While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Israeli occupation regime soldiers publish photos of elderly Palestinian man being abused during detention

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), September 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation soldiers have released photos showing their abuse and humiliation of an elderly Palestinian man during his detention from the town of Bait Ka'heel, northwest of Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

The images, shared by one of the soldiers involved in the arrest of 60-year-old Ma'hmoud 'Asafra from Bait Ka'heel early last month, depict him seated among a group of soldiers with his hands bound and eyes covered. The photos show the soldiers mocking and degrading him, making obscene gestures with their hands.

Ma'hmoud 'Asafra's son, Mu'hammed, told our correspondent that his father, who served as the imam of a mosque in the town, has been detained twice since October 2023. During his first detention, he was subjected to severe physical abuse before being released. In August of this year, the Israeli forces re-arrested him after raiding and thoroughly vandalizing their home.

Mu'hammed 'Asafra added that, despite the profound distress and pain these images have caused for over 30 family members, they reflect the brutal reality of the occupation, showcasing the sadism, cruelty, and barbarism of its soldiers.

To blow up a mosque, the Israeli occupation soldiers force Palestinians out of their homes in JIneen refugee camp

Thursday 5-September-2024

Jineen, (PIC)

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) forced six families to leave their houses in Al-Damaj and Jorat Al-Dthahab neighborhoods, directing them to travel to villages west of Jineen using ambulance vehicles.

Amnesty calls for investigating the Israeli war crime of wanton destruction in Gaza

Thursday 5-September-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Amnesty International has urged a war crimes probe into Israel razing homes and farms in eastern Gaza to expand a buffer zone between it and the war-battered territory.

“Using bulldozers and manually laid explosives, the Israeli military has unlawfully destroyed agricultural land and civilian buildings, razing entire neighborhoods, including homes, schools and mosques,” Amnesty said in a report on Thursday.

The London-based rights group said the leveling since the start of the war on October 7 “should be investigated as war crimes of wanton destruction and of collective punishment.”

An Amnesty investigation, which examined satellite imagery and videos posted by Israeli soldiers between October and May, showed “newly cleared land along Gaza’s eastern boundary, ranging from approximately 1 to 1.8 km wide,” the group said.

The expanded buffer zone covers around 58 square kilometers, or about 16 percent of the Gaza Strip, it said.

More than 90 percent of buildings within that zone appeared to have been destroyed or severely damaged, it said.

More than half of the agricultural land in the area showed “a decline in health and density of crops due to the ongoing conflict,” it added.

“Our analysis reveals a pattern along the eastern perimeter of Gaza that is consistent with the systematic destruction of the entire area,” Erika Guevara-Rosas, Amnesty’s senior director for research, advocacy, policy and campaigns, said.

“The homes were not destroyed as the result of intense fighting. Rather, the Israeli military deliberately razed the land after they had taken control of the area,” she added.

“Israel’s measures to protect Israelis from attacks from Gaza must be carried out in conformity with its obligations under international law, including the prohibition of wanton destruction and of collective punishment,” she underlined.

Commission of Detainees urges WHO to visit the Israeli occupation regime prisons

Thursday 5-September-2024

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs has accused the Israeli prison service (IPS) of deliberately creating a fertile environment for the spread of skin diseases among the Palestinian prisoners in its jails, calling on the World Health Organization (WHO) to shoulder its responsibilities in this regard.

The Commission’s lawyer, who recently visited Megiddo prison, said that the health conditions of the prisoners are “difficult and disturbing,” especially their suffering from skin diseases that keep spreading and worsening every day.

“The reason for the spread of such diseases is the prison administration’s refusal to provide the prisoners with medicines and treatments. They are also deprived of getting cleaning supplies and disinfectants and given a few minutes to shower using only water,” the lawyer explained.

The Commission called on WHO to act immediately to visit all the Israeli prisons and detention centers, especially Megiddo, and work on providing medication for the sick detainees in general and those suffering from contagious skin diseases in particular.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the State of Palestine, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap four Palestinians from the West Bank

TOUBAS, Thursday, September 05, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Thursday evening detained four Palestinians from the occupied West Bank governorates of Toubas and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), according to the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and local sources.

Kamal Bani 'Oada, Director of PPS Office in Toubas, said that Israeli soldiers rounded up a youth from the city of Toubas at the King Husain Bridge/Al-Karama border crossing as the latter was traveling to Jordan.

Meanwhile in Jerusalem, the occupation forces brutally assaulted and detained two youths in the Shu'fat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.

They also showed up at Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) neighborhood of Silwan and rounded up a minor.

In the predawn hours of today, the occupation forces detained at least 16 Palestinians, including a journalist, a girl and former detainees, from various parts of the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,900 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 250 child prisoners and 86 female prisoners.

This number includes approximately 3,423 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

The mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.

The colonists searched the homes, destroyed their contents, and stole money. They also vandalized a tablet belonging to Noor Na'eem Al-'Azzam, a child with special needs who struggles with learning.

The raids have left the affected families in distress, facing both financial losses and emotional trauma.

Israeli occupation forces demolish home in Toulkarm refugee camp, conduct widespread raids

TOULKARM, September 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces destroyed a home today in the Al-Madaris neighborhood of Toulkarm refugee camp, located north of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Sources within the camp reported to WAFA that the Israeli forces blew up a house belonging to the Al-Doush family, after planting explosives inside it. The explosion caused a large plume of smoke and damaged nearby homes. Some residents experienced difficulty breathing due to the smoke.

Teams of the Palestinian Red Crescent managed to enter the camp and evacuate individuals suffering from smoke inhalation and other medical conditions in the aftermath of the explosion, transporting them to the hospital.

Additionally, Israeli forces deployed more vehicles to the camp, surrounding it from all entrances, particularly along Nablus Street. According to our correspondent, the forces concentrated their attacks in the northeastern part of the camp, specifically in the Al-Madaris and Al-'Okasha neighborhoods. They raided and searched several homes, interrogated residents, and physically assaulted some young men.

Israeli military bulldozers have also resumed demolishing and destroying what they had previously destroyed in the past three days of incursions into the camp and the neighboring city of Toulkarm.

Earlier today, Israeli forces re-stormed Toulkarm city and its refugee camp just hours after withdrawing. They entered from the western entrance, patrolling the city streets and forcing shop owners to close their businesses.

The forces pursued civilian vehicles in the city's streets, firing tear gas and live ammunition at residents.

Meantime, a tight cordon was imposed by the occupation authorities around the Shuhada Thabit Thabit Governmental Hospital in the city, with ambulances and their crews subjected to inspection and interrogation.

IOFs destroy residential shed in Al-Khalil, settlers attack Al-Mulai'hāt lands

Thursday 5-September-2024

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) razed a residential shed and a water well in Al-Khaeel (Hebron) on Thursday, while Jewish settlers attacked agricultural land in Aree'ha (Jericho).

In the village of Qalqas, south of Al-Khaeel (Hebron), the IOFs demolished a residential shed and a water well that had been built on the ruins of a house demolished by the IOF a month ago.

Local sources reported that the brother of the homeowner, Mu'hammad Mustafa Al-Sadr, stated that the occupation forces destroyed the dwelling, which was a tin and brick shed measuring 150 square meters, noting that the IOFs prevented the family from emptying its contents before the demolition.

Sadr pointed out that the dwelling was built on the ruins of his family’s three-story house in the Qalqas area south of al-Khalil, in addition to the destruction of the water well. He mentioned that the house destroyed by the IOFs a month ago had each floor measuring 200 square meters and housed more than 30 individuals, and that the shed that was demolished today had been inhabited by the family for about two weeks.

On another front, a group of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked agricultural land by deliberately letting their sheep graze on hay bales belonging to citizen Abdul Lateef Ka’abna in the Al-Mulai'hāt gathering, northwest of Aree'ha (Jericho).

'Hasan Mulai'hat, the general supervisor of the “Baydar” organization for defending the rights of Bedouins, reported that about three settlers intentionally released their sheep to feed on the hay bales belonging to Ka’abna.

Bedouin communities face daily assaults from settlers and occupation forces, in an attempt to displace citizens and force them to leave in favor of settlements.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, settlers carried out 204 attacks in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, during August, resulting in the martyrdom of two citizens in Jit, east of Qalqilya, and Wadi Ra'hal in Bethlehem. Since the outbreak of the genocidal war in Gaza on October 7, 2023, attacks by armed settlers against Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank have escalated, amid intensified military campaigns by the IOF in Palestinian cities and refugee camps.

A legacy of sacrifice: The Zubeidi family's enduring struggle

By Yamen Nubani

JENIN, September 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

In a video dating back over 20 years, Zakaria Zubeidi—now imprisoned by Israel—is seen holding his eldest son, Mohammed, by the hand, teaching him to walk.

Today, 21 years later, Mohammed has taken his final steps as a martyr, joining a family legacy that has already sacrificed eight martyrs from a total of fewer than 40 family members.

Mohammed Zubeidi's life was cut short at the age of 21 after an Israeli airstrike targeted five young men in Tubas early this morning. His father, Zakaria Zubeidi, had hoped that the occupation would allow him to grow up and become a doctor or lawyer, wishing for him to have a life better than his own, which was marred by "hopelessness."

Following the martyrdom of his brother Dawood on May 15, 2022, Zakaria Zubeidi said, "I never had the chance to bid farewell to those I lost or bury them. When my father was martyred, I was in Jenin prison and heard the news over the mosque’s loudspeaker."

Back then, he added, "My mother was martyred in the Jenin Camp Battle and buried by the Red Cross; we couldn't reach her due to the intensity of the battle. She always said, 'May my day come before yours.' My brother Taha was buried while I was under the rubble of the camp and destroyed houses. Today, Dawood has joined them, and I was unable to say goodbye or perform the mourning rituals. I don't know what it's like; I've never experienced it personally."

The Zubeidi family, consisting of only 40 members in the Jenin refugee camp, has not buried a single natural death since 1993, the year Mohammed Zubeidi (Zakaria and Dawood's father) passed away. Instead, they have buried eight martyrs, including Mohammed, who fell this morning, preceded by his cousin Naeem Jamal on December 1, 2022.

The home of brothers Mohammed and Jamal Zubeidi, refugees from "Wadi al-Hawarith - Caesarea," has sacrificed more than 90 years of their members' lives in Israeli prisons. According to Jamal Zubeidi, known as Abu Anton, in a previous interview with WAFA, the family's arrests began in the mid-1950s when Mohamed Jahjah, Zakaria’s grandfather, was detained for about four years.

He later freed himself during a prison rebellion at Shata Prison on July 30, 1958, along with 68 other prisoners, 11 of whom were martyred and 13 injured. After his release, he moved in 1963 to lead armed struggle in the "Hassan" camp in Irbid before moving with the fighters to Syria and then Germany in the early 1970s.

He added: "Mohamed Zubeidi, Zakaria's father, was arrested in 1969 for one year and later during the First Intifada for eight months under administrative detention. I, along with my brother Ibrahim, was arrested in 1979 for a year and a half, and we were released at the end of 1980."

"Following our release, my brother Ibrahim was exiled to Jordan for five years, but the occupation did not allow him to return home after his exile ended, and he passed away there in 2012. I was arrested six times, mostly under administrative detention, with the last arrests occurring in 2011 and 2014, totaling four years," Jamal added.

Zakaria was arrested twice during the First Intifada, sentenced to six months initially and then to five years, before being released after the Oslo Accords. He was recently arrested again in February 2019, bringing his total time in Israeli prisons to eight years. His brother "Abd" was sentenced to six months during the First Intifada and later to six years.

Jamal continued: "All of my brother Mohammed's children were arrested, many of them repeatedly. 'Jibril' spent over 13 years in prison—12 years initially, then ten months, and six months in a third period. 'Yahya' spent 17 years in prison, and the martyr 'Taha' spent two years during four periods of administrative detention in the First Intifada. The martyr 'Dawood' spent 16 years in Israeli prisons. My children 'Mohamed' spent 3 years and 9 months, 'Yusuf' spent 3 years and a half, and 'Naeem' spent 5 years in Israeli prisons."

Jamal, also known by his kunya, Abu Anton, repeatedly rejects the significant attention surrounding his family, considering their actions to be their natural duty. He points out that there are other families in the camp who have made sacrifices just as great as his own.

Abu Anton added: "The martyrs of my family and relatives include: my brother Mohamed’s wife, Samira Zubeidi (March 4, 2002), and the martyr Taha Zubeidi, son of Samira, who was martyred during the April 2002 battle. My niece's son, Ziad Amer (April 3, 2002), a leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and Fatah’s military wing in Jenin camp, had his house blown up in 1988 and was arrested at that time, later released in 1994 after being sentenced to life."

He continued, "Another niece's son, Nidal Abu Shadouf (from Barqin, whose body has been held by the occupation since July 2001), and Dawood Zubeidi (May 15, 2022). Added to them are: Naeem Jamal Zubeidi (December 1, 2022) and Mohamed Zakaria Zubeidi (September 5, 2024)."

"With my own hands, I transported most of the martyrs' bodies from the camp in April 2002. The most painful scene was when I came across Taha's body, not recognizing him as it was burned from the bombing, with only his forehead visible, covered by a piece of resistance cloth," Abu Anton remarked.

Abu Anton went on, "The family’s struggle against the Israeli occupation: Our father died in 1980 while I and my brother Ibrahim were in prison, and our third brother Mohamed 'Abu al-Abed' was in Jordan. Thus, our father was buried without any of us being able to attend his funeral or say goodbye.

"The occupation did not stop at targeting the family but also prevented us from bidding farewell to our relatives. In 1985, my brother Mohamed 'Abu al-Abed,' who was arrested twice during the First Intifada, fell ill. The occupation refused to allow him into hospitals within Israel, and he died on May 26, 1993. When he died, 'Abd' and Zakaria were in prison and could not attend his funeral. My brother Abu al-Abed's house was first demolished in June 1988, during the explosion of my niece Ziad Amer's house, which damaged 35 homes due to the blast," he explained to WAFA.

He continued, "On one of the days of the camp battle, we were 14 people taking shelter in a small bathroom, and three missiles fell on our house, destroying it. But we survived, moving to a neighbor's house, which was then bombed. We survived once more. It was our fate to survive despite the intensity of the bombing."
