In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves" (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

resistance shelling Saturday, November 2, 2024 BEIRUT, (PIC) The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported the martyrdom of 52 people yesterday, Friday (November 1, 2024), due to Israeli airstrikes on the eastern part of the country. Israel has expanded its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip to include Lebanon, resulting in 2,897 deaths and 13,047 injuries, mostly among women and children, along with the displacement of about 1.4 million people. 'Hizbullah continues to launch daily attacks using rockets, drones, and artillery against Israeli military positions, while the occupation maintains military censorship regarding its human and material losses. The Ministry of Health said in a statement that “Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon in the past 24 hours resulted in 30 martyrs.” Since September 23, the Israeli occupation has expanded its campaign of extermination to include most areas of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, through unprecedentedly violent and intensive airstrikes. It has also begun a ground invasion in the south, disregarding international warnings and UN resolutions. In response, 'Hizbullah continues to retaliate daily with rockets, drones, and artillery shells targeting Israeli military positions and settlements. While Israel announces some of its human and material losses, military censorship imposes strict secrecy on most losses, according to observers. Nineteen Israelis were injured this morning, Saturday, after a rocket struck the town of Tayyarah in central Israel. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the rocket caused 11 injuries before emergency services raised the number to 19, noting that the rocket directly targeted a building. For its part, the Israeli occupation army said that it had detected the launch of three rockets from Lebanon towards Tel Aviv and its environs, and that some of them were intercepted, adding that details are still under investigation. The army confirmed that sirens sounded in several areas in central Israel following rocket fire from Lebanon. This occurs while the Israeli aggression against Lebanon continues, and confrontations between the occupation forces and 'Hizbullah intensify. *** Israeli genocidal air strikes on the Beirut’s southern suburb Friday 1-November-2024 BEIRUT, (PIC) The Israeli occupation apartheid regime army renewed its attacks on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, at dawn Friday after a hiatus that lasted for several days, while mediators are working to reach a ceasefire agreement. According to the Lebanese News Agency, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of violent raids, targeting several areas in Beirut’s southern suburb. The raids left massive destruction in the targeted areas, as dozens of buildings were leveled to the ground, in addition to the outbreak of fires. Israeli warplanes also launched five airstrikes on the city of Al-Nabatiya in southern Lebanon and reportedly bombed, at 3:00 am, a clinic affiliated with the Ministry of Social Affairs. On Thursday, 11 Lebanese were martyred in raids on Ba'albek and the surrounding villages. The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that the number of martyrs has surged to 2,867 and the number of injured to 13,047 since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the country. The Lebanese Health Minister Firas Al-Abyadh said on Thursday that 172 medical staffers have martyred since the beginning of the Israeli war on the country. Al-Abyadh added that the Israeli war on Lebanon has rendered eight hospitals out of service, condemning the international community’s negligence of the crimes committed by the Israeli army which enjoys western military support and political cover. *** Lebanon: The Israeli occupation army refuses to allow ambulances to rescue civilians Thursday 31-October-2024 BEIRUT, (PIC) Lebanese MP Firas Hamdan said on Thursday that the Israeli occupation army refuses to allow ambulances’ entry to rescue civilians trapped in the Wata al-Khiam area, most of whom are children and women. The Israeli enemy refuses to grant permission for ambulances to enter and rescue 20 civilians, mostly children and women, in the Wata al-Khiyam area, the Lebanese MP said in his X account. “These individuals have been trapped under the rubble for 72 hours, with no serious efforts to save them, and under a media blackout imposed by the enemy.” “I have reached out to UNIFIL, the Lebanese Army, and both the International and Lebanese Red Cross. So far, the answer remains the same: no permission from the Israeli enemy to allow any access for evacuation, whether they are injured or deceased.” MP Hamdan appealed to the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government, and all relevant organizations to take swift action to enable rescue teams to access conflict zones as stipulated by the provisions of international humanitarian law. *** *** Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces*** On November 1, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on the Gaza Strip resulted in 3 main massacres, in which 55 Palestinian civilians were killed, and the 186 others were injured, in the past 24 hours (from a specific time of yesterday to a specific time of today). This increased the accounted for death toll in Gaza Strip to 43,259 and the injuries to 101,827, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023. *** The Palestinian Ministry of Health: 55 Palestinians martyred in 3 Israeli massacres in Gaza over the past 24 hours Friday 1-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Friday that 55 Palestinian citizens were martyred and 186 others injured, in 3 Israeli massacres, in Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours. It said that an unspecified number of martyrs are still under the rubble of destroyed buildings or lying on roads but could not be retrieved due to the IOFs shooting attacks. *** The Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters Day 392 Friday 1-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians, half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 392nd consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas. Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Friday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens. The Israeli army’s large-scale genocidal campaign in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalya and Bait Lahya, has entered day 27 on Friday, where its forces continue to intensively bomb homes and shelters and attack civilians. The Israeli artillery shelled the east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. The Israeli gunboats also shelled the shores of the central governorate of the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes launched a series of air raids targeting agricultural land in Al-Najjar neighborhood in the town of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis. Similar attacks were carried out near Al-Nazla Club in Jabalya Al-Nazla, north of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli artillery also shelled the Sabra neighborhood in the south of Gaza City, amid heavy gunfire in Al-Saftawi neighborhood northwest of the city. Last night and at dawn today, 47 Palestinians were killed and dozens more were injured, most of them children and women, in an Israeli shelling of Dair El-Bala'h, Al-Nusayrat, and Al-Zawayida, in the central Gaza Strip. *** Martyrs and wounded in shelling on the town of Jabalya and Nuseirat campý ýGaza 1-11-2024 Wafa - A number of citizens were martyred on Friday evening, and other citizens were injured, in the Israeli occupation aircraft's genocidal bombardment of the town of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip, and Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in the middle of it.ý ýLocal sources said that the occupation warplanes bombed Al-Rafi'i School, which shelters displaced people in the town of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to the death of a number of citizens.ý ýThree civilians, including two children, were killed in the Israeli shelling of a house in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.ý ýFive civilians were also injured after the Israeli occupation forces renewed artillery shelling north of Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, and in shelling targeting a house belonging to the Salman family in the town of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip.ý ýThe Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since the seventh of October 2023, resulting in the death of more than 43,000 citizens, and the injury of about 102,000 others, the majority of whom are children and women, in an indefinite toll, as thousands of missing people are still under the rubble, amid the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the besieged Stripýý.ý *** PGMO: Two Israeli massacres in northern Gaza, in which 84 Palestinian civilians were killed, including 50 children Saturday 2-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Dozens of citizens, including children and women, were massacred or injured on Friday evening when an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in Tel Al-Za'tar area, north of the Gaza Strip. According to local sources, the Israeli occupation army bombed a multi-story building belonging to Shalayil in Tel Al-Za'tar, killing and injuring dozens of its residents. A large number of wounded and missing people are reportedly still under the rubble, while there are no civil defense and ambulance services in the area to deal with the situation. A source from the Shalayil family said that over 40 people were inside the bombed building, including a number of displaced civilians, adding that a pregnant woman was among the victims. The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza reported that the Israeli occupation army committed two horrific massacres on Friday when it reduced to rubble two apartment buildings belonging to the families of Shalayil and Al-Ghandour in northern Gaza, adding that 170 civilians were inside them when the airstrikes happened. The airstrikes on the buildings claimed the lives of at least 84 civilians, including 50 children, and injured many others, while many others are still under the rubble, according to PGMO. *** Palestinian photojournalist, Bilal Rajab, killed in Israeli attack on Gaza City Friday 1-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Palestinian photojournalist Bilal Rajab was killed when an Israeli genocidal airstrike targeted a group of citizens in the vicinity of the popular Firas Market, west of Palestine Square, in the center of Gaza City, on Friday. Al-Quds Al-Youm TV mourned its photojournalist “who was martyred in an Israeli targeting of Gaza City.” The total number of journalists and media workers who have been killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, now stands at 183. For its part, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip condemned the Israeli deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists. It called on the international community to intervene to stop the killing of Palestinian journalists reporting on the war in Gaza, which has become the deadliest conflict for media workers. *** Director of Al-'Awda Hospital: The situation is terrifying and we are out of doctors, fuel will run out Saturday 2-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) Dr. Mu'hammed Sali'h, the director of Al-'Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, warned that fuel will run out by tomorrow, Sunday, which will have negative consequences that worsen the “terrifying health situation” in the region, which has been undergoing a campaign of extermination and ethnic cleansing by Israel for the past 29 days. In statements to the press on Saturday, Sali'h noted that they are operating with very limited resources and with only one doctor. He said that Al-'Awda Hospital is currently the only hospital in northern Gaza that has a general surgeon, at a time when the number of injuries requiring urgent surgical interventions in the brain, nerves, blood vessels, eyes, and bones is increasing. He added that more than 70% of the injuries received at the hospital need urgent surgical interventions, expressing his grave concern about the unprecedented deteriorating situation in the hospital and other medical facilities in the north. He described the situation in the province as terrifying, especially given the severe shortage of medical personnel and essential supplies, as well as the deliberate targeting of hospitals by Israeli occupation forces. Sali'h mentioned that there are significant challenges in transporting injured Palestinians from targeted areas in the field, especially due to the Israeli army’s destruction of ambulance vehicles and the removal of the Palestinian Civil Defense from service in the province. He also said: “The injured are currently being transported to the hospital carried on the shoulders of citizens walking on foot, and in some cases, they are being transported on carts pulled by animals.” Additionally, Sali'h explained that the hospital is under repeated gunfire from the Israeli occupation army, which disrupts operations and poses a threat to the lives of patients and medical staff. He pointed to the immense pressure faced by the medical staff in the hospital due to the volume of injuries, in addition to the shortage of medicines and essential medical supplies. *** ý*** Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces *** Palestinian injured by IOFs gunfire in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) Saturday 2-November-2024 Al-Khaleel (Hebron), (PIC) A Palestinian young man was injured on Saturday afternoon when the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) opened fire at him in Al-Khaleel (Hebron), south of the West Bank. Paramedics from the Red Crescent provided the wounded young man with medical assistance and evacuated him to the nearest hospital. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces with one bulldozer stormed Al-Fawwar refugee camp in southern Al-Khaleel (Hebron) and clashed with local youths. Local sources said that the IOFs raided several homes in Al-Fawwar, kidnaped over 10 young men, deployed snipers, and barred local residents from moving in the camp’s streets. *** Fresh raids, kidnappings across the West Bank Friday 1-November-2024 WEST BANK, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) launched a large-scale raid and kidnapping campaign in Nablus and Qalqilya in the West Bank at dawn Friday. In Nablus, resistance fighters opened fire at the IOFs after they violently stormed the eastern part of the city and Balata refugee camp. Local sources reported that Israeli occupation army vehicles and jeeps raided several neighborhoods in the city amid heavy live fire, which led to the outbreak of clashes. The IOFs kidnapped two young men in the northern mountain area, the sources added. The Israeli occupation forces also kidnapped another young man after raiding his house and severely beating him. Three more Palestinians were kidnapped in Balata refugee Camp, including an elderly man. Several local homes were violently stormed and searched during the raid. In Qalqilya, the IOFs stormed a number of local buildings and set up snipers on their roofs. Local sources added that the occupation forces raided a number of houses and residential buildings in a number of neighborhoods in the city. *** Israeli occupation soldiers injured in fierce clashes with the Palestinian resistance fighters in the West Bank Saturday 2-November-2024 WEST BANK, (PIC) The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) came under attack from Palestinian resistance fighters during their raids in the West Bank on Saturday, amid reports of casualties among Israeli soldiers. In a related context, the IOFs kidnapped two young men during raids in Nablus and Qalqilya and stormed other areas of the West Bank, with no reported arrests. *** ýIsraeli occupation forces raid Amateen and Siniria villages in Qalqilyaý ýQalqilya 1-11-2024 Wafa - Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces raided the villages of Amateen and Seniriya in Qalqilya governorateýý.ý ýAccording to local sources, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Amateen, east of Qalqilya, and the village of Seniria south of it, and drove their vehicles in several neighborhoods there, without reporting any kidnappingsýý.ý ýM.Aý. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Illegal Israeli settlers attack Palestinian farmers while picking olives in Salfeet, Nablus Saturday 2-November-2024 WEST BANK, (PIC) A group of the illegal Israeli armed settlers attacked on Saturday Palestinian farmers while picking olives in their agricultural lands in two towns located west of Salfeet and south of Nablus in the West Bank. The farmer, Yousuf Al-Deek, reported that settlers of the pastoral settlement outpost which was illegally built on citizens’ lands in Kafr Al-Deek town attacked olive pickers in the Khalat Al-'Haramiya area west of the town while shouting, cursing, and threatening to make farmers leave their lands, and prevent them from harvesting their olives. Al-Deek pointed out that the settlers stole, over the past week, 30 bags of olives and agricultural equipment, in addition to grazing livestock among trees and provoking farmers, in an attempt to prevent citizens from reaching their lands. Agricultural lands in Salfeet province are subjected to daily attacks by settlers and Israeli occupation forces (IOF), which have escalated since the start of the current olive season. Meanwhile, Israeli settlers reportedly attacked olive pickers in the lands of Jaloud, to the south of Nablus city. Local sources explained that a number of settlers attacked, under the protection of the IOF, Palestinian farmers in the eastern region of the town and prevented them from harvesting olive fruits, adding that the attacking settlers opened fire towards anyone who attempted to approach the land. Jaloud town is systematically exposed to settlers’ attacks, especially during the olive harvesting season, as farmers of the town have been deprived of accessing more than 500 dunums of lands planted with olive trees. During the annual olive harvest season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by the illegal settlers and IOFs, leaving farmers forced to constantly face obstacles and arbitrary practices that prevent them from accessing their lands, which leads to huge material losses and exacerbated daily suffering. Expectations indicate that farmers will be unable to reach 80,000 dunums of olive groves, due to settlers’ terrorism which is carried out under the IOF protection, leading to the loss of about 15% of this year’s harvest. *** Illegal Israeli settlers attack Burqa village, IOFs seize vehicles in Ramallah and Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) Friday 1-November-2024 RAMALLAH, (PIC) Dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked on Friday Burqa village, east of Ramallah, while Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) raided Palestinians’ homes east of the city and others located south of Bethlehem, seized citizens’ vehicles and arrested a number of them. Local sources reported that dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked the Wadi Al-Shami area in Burqa, but citizens confronted them and forced them to retreat. On the other hand, the IOFs kidnapped four citizens, raided a number of homes, and seized 15 vehicles when they stormed the village of Abwein, north of Ramallah. Meanwhile, the IOFs seized a vehicle after storming the town of Al-Khadir, south of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem). Eyewitnesses said that Israeli troops stormed Al-Khadir town and chased young men and obstructed the movement of vehicles, before seizing one of them. The illegal Israeli settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinian villages and towns coinciding with the olive harvest season. In Toulkarm, fanatic settlers set fire to olive trees in Rameen Plain, east of the city, and chased farmers forcing them to leave their lands. Local sources revealed that the fire, due to the direction of the wind, rebounded onto the illegal settlers’ tents, towards their illegal settlement outpost they had forcibly established in the plain, which led the attacking settlers to hysterically chase olive pickers, forcing them at gunpoint to stop working and to leave their lands. The settlers pursued farmers’ vehicles, attacked, and destroyed a number of them. They also stole the tools and equipment the farmers had to leave behind, and seized some of the harvested olives. Since the beginning of the olive season this year, and until October 29, the IOFs and the illegal Israeli settlers have carried out 239 attacks against olive pickers, including 109 cases of preventing access to their lands, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission. Such attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of the citizen 'Hanan 'Abdul Ra'hman Abu Salama (60 years old) from the village of Faqqu’a, northeast of Jineen, and the injury of more than 50 others, in addition to burning and uprooting hundreds of olive trees and steeling their fruits. ***

The demonstrations were organized following the Friday prayer in several cities, including San’a, S'ada, 'Hajjah, Al-Jawf, Dthamar, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Al-Baydha, Al-Dali, La'hj, 'Hudayida, and Ta'iz. The participants carried flags of Yemen, Palestine and Lebanon and pictures of 'Hamas and 'Hizbullah leaders, and chanted slogans in support of Gaza and Lebanon. In a joint statement, the organizers of the protests highlighted Yemen’s readiness to respond to any Zio-American escalation regardless of the sacrifices and challenges. The statement applauded the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance factions for inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. *** 'Hamas sends message of solidarity to the Spanish people after devastating floods Friday 1-November-2024 Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC) A 'Hamas leader, Dr. Basim Na'eem, expressed the Palestinian people’s solidarity with the Spanish people following the devastating floods in the Valencia region. In his message to the Spanish people on Thursday, Na'eem said, “Despite the pain and suffering we are experiencing in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Zionist genocidal war, we send our message of solidarity and love to the friendly Spanish people, especially in the Valencia region, after the destructive floods that have resulted in hundreds of dead and missing, as well as the immense damage to homes and public property.” The 'Hamas leader added: “We wish the brotherly people of Spain a swift recovery and the ability to overcome this humanitarian disaster, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured, and our condolences to the families of the deceased and the missing.” Spanish authorities reported dozens of deaths on Wednesday due to heavy rains that swept through southeastern Spain, particularly in Valencia and the Andalusia region, creating chaos in the affected areas. Emergency services stated they are facing difficulties reaching many towns and villages. These floods are considered the most severe in Spain since August 1996. Scientists warn that extreme weather phenomena such as heatwaves and storms are becoming more frequent, longer-lasting, and more intense due to climate change. *** 'Hamas: Mediators did not propose a permanent ceasefire Friday 1-November-2024 GAZA, (PIC) The 'Hamas Movement said that it received a proposal from mediators in Egypt and Qatar for a short-term truce in Gaza and rejected it for not including a lasting ceasefire. “Brothers in Egypt and Qatar suggested a temporary truce for specific days and increasing the number of aid trucks, during which a partial exchange of prisoners would take place.” “The proposals do not include a permanent cessation of aggression, nor do they entail the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip or the return of displaced persons,” the Movement said. The Movement pointed out that the proposals presented by the mediators “do not address our people’s needs for security, stability, relief and reconstruction, nor do they address the normal opening of the crossings, especially the Rafa'h crossing.” 'Hamas “reiterated that what our people want is a complete, comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the return of the displaced, and the lifting of the siege.” *** UN rapporteur demands decisive international action to end genocide in Gaza Friday 1-November-2024 NEW YORK, (PIC) The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, called for decisive international action to end genocide in the Gaza Strip. Albanese said in a statement, “A genocide and man-made humanitarian catastrophe are unfolding in front of us in Gaza,” noting that “the violence that Israel has unleashed against the Palestinians after October 7 is part of a long-term intentional, systematic, and state-organized forced displacement against Palestinians.” The UN official added that “the wholesale destruction of Gaza continues unabated, and no Palestinian is safe,” stressing that Israel’s plans of displacement and land annexation are now expanding from Palestine to Lebanon. The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today that the death toll has risen to 43,204 martyrs and 101,641 wounded since the Israeli occupation began its genocidal war on the Strip on October 7, 2023, in addition to more than 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world. *** Guterres: Israeli occupation army’s killing of journalists in Gaza “unacceptable” Saturday 2-November-2024 GENEVA, (PIC) The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Friday, “The Israeli army’s killing of journalists in the Gaza Strip is unacceptable.” Guterres added that “the war on Gaza completed its first year last month,” stressing that the deteriorating situation in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the Israeli military operations, the construction of settlements and the increasing intensity of settler attacks continue to weaken the possibility of reaching a two-state solution. Guterres criticized the continued “Israeli ban”, which prevents international journalists from entering Gaza, noting that “journalists in the Strip are being killed at an unprecedented level in any past conflict.” He stressed that “journalists covering developments in the occupied West Bank were also killed or injured by the Israeli army,” stressing that “this situation is unacceptable.” The Government Media Office in Gaza had earlier announced that the number of martyrs among journalists in the Strip has mounted to 183 since October 7, 2023. Meanwhile, the Forum of Palestinian Journalists said in a statement on Saturday that the international inaction for prosecuting Israel and holding it accountable for murdering journalists and targeting civilians in Gaza, paved the way for committing more crimes against Palestinian journalists and media institutions over more than a year of its genocidal war in the Strip. In a press statement on the occasion of the International Day to end impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, which falls on the second of November, the Forum said the Israeli occupation crimes against journalists affected 183 journalists and hundreds of their families. It also called on concerned international bodies to take serious and decisive measures to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its grave crimes against Palestinian journalists in order to put an end to its continuous impunity. The Forum called for obliging the Israeli occupation army to abide by international and humanitarian laws and conventions that stipulate for the protection of journalists and media institutions during times of conflict. *** =============================================================================================================================== Editorial
