While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

HRW: Israeli army committed war crimes against Palestinian detainees

Tuesday 23-July-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

Human Rights Watch (HRW) has said that the Israeli army use of humiliating, degrading and inhumane methods against Palestinian prisoners amounts to “war crimes.”

In a report on Tuesday, HRW said it had analyzed 37 of social media posts depicting captured Palestinians, predominantly men and boys in Gaza and the West Bank, often stripped to their underwear and in some cases completely naked, handcuffed, blindfolded, and injured.

“Some posts included demeaning and humiliating captions by Israeli soldiers or journalists. Platforms like TikTok and YouTube have removed some of these posts,” HRW added.

“Israeli authorities have for months turned a blind eye as members of their military published dehumanizing fully or seminude images and videos of Palestinians in their custody,” Balqees Jarra'h, acting Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, said.

“Senior [Israeli] officials and military commanders can be held criminally responsible for ordering these crimes, or for failing to prevent or punish them, including at the International Criminal Court,” Jarrah added.

Abu Marzouq: Signing the Beijing Declaration a historic moment that requires serious commitment

Tuesday 23-July-2024

BEIJING, (PIC)

Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouq, head of the Hamas International Relations Office, said signing the Beijing Declaration is a historic moment that requires serious commitment that would lead to the implementation of what has been signed, hoping that it would not be a new failure added to the previous failed agreements.

During the Beijing Declaration signing on Tuesday, Abu Marzouq said that the Palestinian people have deterred the Israeli plan to neutralize the Palestinian resistance and have succeeded through their steadfastness to hinder the displacement scheme by clinging to their homeland.

“We will continue exerting efforts at all levels to protect our people and bring an end to the aggression and massacres against them,” he added.

The Hamas official praised the efforts of China and all other parties that supported the Palestinian people, especially 'Hizbullah, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt.

Badran: The Beijing Declaration is an important step towards national unity

Tuesday 23-July-2024

BEIJING, (PIC)

The head of the Hamas National Relations Office and a member of its political bureau, 'Husam Badran, said the Beijing Declaration is an important positive step to achieve Palestinian national unity.

In a press statement on Tuesday, Badran expressed his appreciation for China’s efforts to reach this declaration, stressing the Palestinians’ need for confronting the US solo policy in the Palestinian issue file and its complete bias to and partnership with Israel.

Badran explained that during the Beijing meetings, it has been agreed on the Palestinian demands related to ending the Israeli genocide war and aggression on Gaza, a permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and starting Gaza reconstruction.

He said that the most important point of the agreement is the formation of a national consensus government with specific tasks to confront regional and international interventions that seek to impose facts against the interests of the Palestinian people, and to supervise Gaza reconstruction and prepare for holding elections.

Badran reported that the Beijing meeting stressed the need for confronting the Israeli occupation’s conspiracies and its ongoing violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque and its attempts to Judaize Jerusalem as well as the necessary need for the support of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Severe medical cases among female detainees in Damoun Prison, says Commission

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 24, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Detainee and Ex-Detainees Commission said that there are many serious medical cases among female detainees in Damoun Prison in urgent need of treatment and health care in civilian hospitals.

The Commission said in a statement that the detention center holds 78 female detainees, three of whom are from Gaza and a third of the total number are administrative detainees.

It pointed out that the two sick detainees, Zainab Sajdiya, who suffers from cancer, and Rana 'Eida, are suffering from a difficult health condition, while the two detainees, Nawal Fat'hia and Dana Khoury, are being held in solitary confinement.

It  affirmed that the Commission’s lawyer was able the day before yesterday, to visit the two detainees, Anwar Rustom,33, from the town of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, who is still detained, and Hanaa Sali'h, 36,  from the town of Dair Abu Mish'al, northwest of Ramallah, who is detained according to an administrative decision. The lawyer talked to them separately, and they informed her about the horrific conditions inside the prison.

The lawyer reported, quoting the two detainees, that the rooms are very crowded, as there are two types of rooms, the large one, in which a minimum of 10 female detainees are held, and the small one, in which a minimum of 5 female detainees are held,

The temperatures inside the rooms are high and there is no ventilation while only one hour is allocated for showering and bathing, and there is an acute shortage of clothes and women’s needs.

The Commission renewed its call to local and international women’s institutions to rescue female detainees and stop the occupation’s prison administration’s monopolization of them.

WHO voices extreme concern over mass outbreak of polio virus in Gaza

GENEVA, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 (WAFA) –

The World Health Organization (WHO) today voiced extreme concern over a possible mass outbreak of polio in the war-torn Gaza Strip, the UN said in a news feed.

Ayadil Saparbekov, Team Lead for Health Emergencies at the WHO in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, told journalists that he was “extremely worried” about the spread of polio and other communicable diseases, which could lead to more people dying of preventable illness than from war-related injuries.

Hepatitis A was already confirmed last year in the Strip, he told journalists, via video link from Jerusalem.

“With the crippled health system, lack of water and sanitation, as well as lack of access of the population to health services… this is going to be a very bad situation,” he maintained. “We may have more people dying of different communicable diseases than from injury-related conditions.”

On 16 July, the WHO said that vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (VDPV2) had been identified at six locations in sewage samples collected on 23 June from Khan Younus and Dair El-Bala'h.

WHO explained last week that polio virus can emerge in areas where poor vaccination coverage allows the weakened form of the orally administered vaccine virus strain to mutate into a stronger version.

So far, the virus has found in sewage samples only and no one in Gaza has been identified with polio-induced paralysis. Further genomic sequencing by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta indicated that the virus is linked to a strain that was circulating in Egypt during the second half of 2023, WHO said.

Saparbekov explained that human samples have not yet been collected, as there is a lack of equipment and of lab capacity to test them. A WHO team will be coming into Gaza on Thursday with up to 50 sample collection kits; it will send the specimens to a lab in Jordan for further analysis.

The WHO official said that together with partners, the agency is conducting an epidemiological investigation and risk assessment to identify the source of the virus, which is at high risk of spreading within Gaza and internationally.

“Based on the results of the assessment, WHO and the [Global Polio Initiative Network] partners will consolidate a set of recommendations, including the need for a mass vaccination campaign,” he said.

Saparbekov stressed that given the water, sanitation and hygiene situation in Gaza, it will be “very difficult” for the population to follow advice on hand-washing and drinking safe water.

“Unfortunately, the majority who live in shelters with one toilet for 600 people and maybe 1.52 litres of water per person will definitely not be able to follow the recommendations,” he said.

The UN health agency representative also insisted that if a mass vaccination campaign is decided, it will be the responsibility of the Israeli occupation authorities to facilitate the arrival of vaccines into the enclave.

He also stressed the need for the occupation authorities to increase the number of medical teams that are allowed to enter Gaza, make sure that the investigation teams gathering samples are protected as they move around the Strip and that “their movement is de-conflicted so that they can safely and freely go and do the epidemiological investigation”.

Turning to the devastation of Gaza’s health system, Saparbekov said that less than half of primary health care facilities are operational and only 16 out of the enclave’s 36 hospitals are “partially functional”, meaning that they provide only minimal health care services such as triage of the injured. On Monday, WHO and partners conducted a mission to Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City, where they have been rehabilitating the outpatient department, destroyed in March 2024, and converting it into an emergency department.

"The only functional equipment that unfortunately remains in Gaza [at Al Shifa hospital] is a stationary X-ray machine,” Saparbekov said. “All other major hospital equipment, such as ventilation machines, anaesthesia machines, operating theatre equipment have unfortunately been destroyed and it needs to be replaced.”

WHO and partners are “working around the clock” to make sure that that desperately needed equipment is being brought into Gaza despite of the “restrictions on dual use list”, he said, meaning items which are banned from entering the enclave because the Israeli authorities consider that they could be repurposed for military purposes.

Saparbekov also highlighted the fact that although medical evacuations have been halted since the closing of the Rafah border crossing in May, 16 critically ill children with 25 companions were evacuated from Gaza to Egypt almost a month ago and will be transferred to Spain this Thursday.

Up to 14,000 people may need to seek medical treatment outside of the Gaza Strip, he said, before advocating for a “steady flow” of patients out of the enclave to access life-saving care.

Euro-Med: Khan Younus is witnessing one of the bloodiest days as the crime of genocide continues

Monday 22-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli army killed 70 Palestinians and wounded 200 others, mostly children and women, in less than 12 hours in Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a statement issued on Monday.

The report pointed out that hundreds of thousands of civilians have received new evacuation orders in the area.

The crimes committed by the Israeli army against civilians are well-established and consistent. These crimes include killing, mass murder, starvation, denial of humanitarian aid entry, forced evacuation, destruction of civilian objects, and denial of any kind of stability, as has been the case in Khan Younus since Monday morning. Such actions suggest that the occupation is essentially destroying the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in every way that it can, the report indicated.

The Euro-Med pointed out that every time there is talk of going back to the negotiating table to reach a truce and an exchange agreement, the Israeli army purposefully increases the number of massacres and mass killings against Palestinian civilians. This raises concerns that Israel is engaging in political blackmail and pressure by using the killing and displacement of civilians as a tool, as it has done repeatedly in recent weeks.

After carrying out a premeditated mass murder this morning, Monday, 22 July 2024, the Israeli army launched dozens of raids, fire belts, and artillery shelling on homes, streets, and gatherings of displaced people. Thousands of these people fled into the streets in panic, looking for a safe place that did not exist.

These towns were among those covered by the Israeli evacuation orders: Bani Suhayla and its surroundings; 'Abasan Al-Kabeera and Al-Jadeedah and its surroundings; Al-Qarara and its surroundings; Al-Fukhari and its surroundings; Khuza’a and its surroundings; Al-Qurain, Al-Manara, al-Salam, Jourat Al-Lot, Qizan Al-Najjar, Shaikh Nasir, Al-Mahatta, al-Satar, and Al-Kateeba. This coincided with the Israeli army’s declaration that the so-called humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi would be reduced. This was all part of Israel’s media disinformation campaign and psychological warfare tactics, since military assaults on the tents and forced displacement of people have continued in this area for several weeks, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries.

The Euro-Med field team recorded the Israeli army bombing six homes on the heads of their occupants, out of the ten residences for which preliminary information was available since the start of the Israeli military operation on Khan Younus at 7:30 a.m.

70 citizens were killed and over 200 others were injured as a result of the Israeli bombing, many of whom were women and children. Two of the deceased children were infants, while several families had been taken off the civil registry, including the Jubour and 'Harb families.

Given these facts, the Euro-Med called on all nations to fulfill their international obligations by enacting strong sanctions against Israel and severing all political, financial, and military support and cooperation.

Additionally, it called on the International Criminal Court to investigate any and all crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip; broaden its investigation into the criminal responsibility of all parties, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant, in order to hold all perpetrators accountable; issue arrest warrants for those responsible; and acknowledge and address Israel’s crimes in the Strip as international crimes that fall under the purview of the International Criminal Court and are clearly crimes of genocide.

Day 291 of genocide: Israeli occupation forces kill Palestinians in several Gaza areas

GAZA, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 (WAFA) -

The death toll from the intense Israeli occupation bombardment on the eastern areas of Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip, rose to 77, while more than 30 others are still under the rubble, and about 200 others were injured, including children and women, according to medical sources.

The widespread Israeli aggression on eastern Khan Younus coincided with the forced displacement of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, amid catastrophic humanitarian and medical conditions as a result of the intense and violent occupation raids.

As the aggression against the Gaza Strip entered its 291st day, the occupation army continued to commit massacres in various parts of the Strip at dawn on Tuesday, which mainly took place next to Khan Younus, in Gaza City, Jabalya Camp, and Dair El-Bala'h, which resulted in killing and injuring of dozens of civilians.

In the Jabalya camp in the northern Gaza Strip, medical sources confirmed to WAFA correspondents that four were killed and others were injured in Israeli raids that targeted homes in the camp.

Israeli occupation aircraft also targeted a house belonging to Al-Jamasi family on Al-Nafaq Street in Al-Sahaba area, killing four citizens and wounding others.

Health sources reported that eight people were killed in an Israeli targeting of a house owned by Al-Daya family on Al-Mughrabi Street in Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

Sources in the Gaza Civil Defense said that an Israeli bombing targeted a home belonging to Bakr family in Al-'Hadaba area in Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in killing and injuring of a number of people.

By July 22, 2024, the Israeli occupation forces' aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the killing of 39,006 Palestinians, the majority of whom were women and children, while 89,818 others were injured, as thousands of victims remain under rubble and on the roads where ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.

Tuesday 23-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered Day 291 on Tuesday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes and attack citizens in different areas of Gaza, especially in Khan Younus, during the past 24 hours.

According to media sources, casualties, including martyrs, were reported when the Israeli army bombed a house belonging to the family of Abdul-Hadi at the main entrance of Al-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Two citizens were killed in a drone attack on 'Oraiba area in northern Rafa'h, while a young man was shot dead by an Israeli sniper at the rotary of Bani Suhayla neighborhood in eastern Khan Younus.

The Israeli army also bombed last night a house belonging to Shurrab family near the customs police in eastern Khan Younus, killing two civilians.

Civil defense crews reportedly retrieved bodies of eight martyrs from the rubble of a bombed house belonging to the family of Al-Daya in Al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.

Eight other civilians were killed in Israeli attacks on two homes in Al-Sahaba area in the central Gaza City and Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Government Media Office said today that Israel’s relentless attacks on eastern Khan Younus in southern Gaza claimed the lives of at least 89 Palestinian citizens and injured 263 others during the past 24 hours, adding that 68 citizens were also reported missing during the same period.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following the Israeli genocidal aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

IOFs kill five Palestinians in Toulkarm, two others in Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

Tuesday 23-July-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Five Palestinian citizens, including a mother and her daughter, were martyred on Tuesday morning in an Israeli drone attack in Toulkarm refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, while two others were martyred in Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

Local media sources said that an Israeli drone bombed a house in Toulkarm camp, killing three resistance commanders, including Ashraf Nafi' from Al-Qassam Brigades of 'Hamas and Mu'hammed 'Awadh from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

In addition to those martyrs, Red Crescent ambulance crews evacuated the bodies of a mother and her daughter, who were killed during the same drone attack.

A number of citizens were also injured by bullets during the Israeli military campaign in Toulkarm, including a young man with three bullets in his thigh, arm and abdomen.

Two young women also suffered shrapnel wounds and were rushed by ambulance crews to the Thabit Thabit Hospital.

Media sources reported that Israeli troops in more than 25 military vehicles, including bulldozers, stormed Toulkarm and its refugee camp, blocked their entrances and embarked on wreaking havoc on public and private property, including stores, cars and roads.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) also broke into and ransacked several homes in the vicinity of the camp and interrogated its residents.

The IOFs bulldozers reportedly caused damage to water, electricity and internet infrastructure in Toulkarm City and its refugee camp.

Last night, the IOFs laid siege to Toulkarm camp, deployed snipers around it, raided homes and interrogated members of families.

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron), the Israeli occupation forces stormed Ras Al-Aaroudh area in the south of Sa’eer town and opened fire at local youths during clashes with them, killing two of them and injuring others.

The martyrs were identified as Ramiz Al-Halayqa and Jihad Shalalda.

The IOFs reportedly stormed homes, and interrogated and assaulted local residents during its raid in Sa’eer town.

Islamic-Christian Authority warns of mass break-ins by the illegal Israeli settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Tuesday 23-July-2024

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

The Islamic-Christian Authority for Patronizing Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) and Holy Sites has warned of social media posts belonging to an Israeli extremist Jewish group inciting the illegal settlers to defile Al-Aqsa Mosque en masse to mark what they call “the breach of Jerusalem’s walls.”

In a statement on Tuesday, the Islamic-Christian Authority said it is deeply concerned to see such an unprecedented escalation of Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to impose new fait accompli and change the religious and legal status quo at the Islamic holy site.

The Islamic-Christian Authority urged the Palestinian masses to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque as of today to protect it against intended mass break-ins by the illegal Israeli Jewish settlers.

Palestinian forced to self-demolish his home in Al-Tour, in Al-Quds (occupation Jerusalem)

Al-Quds (occupation Jerusalem), Tuesday, July 24, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime today forced a Palestinian man self-demolish his house in the occupied city of Al-Quds (occupation Jerusalem).

The occupation authorities forced citizen Khaleel Kabaja to demolish his house in the town of Al-Tour, in Al-Quds (occupation Jerusalem), which consists of two floors and is under construction. Otherwise, they will demolish it and force him to pay the demolition costs.

Kabaja pointed out that the occupation stormed the town, closed the surroundings of the house, and prevented journalists and citizens from reaching the area.

The Jerusalem Governorate said in its report last year that the occupation authorities carried out 292 demolition operations in the Jerusalem Governorate, including 73 facilities whose owners were forced to demolish them.

For its part, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission clarified that the occupation authorities demolished 318 facilities in the occupied West Bank during the first half of 2024, and distributed notices to demolish 359 other facilities, and uprooted about 10,000 trees.
