While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

'Hamas calls on the Red Cross to protect Palestinian prisoners’ rights

Sunday 2-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to protect Palestinian prisoners’ rights based on the Geneva Conventions and their additional protocols, confirming that the torture, medical neglect, starvation, and lack of medication that they endure is a full-fledged war crime.

The horrifying testimonies of the released prisoners, the confirmation that they were abused and beaten both days before and up until the final hour of their release, as well as the various forms of physical and psychological torture, medical neglect, starvation, deprivation of medication, and deprivation they endure in the occupation prisons, “constitute a full-fledged war crime and a brutal violation of international laws related to prisoners by the occupation government,” the Movement said in a letter to the Red Cross.

“The International Committee of the Red Cross must step up its efforts to monitor the conditions of Palestinian prisoners in light of the Hebrew media’s confirmation of the cruel treatment that the released inmates endure at the hands of the Zionist Prison Service and occupation soldiers.”

Hamas demanded that the international organization forward its reports to the appropriate international bodies and endeavor to guarantee that their rights are respected in compliance with international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and their supplementary protocols.

In addition, the Movement emphasized that the occupation’s continued crimes against Palestinians and their prisoners in jails “will only increase our determination to continue on the path of resistance until the occupation is removed from our land and our holy sites and the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.” These crimes demonstrate how the occupation deviates from human values and international law.

Earlier, the Red Cross condemned Israel’s treatment of recently released Palestinian prisoners, who reported severe beatings, death threats, and inhumane conditions before their freedom.

Red Cross expressed outrage over “the way the Israel Prison Service led the prisoners out of Ketziot on Saturday morning – handcuffed with their hands above their heads, wearing a bracelet inscribed with the phrase, ‘the eternal people never forget’.”

Director of Gaza Hospitals: 12,000 injured Palestinian in Gaza in urgent need of treatment abroad

Sunday 2-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Mu'hammed Zaqout, the Director General of Hospitals at the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, stated that more than 6,000 cases, including patients and injured victims of Israel’s recent aggression, are ready to travel outside Gaza for medical treatment.

In a special statement to the Qatari News Agency (QNA) on Sunday, he added that over 12,000 patients and injured individuals are in desperate need of treatment abroad due to the limited capabilities of Gaza’s hospitals and the collapse of the healthcare system as a result of ongoing Israeli targeting during the genocide against the Strip, which has lasted for over 15 months.

Zaqout’s remarks to QNA came just hours before 46 patients and injured individuals, along with their companions, left Gaza through the Rafa'h border crossing with Egypt, marking the second day of the crossing’s reopening following the implementation of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Zaqout explained that the small number of cases permitted to exit Gaza daily, starting from Saturday, will not allow for all urgent and emergency cases to be treated, expressing hope for an increase in numbers soon. He spoke of many critical and complicated medical cases that urgently need medical interventions not available in the hospitals of the Strip, noting that a technical committee has been reviewing these cases for months to follow up on their medical transfers.

The Director General of Hospitals indicated that 50 injured children and their companions crossed into Egypt from the Rafah border on Saturday, following the submission of a list of names to the relevant parties.

Zaqout mentioned that there was a phone communication with the patients and companions to arrange travel procedures, pointing out that the Palestinian Ministry of Health’s demands included transferring patients and injured individuals to other countries in addition to Egypt, but there has been no mechanism to organize this so far. Therefore, it was agreed that their treatment would take place in Egyptian hospitals, and he called for accommodating more individuals in other countries so that Palestinian patients and injured individuals can receive their right to medical treatment.

For the first time since the Rafa'h border crossing with Egypt was closed following its occupation by Israeli forces in early May, 2024 amid the war that erupted on October 7, 2023, a number of patients and injured children left for Egypt to receive treatment in its hospitals on Saturday.

According to the terms of the ceasefire in Gaza, which came into effect on January 19, 2025, 50 injured individuals and patients, along with their companions, will be allowed to exit Gaza daily through the Rafa'h crossing in the far south of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Israeli occupation forces blew up on Sunday numerous buildings owned by Palestinians in the Jineen refugee camp, according to WAFA correspondent.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces simultaneously blew up nearly 20 buildings on the eastern side of the camp after rigging them with explosives.

The blasts were so powerful that they were heard across the city of Jenin and parts of surrounding towns in the governorate.

Israeli forces continue their military onslaught south of Tubas, destroying infrastructure and detaining residents

Toubas, 2 February 2025 –

Israeli occupation forces continued on Sunday evening their military onslaught on the town of Tammoun and the Fari'a refugee camp south of Tubas for more than 15 consecutive hours, escalating their military operations throughout the areas.

Since the early moments of the incursion, Israeli bulldozers have been demolishing roads and infrastructure in Tammoun and Fari'a refugee camp, while also obstructing several secondary routes by placing dirt barriers.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces conducted widespread raids on homes in these areas, forcing several residents to leave their homes, which were then converted into military outposts.

In addition to these measures, Israeli bulldozers destroyed a critical water pipeline between 'Attoof and Tammoun areas, further exacerbating the already dire conditions.

Medical sources confirmed that Israeli occupation forces obstructed Palestinian Red Crescent teams from reaching a patient within Fair'a refugee Camp, effectively preventing the transfer of the individual to a hospital in Tubas.

Meanwhile, Kamel Bani Ouda, Director of the Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in Tubas, reported that Israeli forces detained nine Palestinians from Tammoun, Toubas and Fari'a Camp during the ongoing operation.

Israeli forces continued today to send military reinforcements to the area, with reconnaissance aircraft maintaining a presence in the sky at medium altitude.

Red Crescent rescues elderly man after seven days of siege on Toulkarm refugee camp

Toulkarm, February 2, 2025 –

Palestinian Red Crescent teams successfully saved on Sunday night an elderly man from the Toulkarm refugee camp after he endured seven days of isolation without food, water, or medical care, as Israeli forces continued their siege on the area.

The rescue operation, led by the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Toulkarm, Manal Al-'Hafi, brought relief to 70-year-old Abdul Kareem Al-'Oafi, who was trapped in his home during the Israeli military’s ongoing onslaught.

The elderly man was unable to receive assistance due to the blockade and the Israeli forces' restrictions on humanitarian access. By the time PRCS teams reached Al-'Oafi, his condition had significantly worsened, which necessitated his immediate transfer to the Martyr Thabit Thabit Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem, before being moved to one of his relative’s homes.

The continued siege on the Tulkarem refugee camp has led to a dire humanitarian crisis, with complete disruption of essential services such as water, electricity, communications and internet. In addition, hundreds of families have been displaced after being forcibly evicted from their homes by the Israeli forces.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.

Illegal Israeli settlers discharge sewage water onto Palestinian-owned agricultural lands east of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem)

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), February 2, 2025 –

A group of the illegal Israel settlers pumped on Sunday night sewage water onto Palestinian-owned agricultural lands in Kisan village southeast of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), according to a local official.

Ahmad Ghazal, the Secretary of the Fatah movement in Kisan, told WAFA that extremist colonists from a nearby illegal colonial outpost intentionally pumped sewage onto farmlands in the al-Tina area southeast of the said village.

Ghazal emphasized that this harmful act has become a frequent tactic by colonists, causing significant health hazards. It also prevents the landowners from cultivating crops such as wheat and barley and negatively affects livestock farming, he added.

Furthermore, the sewage discharge has resulted in the killing of three sheep.

Since the outbreak of Israeli aggression on October 7th, 2023, violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased. This indiscriminate violence has sparked widespread international condemnation. In response, several nations have imposed sanctions on Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of aggression in the West Bank.

Villagers said that it was hard for civil defense crews and fire trucks to reach their village to extinguish the flames.

The 'Arab Al-Mulai'hat villagers face frequent attacks by Jewish settlers, who attack them and their property and steal and kill their livestock.

The villagers live in a daily existential struggle against government-backed settlers, who work on forcing Palestinian residents to leave their villages and towns in the West Bank, especially in the Jordan Valley, Masafir Yatta and Nablus.

Israeli occupation forces raid, close headquarters of Palestine Red Crescent Society in Toulkarm

Toulkarm, February 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces raided and closed on Sunday evening the headquarters of the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) near Thabit Thabit Government Hospital in central Toulkarm, in the northern occupied West Bank, according to PRCS sources.

Sources within PRCS reported that Israeli soldiers detained staff members inside the premises, barred field teams from accessing the site and locked the doors, effectively halting their ability to perform their essential humanitarian duties.

Earlier, Israeli forces attacked the Red Crescent's Disaster Risk Management team while they were attempting to evacuate two elderly women, one of whom has limited mobility, from Tulkarem refugee camp. Despite the evacuation being pre-coordinated as part of a humanitarian mission, the forces obstructed their efforts.

Additionally, two staff members were detained while carrying out their duties in Al-Muqata'a neighborhood of the refugee camp.

The Israeli occupation forces continued today to impose a siege on Thabit Thabit Government Hospital and Al-Israa Specialist Hospital, obstructing the movement of ambulances and medical personnel and subjecting them to extensive field inspections and interrogations, thereby disrupting vital medical services.

Arab League Secretary-General: Forced displacement of Palestinians poses an existential threat to Palestinian cause

CAIRO, February 2, 2025 (WAFA) –

A'hmed Abul Ghait, Secretary-General of the Arab League, asserted that the forced displacement of Palestinians poses an existential threat to the Palestinian cause.

He pointed out that Israel’s objective is to render the Gaza Strip uninhabitable, thereby setting the stage for a scenario that is not only unacceptable but also in direct violation of international law.

This came during a meeting held on Sunday with Sigrid Kaag, the United Nations Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, at the Arab League headquarters.

During the meeting, Abul Ghait emphasized that the rational and humanitarian alternative lies in amplifying and expediting relief efforts, while simultaneously preparing for the reconstruction of Gaza.

Abul Ghait reiterated that the two-state solution remains the sole path to achieving long-term peace and security for Palestinians and Israelis.

He stressed that without concrete efforts to establish a Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, the region would remain perpetually at risk of spiraling into further cycles of violence.

The discussions also centered on the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, underscoring the necessity of solidifying the ceasefire agreement, while urgently accelerating the relief efforts to address the unprecedented scale of destruction in the Strip.

UN Expert: Over 90% of schools in Gaza destroyed, education system in ruins

NEW YORK, February 3, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Education, Farida Shaheed, has reported that more than 90% of schools in Gaza have been completely or partially destroyed, rendering them inoperable. She stated that schools were repeatedly attacked even after being turned into shelters for civilians.

In a statement on Monday, Shaheed emphasized that the recovery of Gaza’s education system primarily depends on ending the war and the Israeli occupation.

She used the term "scholasticide" to describe the deliberate and total destruction of the education system in Gaza during the Israeli war. This term, she explained, refers to the systematic obliteration of education infrastructure and institutions.

While the second semester of the school year began in Palestinian territories on Sunday, education in Gaza remains completely halted since Israel launched its war on October 7, 2023.

Israel's genocide has destroyed the majority of schools in Gaza, including both government-run institutions and those operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The remaining schools have been turned into shelters for thousands of displaced families, making the resumption of education nearly impossible.

Shaheed also pointed out to the destruction of all universities in Gaza, the bombing of 13 libraries, and the complete annihilation of the central archive containing 150 years of Gaza’s historical records.

"Education is not just about acquiring skills; it is also about developing self-understanding, collective identity, social unity, and moving forward together," she said. "This is what is being deliberately destroyed in Gaza. Teachers and students have endured immense trauma during Israel’s assault."

To address the crisis, Shaheed called for large-scale scholarship programs for Palestinian students and emphasized the need to harness the knowledge and expertise of highly educated Palestinians in the diaspora.

"The Palestinian people have shown remarkable resilience," she added. "Even if it takes a generation or two, they will recover—but only if they are allowed to live in peace and rebuild their lives on their own terms."

She further revealed that 10 children in Gaza lost limbs every day during the war, with amputations often performed without anesthesia. "More than a million children and all educators will require urgent psychological and social counseling," she concluded.

UN Rapporteur: The situation in Gaza has reached unprecedented proportions not seen in modern history

New York, 2 February 2025 –

Reem Al-Salim, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls, remarked that the situation in the Gaza Strip has reached unprecedented proportions not seen in modern history.

In a press statement on Sunday, Al-Salim stressed that Israel’s attacks on Palestinian women form part of a systematic strategy of genocide, asserting that the killing of Palestinian women simply because of their gender constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity.

The UN expert further underscored that the deliberate targeting of women and the destruction of reproductive health services are being weaponized as tools of Israeli genocide in Gaza.

She stressed that a comprehensive review of Israel's actions reveals that the deliberate targeting of Palestinians' reproductive capacity is a key aspect of this strategy.

Al-Salim referred to the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which also prohibits acts of genocide aimed at preventing reproduction within a particular group.

She elaborated that when considered together, the destruction of the healthcare system, the abandonment of newborns to their fate and the creation of intolerable conditions for pregnant and breastfeeding women all serve as instruments of Israeli genocidal violence, aimed at the total or partial destruction of the Palestinian population.

Al-Salim also addressed the catastrophic effects of the ongoing attacks on women and children, citing data from the United Nations Population Fund.

She noted that approximately 800,000 women have been forcibly displaced from their homes, and nearly one million women and girls are suffering from severe food insecurity.

The UN official further highlighted that the rate of abortion has surged by 300% due to the lack of adequate medical care, the psychological trauma and the ongoing bombings.

This goes beyond genocide, she said, adding that it involves premeditated killing and the complete erosion of legal norms of armed conflict.

UN Special Rapporteur: Israel's actions in the West Bank are criminal

NEW YORK, February 2, 2025 (WAFA) -

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories slammed Israel's actions in the West Bank as “criminal.”

“The genocidal intent is evident in the way Israel targets the totality of the Palestinians,” she said in a post on X.

She pointed out that she had warned the UNGA about this in her last report in October 2024.

She added that the genocidal intent is evident in the way Israel targets the totality of the Palestinian people and the entirety of the occupied Palestinian territory, which Israel claims is exclusively designated for Jewish self-determination.

The UN official called on the international community to intervene and halt the ongoing destruction, which she stated has expanded to encompass all occupied territories, not just Gaza.

“It's past the time to intervene to stop it.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
