In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter promise (of punishment) comes, (our worshippers) will sadden your faces, and will enter the Masjid, as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they will take over, with (total) destruction" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

At least 35 people were killed in Israeli attacks across Lebanon on Sunday (November 17, 2024), bringing the death toll since last year to 3,516, the Lebanese health ministry said in a brief statement on Monday. The ministry also said that 143 others were injured on Sunday, bringing the total number of the wounded to 14,929 since October 2023. Lebanon has been facing relentless Israeli attacks for more than a year, but this aggression has grown more intense and deadly since the end of last September, resulting in thousands of casualties and the displacement of more than a million people. *** For the 57th day, Israel continues its war in Lebanon Monday 18-November-2024 BEIRUT, (PIC) The Israeli occupation regime army has continued its bloody war on Lebanon for the 57th consecutive day on Monday, launching dozens of raids and artillery shelling on various areas of the country alongside a ground incursion into a number of southern villages amid fierce resistance from 'Hizbullah. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of one person and the injury of nine others, on Sunday evening, in an Israeli airstrike targeting an electronics shop on Mar Elias Street in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in the second attack targeting the capital on Sunday, following a strike on the Ras al-Nabaa area. The Ministry of Health announced that “the Israeli enemy’s raids on the villages of Soor (Tyre) District today resulted in a total death toll of 11 people and the injury of 48 others.” On Sunday, the Israeli warplanes launched several raids on various Lebanese villages and towns in southern Lebanon. By November 16, 2024, this brings the death toll since the start of the Israeli war on Lebanon to 3,481 martyrs, and 14,786 wounded, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health For its part, the Lebanese army announced on Sunday, “the martyrdom of two of its members and the injury of two others in an Israeli strike that targeted an army office in the town of Al-Mari in the district of Hasbaya in southern Lebanon.” The Lebanese Prime Minister Najeeb Miqati said that “the number of martyrs among the ranks of his country’s army has risen to 36 since the start of the Israeli aggression in October 2023.” *** 'Israel' killed over 200 children in Lebanon: UNICEF By Al-Mayadeen English November 19, 2024 UNICEF spokesperson James Elder has highlighted the gravity of the crisis, denouncing dismissive attitudes toward the situation. Hassan Mikdad holds his son Hussein Mikdad, who was injured on Oct. 2 in an Israeli airstrike at a densely-populated neighborhood south of Beirut, as he cries during a check-up by a doctor, on November 5, 2024. (AP) UNICEF has reported that "Israel" killed over 200 children in Lebanon amid its ongoing aggression over the past two months. The organization highlighted the alarming trend of an average of three child fatalities per day during this period. Despite the severity of the situation, there is growing concern over the apparent indifference from those with the power to intervene and halt the ongoing Israeli aggression, as per the child advocacy group. Commenting on this issue, UNICEF spokesperson James Elder expressed frustration following the killing of four children in Lebanon by "Israel", stating, “‘It’s complicated.....I’m so sick of hearing this word… There is nothing complicated about a child going to bed and expecting to wake up the next day.” If not killed, scarred for life: 'Israel' targets Lebanon's children Curled up in his father’s lap, gripping his chest, 4-year-old Hussein Mikdad sobbed uncontrollably. He kicked the doctor with his uninjured foot and pushed him away with his arm that wasn’t in a cast. "My Dad! My Dad!" Hussein cried. "Make him leave me alone!" His father, with eyes filled with both relief and pain, reassured him and held him tighter. Hussein and his father, Hassan, are the sole survivors of their family following an Israeli airstrike on their Beirut neighborhood last month. The brutal Israeli attack on a residential neighborhood killed at least 18 people, including Hussein's mother, three siblings, and six other relatives. Israeli airstrikes have mainly targeted residential areas across Lebanon, killing and wounding thousands. "Can he now shower?" the father asked the doctor. Ten days after surgery, doctors assessed Hussein’s injuries and confirmed that he was healing well. He has metal rods in his broken right thigh and stitches that have reattached the torn tendons in his right arm. The pain has eased, and Hussein is expected to walk again in two months, though with a permanent limp. Hussein's struggle with invisible wounds after the attack A prognosis for Hussein's emotional trauma is far more difficult to determine. He has reverted to wearing diapers and has started wetting the bed. He barely speaks and has not mentioned his mother, two sisters, or brother. “The trauma is not limited to just the physical injuries. He is also suffering mentally,” said Imad Nahle, one of Hussein’s orthopedic surgeons. Children are the main Israeli target As airstrikes continue to hit homes and residential areas, doctors are seeing an increasing number of children affected by the brutal Israeli aggression. Over the past six weeks, more than 100 children have been killed in Lebanon, and hundreds more injured. Of the 14,000 people wounded since last year, about 10% are children. Many have suffered severed limbs, burns, and lost families—trauma that may last a lifetime. Ghassan Abu Sittah, a prominent British-Palestinian surgeon who is also treating Hussein, sees a difficult future ahead. His concern is clear, "It leaves us with a generation of physically wounded children, children who are psychologically and emotionally wounded." 'What do they want from us?' At the American University of Beirut Medical Center, which is handling a limited number of war casualties, Nahle reported that he has performed surgery on five children in the past five weeks—compared to none before. Most of the cases have been referred from southern and eastern Lebanon. A few miles away, at the Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui, one of the country’s largest burn centers, its medical director Naji Abirached stated that the facility has expanded its capacity by nearly 180% since September to accommodate more war casualties. Around 20% of the newly admitted patients are children. In one of the burn center’s ICU units is Ivana Skakye, who celebrated her second birthday in the hospital last week. Ivana is recovering from burns she sustained in an Israeli airstrike near their home in southern Lebanon on September 23. Six weeks later, little Ivana is still covered in white gauze from head to toe, with the exception of her torso. She suffered third-degree burns over 40% of her body, including her hair, head, left side, arms, and chest. The ceiling of her family’s home was set on fire, and the valuables they had packed in their car while preparing to flee were also destroyed. Ivana's older sister, 7-year-old Rahaf, has recovered more quickly from burns on her face and hands. Their mother, Fatima Zayoun, was in the kitchen when the explosion occurred. She rushed to grab her daughters, who were playing on the terrace. Zayoun described the moment as feeling "as if something lifted me up so I could grab my kids." She recalled, "I have no idea how I managed to pull them in and throw them out of the window." Speaking from the ICU burns unit, she continued, "They were not on fire, but they were burned. Black ash covered them... (Ivana) was without any hair. I told myself, ‘That is not her.’” Ivana's wound dressings are now changed every two days. Her doctor, Ziad Sleiman, mentioned that she could be discharged in a few days. She has started saying "Mama" and "Bye" again, a sign that she wants to go outside. However, like Hussein, Ivana has no home to go back to. Her parents are worried that staying in collective shelters could cause her infection to return. After seeing her children "sizzling on the floor," Zayoun, 35, said that even when their home is repaired, she wouldn't want to return. "I saw death with my own eyes," she said. Zayoun was 17 during the 2006 July War and asserted that this war is different, saying, "But this war is hard. They are hitting everywhere," she said. "What do they want from us? Do they want to hurt our children? We are not what they are looking for." How Israeli attacks on homes destroy children's sense of safety Israeli attacks on homes can be especially difficult for children to cope with. Abu Sittah, the reconstructive surgeon, explained that most children's injuries result from blasts or falling rubble. Such an attack on a place they expect to be safe can have long-lasting consequences. "Children feel safe at home," he said. "The injury makes them lose that sense of security for the first time—that their parents are keeping them safe, that their homes are invincible, and suddenly their homes become not so." A generational trauma Maria Elizabeth Haddad, manager of psychosocial support programs in Beirut and surrounding areas for the US-based International Medical Corps, stated that parents in shelters have reported increased anxiety, hostility, and aggression in their children. The kids are defying their parents and disregarding rules; some have developed speech difficulties and clinginess. One child is even showing early signs of psychosis, according to the expert. “There are going to be residual symptoms when they grow up, especially related to attachment ties, to feeling of security,” Haddad said. “It is a generational trauma. We have experienced it before with our parents. ... They don’t have stability or search for (extra) stability. This is not going to be easy to overcome.” Children make up more than a third of the over 1 million people displaced by the war in Lebanon. As a result, hundreds of thousands of children in Lebanon are unable to attend school, either because their schools are unreachable or have been converted into shelters. Hussein's father believes that he and his son must rebuild their lives from scratch. With help from relatives, the two have found temporary shelter in a home, offering the father a brief moment of relief. "I thank God he is not asking for or about his mother and his siblings," said Hassan Mikdad, 40. He cannot explain what his son experienced, having witnessed the death of their family in their own home. His two sisters, Celine, 10, and Cila, 14, were recovered from the rubble the next day. His mother, Mona, was found three days later, holding her 6-year-old son, Ali, in a final embrace. The October 21 strike also damaged one of Beirut’s main public hospitals, breaking solar panels and windows in the pharmacy and dialysis unit. Hassan survived because he had stepped out for coffee. He watched his building collapse in the late-night airstrike. In addition, he lost his shop, motorcycles, and car — everything representing 16 years of family life. His friend, Hussein Hammoud, rushed to the scene to help sift through the debris. Hammoud noticed Hussein Mikdad’s fingers in the darkness behind their home. At first, he thought they were severed limbs until he heard the boy’s screams. He then dug him out, finding glass embedded in his leg and a metal bar in his shoulder. Hammoud said he didn’t recognize the boy at first but held Hussein’s nearly severed wrist in place. Now in the hospital, Hussein Mikdad sipped on juice while listening to his father and friend. His father turned to him and asked if he wanted a toy — trying to prevent another outburst of tears. He added that he buys Hussein a toy every day. “What I am living through seems like a big lie. ...The mind can’t comprehend,” he said. “I thank God for the blessing that is Hussein.” *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces*** On November 18, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on the Gaza Strip resulted in 4 main massacres, in which 76 Palestinian civilians were killed, and the 158 others were injured, in the past 24 hours (from a specific time of yesterday to a specific time of today). This increased the accounted for death toll in Gaza Strip to 43,922 and the injuries to 103,898, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023. *** 76 Palestinian martyrs in 4 Israeli massacres in Gaza over the past 24 hours Monday 18-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that 76 Palestinians were martyred and 158 injured in four Israeli massacres in the beleaguered enclave over the past 24 hours, most of them women and children. It added in its daily statistical report that many victims were still buried under the rubble of destroyed houses or lying on roads and could not be retrieved due to the Israeli shooting attacks. The report pointed out that the number of martyrs in the ongoing Israeli genocide since October 7, 2023 had thus risen to 43,922 while the number of injured surged to 103,898. *** Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters Day 409 Monday 18-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 409th consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas. Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Monday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens. The Israeli army’s large-scale genocidal campaign in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalya and Bait Lahya, has entered day 45, where its forces continue to intensively bomb homes and shelters and attack civilians while imposing a tight siege on the entire area. Deliberate Israeli attacks on ambulance and civil defense workers already deprived northern Gaza of any rescue services. According to local sources, 17 civilians were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a house near the Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in northern Gaza. An Israeli warplane also targeted a gathering of people in Camp 2 in an-Nuseirat area in central Gaza, killing four of them and injuring others. Other people were injured in an Israeli attack in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza. The Israeli army bombed a house belonging to the family of Abu Riyala near al-Jalaa street in the west of Gaza City, killing five citizens and injuring 10 others, mostly women and children. The Israeli occupation army also massacred several civilians after displacing them from Beit Lahia. Only two martyrs and two wounded people were evacuated to the Kamal 'Udwan Hospital following the attack, while many casualties were still lying on a road at the time of reporting. Bodies of two martyrs were evacuated from al-Mawasi area in Rafah, south of Gaza, following an Israeli attack. Meanwhile, civil defense workers recovered bodies of four martyrs (parents and their two kids) and transported a wounded child following an Israeli attack on tents sheltering displaced families in al-Attar area in Khan Younus in southern Gaza at dawn Monday. More casualties were reported in different areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today. *** At least 17 civilians killed and others injured in Israeli airstrikes on house in Bait Lahya GAZA, November, 18, 2024 (WAFA) – At least 17 civilians were killed and others were injured on Monday when the Israeli occupation bombed a house in the Beit Lahia project, north of the Gaza Strip. Local sources reported that 17 citizens were killed and others were injured when the occupation bombed a house near Kamal 'Udwan Hospital, north of the Gaza Strip. They indicated that the occupation targeted a house near Abu Al-Jidyan roundabout on the road to Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in the Beit Lahia project. The sources pointed out that the residents were unable to reach the victims due to the lack of ambulances and civil defense vehicles. It is noteworthy that 46 citizens have been killed since dawn today in the occupation raids on the Gaza Strip, 30 of them in the north of the Strip. Y.S. ý*** Abu Safiya denies allegations on medical aid entry to Kamal 'Udwan Hospital Monday 18-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Doctor 'Husam Abu Safiya, denied allegations circulated in international media, about the delivery of medical aid to the hospital, stressing that it is still under Israeli siege. Abu Safiya said in press statements on Monday, “After four-weeks-long waiting for allowing the World Health Organization to enter food, medicine and specialized medical delegations to the hospital, Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) emptied the ambulances loaded with food in the street and forced the medical delegation to return back.” He added that the IOFs allowed the entry of only seven out of 40 boxes of medical supplies. Abu Safiya stressed that the hospital loses numbers of the wounded every day as they die of their wounds due to the lack of surgical specialties, noting that cases of malnutrition from children flock to the hospital with “four of them with critical health conditions. We started monitoring a number of adults suffering from malnutrition,” he said. The director of Kamal 'Udwan stressed that the hospital is still providing medical service at the minimum capacity, saying “We have only pediatricians to perform surgeries despite being not specialized in general surgeries, just to save the lives of the injured.” “We receive daily distress calls, but we cannot help them. There is no single ambulance or civil defense crew operating in northern Gaza, which is subject to Israeli siege, where people are denied access to water, food, and medicine. No new surgeons are allowed to enter the hospital after the arrest of the surgical teams,” he added. The situation was deteriorated in the Kamal 'Udwan Hospital after the IOF bombed its upper floors, and arrested most of its medical cadres late month, with only two doctors remaining inside the hospital with a few nursing staff. Doctor Abu Safiya revealed that the hospital received on Sunday a distress call from women and children under the rubble who probably died as the medical teams could not help them. For the 45th day, northern Gaza has been under an Israeli tight siege, starvation and enforced displacement amid violent air and artillery shelling, and a complete isolation of the northern province from Gaza, in an operation described by international and UN organizations as a crime that amounts to the crime of ethnic cleansing. *** 85 martyrs, 301 wounded, 20 kidnapped in Israeli attacks on Civil Defense in Gaza Monday 18-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Civil Defense revealed the losses it incurred in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli brutal war on the Strip. The Civil Defense said in a statement on Monday, it has lost 85 of its crews as martyrs, in addition to the injury of 301 others, and the arrest of 20 members. It stated that the total number of completely and partially destroyed centers and headquarters reached 17 facilities, including 14 completely destroyed centers and three others partially damaged. The Civil Defense added that the number of damaged vehicles reached 56, including the complete destruction of 12 fire-and-rescue vehicles, two rapid intervention rescue vehicles, four water tanker vehicles, eight ambulances, a hydraulic rescue ladder vehicle, and 13 administrative vehicles, while partially destroyed vehicles included 11 fire-and-rescue vehicles, three ambulance vehicles, and two water tanker vehicles. It also pointed out that the Israeli occupation army hit civil defense centers six times and its crews 17 times in direct attacks. The Israeli occupation army destroyed the civil defense stock of firefighting, rescue, and ambulance equipment worth one million and three hundred thousand dollars, it highlighted. On October 23, 2024, the Israeli occupation took the civil defense system out of service in northern Gaza and forced its crews to move to central and southern Gaza. *** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces *** Israeli occupation forces shoot dead a Palestinian youth in Nablus NABLUS, November, 18, 2024 (WAFA) – A young man was killed after he was shot by Israeli forces east of Nablus, sources said. The IOFs stormed the Wadi Al-Mali'h area in the northern Jordan Valley, and violently broke into local homes. The IOFs also attacked Al-Mali'h School, where they removed the Palestinian flag and assaulted the school’s service correspondent, who was transferred to Toubas Hospital for treatment. *** IOFs kidnap several Palestinian citizens in West Bank raids Monday 18-November-2024 WEST BANK, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped last night and on Monday morning a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes in some areas. According to local sources, the IOFs stormed Al-Duhaisha refugee camp in southern Bethlehem, raided dozens of homes and kidnapped about 30 citizens before releasing them later. The IOF also kidnapped a young man at dawn and confiscated fertilizers and other agricultural substances during a raid on a plant nursery in Doura City, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron). In Nablus, armed clashes broke out between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers during an IOFs raid in Balata refugee camp. Local sources said that the IOFs deployed snipers, flew drones and bulldozed roads and infrastructure in Balata refugee camp. The Nablus Brigade said that a group of its fighters showered Israeli forces with bullets and damaged a military bulldozer after detonating an explosive device at it in Balata camp. Near Nablus, local youths threw stones and Molotov cocktails at IOFs vehicles in Baita town. The IOFs also stormed Bait Foureek town, east of Nablus, and kidnaped two young men from a barbershop. Another young man was kidnapped during an IOFs raid in Jaba' town, south of Jenin. Clashes with local youths happened during the IOF campaign in the town. Four other young men were kidnaped by the IOFs from Silwad town, in eastern Ramallah. Furether, the IOFs stormed Al-Mughayyir village in Ramallah, kidnapped four citizens from Abu 'Aliya family, seized three cars and ransacked over 40 homes. The IOFs raids in other West Bank areas took place last night and on Monday morning, with no reported kidnappings. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Israeli occupation forces storm school in northern Jordan Valley, assault staff member JORDAN VALLEY, November 18, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces Monday stormed Al-Mali'h School in the northern Jordan Valley and assaulted one of the staff members. The worker was subsequently taken to Toubas Turkish Governmental Hospital for treatment. Human rights activist, 'Aarif Daraghma, noted that forces also raided the Al-Mali'h area, conducting searches of residents' homes and checking their identification cards. T.R. *** News Related to the Israeli Genocidal War on the Palestinian People *** Lazzarini calls for urgent protection of the rights of Palestine refugees Monday 18-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The only alternative to the UN Palestinian agency’s work in Gaza is to allow Israel to run services there, Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General, told reporters in Geneva on Monday. “There is no plan B within the United Nations family, because there is no other agency capable of providing the same activities,” Lazzarini said. “If you are talking about bringing in a truck with food, you will certainly find an alternative”, but “the answer is no” when it comes to education and primary health care, Lazzarini added. In October, the Israeli Knesset decided to ban UNRWA from operating in Israel and occupied territories and from coordinating with the Israeli authorities. The two laws will take effect 90 days after their adoption, according to the Knesset. Gaza is an unrelenting dystopian horror. More than 43,000 people are reported killed, with nearly 70 percent of them are women and children, Lazzarini told reporters. He further pointed out that thousands more lie unaccounted for under the rubble or have succumbed to starvation or disease. Across Gaza, 660,000 children who should be in school are learning nothing more than how to survive, he added, saying that north Gaza is under a tight siege, as military operations continue. “In Gaza’s long shadow, the occupied West Bank is undergoing a violent transformation. Military incursions by the Israeli Security Forces are a daily reality. Public infrastructure is destroyed systematically during military operations, inflicting collective punishment on Palestinians.” *** UN's Special Middle East Coordinator says that 'region is at dark crossroads' NEW YORK, November, 18, 2024 (WAFA) – The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, said that after a year of horrific war and bloodshed in the Middle East, the region is at a dark crossroads, calling on the international community to “act now to change the dangerous path we are on.” In his briefing to the UN Security Council session on Monday to discuss the situation in the Middle East, Wennesland warned that “we are living a nightmare,” and that “the shock and grief that has been unleashed is immeasurable.” The UN official pointed out that the devastating war and the devastating Israeli military campaign in Gaza have caused massive destruction and heavy losses. “These events will reverberate for generations, shaping the region in ways that we cannot yet fully comprehend,” he said. Wennesland also explained that the humanitarian situation in Gaza, with the onset of winter, is “catastrophic,” especially the developments in northern Gaza with the massive and almost complete displacement of the population and widespread destruction, amid what appears to be a disturbing disregard for international humanitarian law. He stressed that the current conditions in Gaza are “among the worst we have seen during the entire war, and we do not expect them to improve.” The UN official spoke about the situation in the occupied West Bank, which “remains stuck in a devastating cycle of violence and despair.” He pointed to the continued Israeli incursions into Palestinian cities and refugee camps as well as the high levels of colonist-related violence. Wennesland warned that colonial expansion will continue unabated, as the Israeli government has taken many steps to accelerate colonial progress, with some ministers now openly calling for the formal annexation of the West Bank in the coming months, and the establishment of colonies in Gaza. “In light of the developments in Gaza and Israel’s recent passage of laws against UNRWA operations, I must issue an urgent warning that the institutional framework for supporting the Palestinian people and the Palestinian state is on the verge of collapse, threatening to plunge the occupied Palestinian territory into even greater chaos,” he added. The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process warned that the steps being taken on the ground in Gaza and the occupied West Bank “are taking us further and further away from the peace process and from an eventual viable Palestinian state.” He stressed that while preparations for recovery and reconstruction are well underway, humanitarian relief and reconstruction will be no more than temporary assistance in the absence of a political solution. “The international community must set clear markers for how to end the war in Gaza in a way that paves the way for a viable political future,” he said. Wennesland identified a set of principles that need urgent protection and attention, including that Gaza is and must remain an integral part of a future Palestinian state, without any reduction in its territory, and that there should be no Israeli military presence in Gaza. Wennesland added that there is a need for a political framework that allows the international community to mobilize the tools and set a timetable for ending this conflict, based on well-recognized principles, with the ability to leverage the strengths, resources and influence of the region and international partners with the parties. Local health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7, 2023 has risen to 43,922 registered fatalities, with an additional 103,898 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children. According to the same sources, emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of ambulance and civil defense crews.
