of Norway, Espen Barth Eide, and Spain, José Manuel Albares, have reaffirmed their countries' opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to displace the people of Gaza. The ministers made these remarks on Saturday during the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide expressed concern about "certain indications regarding the displacement of Palestinians to other territories," calling such actions a violation of international law. He emphasized the importance of improving the quality of life for Palestinians, ensuring they have their own independent state, and supporting the reconstruction of Gaza, which has been heavily destroyed by Israeli military aggression, both physically and politically. Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares affirmed that Gaza is Palestinian land and that Spain fully supports the Palestinian people, stating that they must remain in Gaza. He also affirmed that Spain is providing humanitarian aid to Gaza to help restore normalcy for the Palestinian population and will be part of the reconstruction efforts in the region. M.N. *** United Nations expresses deep concern over Israeli's ongoing aggression on the West Bank RAMALLAH, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Nations expressed its deep concern over the continued Israeli aggression on the cities of the West Bank, especially in the north, for the second month in a row. The official spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, said during a press conference that the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs continues to monitor the situation in the occupied West Bank. He stressed that the UN office "remains concerned about the ongoing operations launched by Israeli forces in the northern part of the West Bank, that Israel is carrying out its longest attacks since the early 2000s." He pointed out that "attacks by Israeli settlers who usurp Palestinian lands are still ongoing." The UN spokesman revealed that an average of 5 "violent attacks by colonists" were documented daily in the West Bank during the last week. He affirmed that these attacks "caused damage to Palestinian property, and settlers cut agricultural water pipes, which negatively affected the livelihoods of dozens of Palestinian farmers." "The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has documented the displacement of some 2,300 Palestinians, including 1,100 children, across the West Bank since last year, due to settler attacks and restrictions imposed by Israel," Dujarric added. Y.S. *** OIC strongly condemns Netanyahu and Katz's storming of Tulkarm camp RAMALLAH, February 22, 2025 (WAFA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the storming of Toulkarm refugee camp by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Yisrael Katz. In a statement, the organization considered the move an extension of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. It warned of the danger of this aggression targeting the camps in the West Bank, as part of attempts to liquidate the refugee issue, their existence and their right to return, through the demolition of homes and their forced displacement, in flagrant violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions. The organization renewed its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities, intervene urgently to stop these ongoing Israeli violations and crimes, and hold those responsible accountable.
