While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Gaza: Death toll surges to 45,097 martyrs

Wednesday 18-December-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The health ministry in Gaza said on Wednesday that the Israeli army committed three massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, and killed and injured at least 241 civilians, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza explained that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but at least 38 martyrs and 203 wounded citizens arrived at hospitals.

The Ministry of Health added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks climbed to 45,097 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 107,244 people.

The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7, 2023.

Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters day 439

Wednesday 18-December-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 439th consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

The Israeli army’s large-scale genocidal campaign in northern Gaza, especially in Jabalya and Bait Lahya, has entered day 75, where its forces continue to intensively bomb homes and shelters and attack civilians while imposing a tight siege on the entire area.

Deliberate Israeli attacks on ambulance and civil defense workers already deprived northern Gaza of any rescue services.

Local sources said that the Israeli army bombed a house in Khuza’a town in eastern Khan Younus, killing three people from the same family, including two women, and injuring a child.

A body of one martyr was also evacuated to the Nasser Hospital as a result of ongoing Israeli bombardment in Rafa'h, south of Gaza.

In northern Gaza, the Israeli army bombed a house in Jabalya Al-Nazla, north of Gaza, killing two civilians and inuring others.

Another Israeli strike on a house near the Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in northern Gaza claimed the lives of 10 people and injuring others.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

In a related context, the health ministry in Gaza said on Wednesday that the Israeli army committed three massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, and killed and injured at least 241 civilians, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

Israeli occupation regime tanks set Kamal 'Udwan Hospital on fire

GAZA, December, 18, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces targeted Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip at dawn on Wednesday, causing a fire inside its intensive care unit.

The director of Kamal 'Udwan Hospital, 'Husam Abu Safiya, said: "We were surprised by the entry of vehicles and bulldozers into the vicinity of the hospital, which was preceded by a terrifying targeting of citizens' homes in the vicinity. We heard gunfire and shells without being able to do anything."

He added in a video recorded from in front of the department from which smoke could be seen: "Sudden and crazy gunfire was fired at the hospital with all kinds of weapons, and the occupation deliberately targeted the intensive care unit by firing at it clearly."

He continued, "We miraculously evacuated the patients who were on ventilators from the intensive care unit and the fire broke out inside it," noting that it is "the only department in the northern Gaza Strip."

Abu Safiya described the situation in the hospital, especially the intensive care unit, as "very catastrophic and still dangerous."

He pointed out that "the workers tried to put out the fire with simple tools, especially since the hospital has been suffering from a water shortage for 8 days after the occupation army targeted the tanks and the water network."

He added, "Now the intensive care unit is out of service and the situation is catastrophic. We have appealed to the world for more than 75 days to provide protection for the health system and its workers, but there is no response."

On a daily basis, the occupation targets Kamal 'Udwan Hospital. Last Monday, Quadcopter drones bombed the electric generators, causing a power outage and damage to the intensive care unit.

One Palestinian injured, others kidnapped in IOFs raids in the West Bank

Wednesday 18-December-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) injured one Palestinian citizen and kidnapped others during raids in the West Bank last night and at dawn Wednesday.

According to local sources, a young man suffered a bullet injury last night during clashes between local youths and Israeli occupation forces in 'Abwein town, west of Ramallah.

The Red Crescent said that one of its ambulance crews provided a young man suffering from a bullet injury with first aid and transferred him to the hospital for medical assistance.

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron), the Israeli occupation forces stormed the towns of Al-Sammou' and Bait Ummar, where they confiscated cars and ransacked several homes.

In Aree'ha (Jericho), the IOFs carried out violent raids on homes and kidnaped two young men from the refugee camps of 'Ain Al-Sultan and Aqabat Jaber.

After their withdrawal from the camps, the IOFs set up checkpoints at the northern and southern entrance of Jericho and restricted the movement of citizens and vehicles.

In Tulkarem, the IOF kidnaped two citizens, including the father of a wanted young man, during a raid in Qaffeen town.

Over 15 Palestinians kidnapped by Israeli occupation forces in West Bank, including former detainees

RAMALLAH, December, 18, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces have kidnapped at least 15 Palestinians from various areas of the West Bank since yesterday evening, continuing their ongoing crackdown on the local population.

According to the Palestinian Authority's Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society, The kidnappings were distributed among the governorates of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Aree'ha (Jericho), Toulkarm, Ramallah, Qalqilya, and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

Among the kidnapped was a woman from Gaza who was in the West Bank for treatment, in addition to children and former detainees. The raids were accompanied by assaults, threats against the kidnapped and their families, and widespread destruction of property, including damage to homes.

This latest wave of detentions is part of Israel's broader campaign of suppression that has escalated sharply since the beginning of its ongoing genocidal onslaught on Gaza in October 2023. Since then, over 12,100 Palestinians have been detained from the West Bank and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), according to local authorities.

The systematic nature of these detentions is a key component of Israeli policy, with large-scale kidnappings being carried out as part of the ongoing military attacks.

It is important to note that the figures provided here refer only to detentions made in the West Bank, not including Gaza, where the number of detentions is also significant.

55 Palestinian workers martyred in the West Bank in 14 months

Wednesday 18-December-2024

NABLUS, (PIC)

The number of Palestinian workers who have been martyred in the West Bank since the start of the Israeli genocidal war against the Palestinian people, on October 7, 2023, has surged to 55 martyrs, according to The General Federation of Palestinian Workers’ Unions.

The Federation added in a statement that the number includes at least 10 martyrs killed near the apartheid separation wall.

It explained that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) target Palestinian workers who have no choice but to work inside 1948 occupied Palestine, and have to cross openings in the separation wall, the latest case of which took place on Tuesday, when two workers were killed in Qalqilya while trying to reach their workplace in 1948 occupied Palestine.

In its statement, the Federation called on international trade union federations to open a probe into the crimes committed against Palestinian workers, especially the systematic killing at checkpoints or openings in the separation wall and even inside 1948 occupied Palestine.

Local sources reported earlier that the IOF executed in cold blood the two young men, Dhiyaa Salmi and Mu'hammed Al-Ashqar, from the city of Qalqilya, while they were heading to their workplace in 1948 occupied Palestine.

World Bank: Israel destroyed 93% of banks in Gaza

Wednesday 18-December-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The World Bank said the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip is pushing the Palestinian territories into an unprecedented financial crisis, estimating that the Palestinian economy lost by a quarter during the current year following a major contraction in 2023, which is “an unprecedented slowdown in recent memory.”

The World Bank explained, in a new report issued on Monday, that the real gross domestic product in the West Bank contracted by 23%, and in the Gaza Strip by 86% in the first half of 2024, expecting the economy in the Palestinian territories to contract by 26% for the entire year 2024.

The bank stressed that the impact of the Israeli war exceeded all previous economic crises in the Palestinian territories over the past two decades, including the second intifada in 2000, the internal division in 2006, the Gaza war in 2014, and the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

It pointed out that the banking sector faces, despite good capital, increasing risks of credit losses, diminishing profits, and practical operational challenges, especially in Gaza, where cash shortages have intensified in the Strip, affecting aid provision, financial transfers, food security, and access to basic services.

The World Bank indicated that the Israeli occupation army destroyed about 93% of bank branches operating in the Strip, 88% of micro finance institutions and most money changers, and 88% of insurance companies during the ongoing war of extermination.

It also reported that only 3 out of 94 ATM machines are operating in the Gaza Strip, according to identical data from the World Bank and the Palestinian Monetary Authority.

The report’s finds out that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip struggle to pay for basic goods and services, including food and medicine.

The destruction of Gaza’s financial infrastructure has severely impacted residents’ ability to afford basic goods and services, including food and medicine.

According to the World Bank, this financial paralysis is hindering private sector efforts to resume production, generate employment, and pay workers’ salaries.

The report also emphasized that the ongoing aggression has disrupted access to financial services in the West Bank, exacerbating the challenges faced by Palestinians.

The World Bank underscored that access to effective financial services is essential for personal economic growth and the country’s economic development, “especially in times of crisis when digital payments can be a lifeline.”

Illegal Israeli settlers raze vast areas of agricultural lands in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, December, 18, 2024 (WAFA) –

a group of the illegal Israeli settlers began razing vast areas of agricultural lands belonging to local residents in Al-Farisiya in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local sources from the area reported that the colonists  brought an agricultural tractor and began razing agricultural lands belonging to citizens in Nabeeh Ghazal in Al-Farisiya, amid attempts by residents to prevent them from doing so.

The illegal Israeli settlers had tried during the past months to seize these lands, but the citizens’ defense of them prevented that.

The settlers annually plow citizens’ lands in different areas in the Palestinian Jordan Valley, under the protection of the occupation army, which means that these citizens lose their lands and one of the most important sources of income.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime opens new detention camps amid rising number of detainees

Wednesday 18-December-2024

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner Society reported that detainees held in the Israeli “Menashe” camp have been carrying out protest steps for several days. Yesterday, they informed their lawyers during a video conference before the Israeli occupation apartheid regime court that they had begun a hunger strike in protest against the difficult and harsh detention conditions they face.

The Commission and the Society said in a joint statement on Wednesday that the number of detainees held in the “Menashe” camp as of yesterday is about 100. They noted that this camp is one of several camps established by the occupation, coinciding with the escalation of arrest campaigns in the West Bank since the onset of the extermination war over 14 months ago. Geographically, it is located north of the West Bank near the “Salem” camp and is administratively under the occupation army, similar to the “Etzion” and “Huwara” detention centers, which were established during the second intifada amid rising arrest campaigns. The occupation later retained these camps for holding new detainees, and they are among the worst detention centers.

In this context, the Commission and the Society highlighted that there are dozens of reports from human rights organizations that have documented over the years the nature of the harsh and degrading detention conditions, which have intensified, after the war, against detainees due to severe torture, specifically in the “Etzion” detention center, which has transformed into a site for torturing and abusing detainees after the war. There are numerous testimonies documenting what detainees experience in the mentioned camp. Since the beginning of the war, the occupation has deliberately held dozens of detainees in “Etzion” for several months, making the detainees’ only wish to be transferred from the camp, which represents a place of humiliation and terror.

One detainee told his lawyer through the court that the camp does not provide warm water, especially in the severe cold, and it lacks a clinic or even a nurse. Some detainees suffer from health issues and have been inside the camp for a while, in addition to suffering from the crime of starvation and a severe shortage of clothing.

The Commission and the Society pointed out that despite numerous calls from specialized institutions to close the “Etzion” and “Huwara” camps, the occupation insists on using them as a station for abusing and torturing detainees, under the management of the occupation army. Today, instead of closing the “Etzion” and “Huwara” camps, the occupation is expanding the network of army camps by establishing new camps like “Menashe,” alongside other camps created for Gaza detainees, such as the “Naftali” camp.

They also noted that since its establishment, the camp administration has imposed significant restrictions and complications on visits for detainees there, allowing visits only once since its establishment. They emphasized that legal efforts are being made by lawyers to improve the conditions of the detainees and convey their demands, as well as to allow visits.

UN: Israel overwhelmingly blocks our efforts to deliver aid to northern Gaza

Wednesday 18-December-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces massive obstruction of the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged northern Gaza Strip in December was reported by the UN on Tuesday.

Citing the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric stated in a news briefing that “UN-led aid missions to the North Gaza governorate continue to be overwhelmingly denied, especially those seeking to reach the besieged areas in Bait Lahya, Bait 'Hanoun and parts of Jabalya.”

“OCHA reports that today, three humanitarian missions planning to bring food and water to parts of besieged North Gaza were once again denied by Israeli authorities,” Dujarric said, adding that “the UN has attempted to reach these besieged areas 40 times, of which 38 attempts were denied and two were impeded” since the beginning of December.

The UN spokesman stressed the need to protect civilians in the north, calling on Israel to meet the “essential needs” of citizens.

“Meeting their essentials also means facilitating the work of the UN and our humanitarian partners, who have been trying to deliver food, water, health and other critical assistance — only to see missions denied or impeded,” he said.

Abu Safiya: World’s indifference to Israel’s crimes in Gaza encourages it to escalate violence

Wednesday 18-December-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Dr. 'Husam Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, said the world’s indifference to the Israeli army’s crimes encourages it to escalate its violence against the Palestinians.

This came after a day Abu Safiya described as one of the bloodiest and most difficult days witnessed in the hospital in which the occupation army stormed the hospital on Tuesday and started opening gunfire and launching artillery shelling directly inside it.

Abu Safiya explained in a press statement on Wednesday that Israeli warplanes targeted the hospital and struck more than eight buildings in its vicinity, adding that some of the wounded came out of an inhabited building that was bombed while their bodies were on fire.

The brutal bombing resulted in the martyrdom of eight individuals, and there are still children trapped under the charred rubble.

He pointed out that “the intensive care unit, located on the western side of the hospital, was directly targeted, starting a fire that forced us to evacuate the patients quickly.”

He noted that the doctors were able to miraculously extinguish the fire with their hands and using blankets due to the lack of firefighting equipment and the cut-off of water supplies.

“We have been appealing to the world for more than 75 days, and nothing has yet been done. This indifference allows the Israeli occupation army to step up its violence, and I fear it will continue to attack other departments, which could lead to the destruction of the hospital before the eyes of the world,” he underscored.

“We currently have 71 injuries, and we have the only intensive care unit in northern Gaza,” he explained.

Lazzarini: No words left to describe the situation in Gaza

Tuesday 17-December-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The Commissioner-General of UNRWA Philippe Lazzarini said on Tuesday that no words are left to describe the situation in Gaza.

“We are running out of words to describe the situation in Gaza, he said.

“Our colleagues describe a post-apocalyptic environment and people are just living among garbage, sewage water, in the rubble, and they are struggling because they are confronted on a daily basis with death, hunger and disease,” he added.

The UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, also described the situation in Gaza as “utterly devastating.”

I have painted a very bleak picture as civilians in Gaza continue to suffer, she said.

Along the same line, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that the conditions in Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip are simply appalling.

WHO and partners reached Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in northern Gaza two days ago, amid hostilities and explosions in the vicinity of the hospital during the mission, he said.

The team delivered 5000 liters of fuel, food and medicines, and transferred 3 patients and 6 companions to Al-Shifa Hospital, he further clarified.

“In the last week, four WHO missions to Kamal 'Udwan have been arbitrarily denied, including the re-deployment of the international emergency medical team, which had self-evacuated from the hospital on 6 December due to hostilities.”

“Hostilities around the hospital continue and recent attacks have further damaged the oxygen supply, generators, and broken windows and doors of the patients’ rooms.”

For over 438 days, the Israeli war machine — armed by the US and some European countries — has been claiming the lives of civilians, including women and children, with no regard for any international resolutions and condemnations.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
