While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Gaza death toll from Israel's deadly aggression surpasses 48,284

GAZA, February 17, 2025 (Anadolu and Wafa) –

The death toll in Gaza has risen to 48,284, the majority being women and children, since the Israeli genocidal war began in October 2023, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Over the past 24 hours, hospitals in Gaza have received the bodies or remains of nine victims after being pulled out from the rubble, the Ministry confirmed.

In addition, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, 16 injured people were also admitted to hospitals, which increased the number of injuries to 111,709. Meantime, many victims remain trapped under the rubble, with emergency and civil defense teams unable to reach them, for the lack of the needed heavy equipment, as a result of preventing their entry by the Israeli occupation regime forces.

A ceasefire in Gaza took effect on January 19, but casualties have continued to be reported across various parts of the region since its implementation.

Gaza: Two succumb to wounds from Israeli shelling

GAZA, February 17, 2025 (WAFA) –

Two Palestinians died on Monday from their wounds they sustained two days ago in the governorates of Rafa'h and Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent said that the two slain people were injured by the Israeli bullets and shelling in Rafa'h and Khan Younus.

Yesterday evening, local resident Hani 'Awadh Abu 'Halawa (Al-Sha'ir) died from wounds he sustained last Wednesday as a result of the occupation forces' shelling east of Rafa'h city.

The Israeli occupation forces gunboats fired their machine guns towards the beach of Khan Younus city, south of the Strip, and towards the beach of Rafa'h, while the Israeli occupation forces vehicles fired flares into the sky of Al-'Izba area west of Rafa'h.

The Israeli vehicles stationed east of Bait 'Hanoun town, north of the Gaza Strip, also fired their machine guns towards the citizens' lands in the town.

By February 16, and since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has launched a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 48,271 citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 111,693 others, in an incomplete toll, as a number of victims are still under the rubble, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.

'Hamas: Netanyahu violates ceasefire obligations, leaning on US plan over Gaza

Monday 17-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, has accused the Israeli occupation government of insisting on violating the ceasefire agreement by not allowing the entry of vital needs to the Gaza Strip and leaning on the new position of the US administration and its plan to displace Gazans.

In a statement on Sunday, 'Hamas spokesman 'Hazim Qasim said that Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu violated the ceasefire agreement by his refusal to allow the entry of mobile homes and heavy machinery for the removal of rubble.

Spokesman Qasim said that Netanyahu’s decision to backtrack on his obligations under the ceasefire agreement is based on US president Donald Trump’s stated position over Gaza and his plan to relocate its people.

Qasim criticized the US administration’s current position on Gaza, saying that the three phases of the ceasefire agreement were formulated under the sponsorship of the administration of former president Joe Biden.

“It is unreasonable to talk about changing or modifying it as long as things are proceeding according to the agreement,” Qasim stressed.

“Trump’s keenness on having Israeli captives released from the Gaza Strip must be translated into pressuring the occupation and obligating it to honor the agreement instead of making threats and seeking to change it,” the spokesman said.

At the end of his meeting with US secretary of state Marco Rubio on Sunday, Netanyahu parroted recent words made by Trump, who said last week that “the gates of hell would open” if Hamas does not release dozens of remaining captives in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu also did not approve the entry of mobile homes and heavy equipment into the Gaza Strip during Saturday night’s security consultations, in a breach of the ceasefire deal with the Hamas Movement.

Dr. Abu Salmiya: Gaza’s hospitals lost 40 percent of kidney patients

Monday 17-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Dr. Mohamed Abu Salmiya, director of the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, has said that Gaza’s hospitals have lost about 40 percent of their kidney patients due to the shortage of medical supplies.

“There are only three intensive care beds for [kidney] patients in the northern Gaza Strip, in addition to only 20 dialysis machines, despite the return of hundreds of thousands of displaced people from the southern governorates to the north of the Strip since the ceasefire started,” Dr. Abu Salmiya added in a statement on Sunday.

“Many patients in intensive care and premature babies are dying due to the shortage of oxygen cylinders,” Dr. Abu Salmiya pointed out.

He warned of the Israeli persistence in disrupting the humanitarian protocol of the ceasefire agreement, stressing the need to provide Gaza’s hospitals with its needs.

Gaza’s hospitals suffer from a severe shortage of oxygen after the Israeli occupation army destroyed 10 central oxygen stations during its genocidal war.

Rafa'h Municipality: Diesel and equipment shortages threaten delivery of basic services

Monday 17-February-2025

RAFAH, (PIC)

The Rafa'h Municipality in the southern Gaza Strip said on Sunday evening that it is managing a city in distress under extremely difficult conditions, where shortages of diesel and equipment threaten the collapse of basic services.

The Rafa'h Municipality explained in a statement that the fuel scarcity disrupts the operation of vital facilities such as water wells and sewage treatment stations, in addition to halting the necessary equipment for debris removal, further complicating the situation and threatening a real humanitarian disaster.

The municipality noted that it has been able to provide 70,000 liters of diesel, a quantity that is only sufficient for 15 days at a rate of 5,000 liters per day. It highlighted that the crisis has led to the shutdown of many wells that supply the municipality with fuel, threatening to deprive thousands of families of drinking water. The municipality confirmed that its teams are now unable to continue debris removal and road opening due to the fuel shortage, exacerbating the suffering of residents in these dire circumstances.

Under these conditions, the Rafa'h Municipality faces significant challenges in providing basic services to the population, as crews work to operate the bare minimum of services despite limited resources. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces continue to prevent the entry of heavy equipment, hindering efforts to remove debris and open streets, delaying the restoration of movement in residential neighborhoods and commercial areas.

A ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance and Israel came into effect on January 19, 2025 after 471 days of genocidal war that resulted in more than 47,000 martyrs, thousands of missing and injured individuals, an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, and widespread destruction of residential buildings, public facilities, and infrastructure.

'Hamas: Israeli Ofer prison break-in criminal act

Sunday 16-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, said that “the Israeli break-in into Palestinian prisoners’ cells in Ofer prison and assaulting them is a criminal act that reflects the Israeli terrorist nature.”

“Such attacks came as part of Israel’s brutality against our prisoners and a miserable attempt to restore its shattered prestige,” the Movement said.

'Hamas called for “exposing these Israeli inhuman crimes against Palestinian prisoners.”

Earlier, the Prisoners Media Office reported that special Israeli prison units raided a section of Ofer Prison, west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, and assaulted detainees.

“Prisoners were beaten and sprayed with gas,” the Prisoners Media Office said in a statement.

According to Palestinian human rights organizations, Israel is holding more than 10,000 Palestinians in its prisons.

The Palestinian Commission for Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society also held the Israeli Prison Service accountable “for the lives and fate of thousands of prisoners in Ofer Prison”.

AU leaders call for an end to normalization with Israel

Sunday 16-February-2025

ADDIS ABABA, (PIC)

African Union (AU) leaders have issued a strong condemnation of Israeli aggression in Gaza, urging member states to halt cooperation and normalization with Israel.

This came during the 38th African Union Summit which was held for two days in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians and must be prosecuted internationally, the summit’s final statement read.

“We call for an end to cooperation and normalization with Israel until it ends its occupation and aggression against Palestine.”

The final statement of the Arab League leaders also emphasized the need to prosecute the Israeli war criminals for committing crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

The African Union’s position aligns with increasing global scrutiny of Israel’s actions, as international bodies, including the International Court of Justice (ICJ), consider cases related to genocide and war crimes.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
