While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

'Hamas: Assassination of Haniyya will only increase our strength

Wednesday 31-July-2024

TEHRAN, (PIC)

The Deputy Chairman of the 'Hamas Movement in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Khaleel Al-'Hayya, said on Wednesday that the Movement’s political chief Isma'eel Haniyya was killed in “a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran”.

This came at a press conference held by the Movement in Tehran on the Israeli assassination of the Palestinian resistance movement’s political bureau chief, Isma'eel Haniyya earlier today.

“Hamas and the Palestinian people will not stop the resistance march,” he stressed, adding, “The resistance vows to respond to this aggression, and the Zionist entity deserves to pay a heavy price for this crime.”

Al-'Hayya also said the missile that killed Haniyya struck him “directly”. As a result of the missile strike, windows, doors and walls in his room were destroyed.

Speaking at a news conference in Tehran, he said that Lebanon and Iran “will never leave this unanswered.”

He said Israel was seeking to “burn the entire region … because they’ve failed to achieve their goals.”

“The Israelis don’t want a deal, they just want to continue their aggression despite all the failure,” Al-'Hayya added.

He also said that Israel “is continually evading an agreement and wants the occupation to remain in place.”

The senior 'Hamas official pointed out that Hamas “will continue its resistance to put an end to the [Israeli] occupation of Palestinian land and to achieve the national goal of establishing an independent Palestinian state.”

“Whoever carries the ['Hamas] banner after Isma'eel Haniyya will tread the same path,” he said.

Solemn funeral procession held for 'Hamas leader Isma'eel Haniyya in Tehran

Thursday 1-August-2024

TEHRAN, (PIC)

A grand state funeral procession was held on Wednesday in the Iranian capital, Tehran, for martyr  Isma'eel Haniyya, head of the Hamas political bureau, who was assassinated yesterday in an Israeli strike on his residence.

Haniyya was assassinated in a strike in Tehran during a visit for the inauguration of newly elected president Masoud Pezeshkian

Earlier in the morning, Iranian news agency IRNA published pictures of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei praying in front of a gathered congregation, which included officials and citizens, at Tehran University in the city center.

Tens of thousands of mourners carrying posters of Haniyya and Palestinian flags gathered for the funeral ceremony at Tehran University before the procession, IRNA said.

Following the prayers, massive crowds accompanied the body of Haniyya and his bodyguard, who was also killed in the strike on Wednesday, and marched to Azadi (Freedom) Square in the city.

Khamenei has already vowed to avenge Haniyya and issued an order to strike the Israeli occupation state directly.

President Masoud Pezeshkian and Revolutionary Guard Corps chief Hussein Salami were present in the funeral ceremony.

During the funeral ceremony, senior Hamas official Khaleel Al-'Hayya vowed that “Ismail Haniyya’s slogan, ‘We will not recognize Israel,’ will remain an immortal slogan” and that the Palestinian resistance “will continue to resist the Israeli occupation until it is uprooted from the land of Palestine.”

Addressing mourners, Iran’s parliament speaker Mu'hammed Ghalibaf said Iran “will certainly carry out the supreme leader’s order (to avenge Haniyya).”

“It is our duty to respond at the right time and in the right place,” he added.

Nasrullah ushers in a new phase, asserts retaliation is inevitable

Al-Mayadeen, August 1, 2024

Sayyid 'Hasan Nasrullah tells Israelis and their backers that they must await Hezbollah's inevitable response to the assassination of Sayyed Fouad Shokor.

Listen

Sayyid 'Hasan Nasrullah gave a live televised speech during the funeral processions of 'Hizbullah's martyred leader Sayyid Fouad Shokr on Thursday, August 1, 2024

The Secretary-General of 'Hizbullah, Sayyid 'Hasan Nasrullah confirmed on Thursday that the Israeli attack on 'Harit 'Huraik in the southern suburbs of Beirut was an aggression targeting civilian buildings and killing civilians, not just an assassination operation.

In a speech delivered at the funeral ceremony of Hezbollah's assassinated top military leader Sayyid Fouad Shokr, Sayyid 'Hasan Nasrullah said that the Israeli regime tried to label its aggression as a "response" to the incident in Majdal Shams.

He reiterated that the Resistance has rejected this accusation and denied responsibility after a thorough investigation, adding that "we have the courage to take responsibility if it was our attack, even if it was a mistake, and we have precedents in this matter."

In this context, Sayyid 'Hasan Nasrullah also emphasized that what the Israeli occupation committed "is not a reaction to what happened in Majdal Shams, but rather a claim, deception, and part of the war and battle," pointing out that the occupation "appointed itself as prosecutor, judge, and executioner."

'Hizbullah's chief pointed out that "Israel cannot accept the hypothesis that the incident in Majdal Shams was due to an Israeli interceptor missile" despite the massive evidence suggesting it, which was even put forward by numerous military experts.

He affirmed that "the aim of accusing the Resistance is to incite sectarian strife between the [Druze] people of the occupied Golan and ['Hizbullah], and behind it the Shiite sect, in order to undermine the most significant achievements of the al-Aqsa Flood" of unity and solidarity among Arabs and people of the region.

With the Israeli assassination of Isma'eel Al-Ghoul and Rami Al-Reefi, the death toll of Palestinian journalists rises to 165

Thursday, 1-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in the Gaza Strip announced that the number of journalist martyrs has risen to 165, after the martyrdom of the journalists Isma'eel Al-Ghoul and Rami Al-Reefi.

In a statement on Wednesday, the PGMO condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists, holding the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for committing such a heinous crime.

The PGMO called on the international community, international organizations, and those concerned with journalistic work in the world to deter Israel and prosecute it in international courts for its ongoing crimes and to pressure it to stop the crime of genocide and the crime of assassinating Palestinian journalists.

The International Federation of Journalists said that “these crimes against media professionals and journalists in Gaza must be stopped immediately.”

“The sooner the International Criminal Court investigates the killing of journalists, the better,” it added in a statement on Wednesday evening.

For its part, the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate condemned “the crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces against a group of colleagues while they were carrying out their professional duty of covering events in the Al-Shati refugee camp in central Gaza, where the Israeli occupation’s war machine directly assassinated the two martyred colleagues Ismail al-Ghoul, correspondent for Al-Jazeera TV, and the cameraman Rami Al-Reefi”.

The Syndicate said in a statement, “This new crime represents a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms that guarantee the protection of journalists and ensure their freedom of work.”

“The Journalists Syndicate holds the occupation forces and their leaders fully responsible for this crime, which comes in the context of escalating assassinations within a systematic policy to suppress the truth and silence the free Palestinian voice,” it added.

The Syndicate called on the international community, the International Federation of Journalists, and human rights and humanitarian institutions to “take immediate and urgent action to condemn this crime and work to provide the necessary protection for Palestinian journalists.”

It also called for an independent international probe into the attack to hold those responsible for these crimes accountable and ensure that they do not evade punishment for their crimes against the Palestinian people.

Earlier on Wednesday, Al Jazeera TV announced the martyrdom of its correspondent in the Gaza Strip, Ismail al-Ghoul, and cameraman Rami Al-Reefi, in an Israeli army bombing that targeted them in Gaza City.

It explained that “an Israeli army drone directly targeted them while they were covering the news from near the home of the Chairman of Hamas Political Bureau, martyr Ismail Haniyya.”

'Hamas condemns killing of two Palestinian journalists

Wednesday 31-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement condemned on Wednesday “the assassination of Al Jazeera TV correspondent in Gaza City, journalist Isma'eel Al-Ghoul, and photographer Rami Al-Reefi, in an Israeli heinous crime that is added to the series of crimes committed by the enemy against Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip.”

“Committing this cowardly crime near the home of the martyred leader Isma'eel Haniyya in Al-Shati refugee camp, while journalists were covering the assassination crime, is a confirmation of the arrogant criminal approach of the enemy.”

'Hamas also offered its deepest condolences to the families of the two journalists, Al Jazeera TV, their colleagues and their loved ones.

“We call on international media institutions to condemn this heinous crime and take serious measures against this fascist entity,” the Movement added.

Al-Ghoul and Al-Reefi were killed in Al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, while reporting from near the house of 'Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyya, who was assassinated earlier in the day.

They were wearing their “press” vests, and their car was clearly marked as a news media vehicle.

Al-Ghoul and al-Rifi were targeted after they finished their coverage. They were on their way to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital after being asked to leave the area by Israeli forces.

Nonetheless, they were attacked in an Israeli air strike on their car in a direct hit that decapitated Al-Ghoul and Al-Reefi

UN: Palestinian detainees subjected to arbitrary detention, torture

Thursday 1-August-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The UN Human Rights Office published a report on Wednesday regarding the arbitrary, prolonged, and incommunicado detention of thousands of Palestinians by Israeli authorities since October 2023, revealing severe testimonies of torture and mistreatment.

The report stated that since Oct. 7, 2023, thousands of Palestinians, including medical staff, patients, residents fleeing conflict, and captured fighters, have been taken from Gaza to Israel, often shackled and blindfolded.

Many more have been detained in the West Bank and Israel without being given reasons for their detention, access to lawyers, or judicial review, the document stressed.

UN Human Rights Chief Volker Turk expressed grave concerns: “The staggering number of men, women, children, doctors, journalists and human rights defenders detained since 7 October, most of them without charge or trial and held in deplorable conditions, along with reports of ill-treatment and torture and violation of due process guarantees, raises serious concerns regarding the arbitrariness and the fundamentally punitive nature of such arrests and detention.”

The report detailed horrifying testimonies of detainees subjected to acts like waterboarding, prolonged blindfolding, deprivation of food and water, electric shocks, and sexual violence.

“The testimonies gathered by my Office and other entities indicate a range of appalling acts, such as waterboarding and the release of dogs on detainees, amongst other acts, in flagrant violation of international human rights law and international humanitarian law,” Turk lamented.

Conditions in military-run detention facilities are reportedly dire, with detainees, including children, “held in cage-like facilities, stripped naked, wearing only diapers,” deprived of basic necessities, and subjected to physical and psychological abuse, including “being subjected to electric shocks and being burnt with cigarettes.”

“International humanitarian law protects all those being held, requiring their humane treatment and protection against all acts of violence or threats thereof,” said Turk.

“International law requires that all those deprived of their liberty be treated with humanity and dignity, and it strictly prohibits torture or other ill-treatment, including rape and other forms of sexual violence,” he stated, adding: “Secret, prolonged incommunicado detention may also amount to a form of torture.”

The official further reiterated calls for the immediate release of all Israeli captives held in Gaza and for the release of all Palestinians arbitrarily detained by Israel.

He underscored the need for independent investigations into all serious violations of international law and accountability for perpetrators.

Euro-Med: the Israeli occupation regime deprives Palestinians in Gaza of getting their cleaning and hygiene needs

Thursday 1-August-2024

GENEVA, (PIC)

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has accused the Israeli occupation regime army of persisting in imposing an inhumane blockade on the Gaza Strip and preventing the entry of humanitarian aid and indispensable needs for the population.

“The Israeli authorities continue to enforce their ongoing arbitrary blockade of the Gaza Strip, refusing to allow humanitarian aid and necessities that are essential for survival — such as cleaning and personal hygiene supplies — into the Strip. This comes amid the spread of infectious diseases and on top of the precarious living conditions faced by the approximately 2.3 million Palestinians in the enclave, constituting a perpetuation of Israel’s comprehensive crime of genocide, which began on October 7, 2023,” Euro-Med said in a statement on Wednesday.

Euro-Med emphasized that “the consequences of Israel’s intentional worsening of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip by blocking people’s access to cleaning and personal hygiene products, medical equipment, and sterilization supplies are dire.”

“Nothing justifies subjecting the population to conditions that can lead to widespread death, including by causing the spread of serious skin diseases and infections, including hepatitis,” Euro-Med added.

“Israel continues to systematically and arbitrarily deny hygiene supplies and equipment to all the Gaza Strip residents, exacerbating the catastrophic health crisis that Israel has caused there. This crisis has been made worse by the population’s exposure to forced, widespread, and repeatedly occurring displacement,” Euro-Med underlined.

“Approximately 680,000 women and girls in the Gaza Strip are of reproductive age. These individuals lack access to menstrual pads and other essentials, and also face other challenges such as inadequate access to water, toilets, various hygiene products, and privacy,” Euro-Med pointed out.

“We do not have the money to buy enough meals for our children, so we cannot buy cleaning materials and soap in light of their high prices and the lack of availability,” a local resident told the Euro-Med team. “My spouse and kids’ hair has been infected with lice, and we all have skin diseases as a result of not washing and not using enough soap and shampoo.”

Tens of thousands of cases of skin diseases, including eczema, have been reported to medical facilities after they have cropped up and spread in shelters and camps for displaced people who live in tents, according to Euro-Med.

“The Israeli authorities have placed an arbitrary and oppressive siege on the Palestinian people there, squeezing them into a tiny area with exceedingly limited resources; denying them access to food, clean water, and other necessities; and leaving them exposed to extreme heat,” Euro-Med said.

“The right to dignity is an internationally recognized human right that protects people from humiliation, among other forms of unethical treatment. It is meant to ensure fairness by providing the means for people to live in dignity, as well as other fundamental needs and rights, like the right to health and the right to water and sanitation. These rights are essential to maintaining human dignity and preserving the lives of the populace.”

“The only way to guarantee the rights of Gaza Strip residents is to put an end to Israel’s crime of genocide, lift the arbitrary siege on the Strip, and rescue what remains of the currently uninhabitable region. Delays will either cause the region to irreversibly deteriorate, or incur significant costs in terms of civilian lives and health,” Euro-Med affirmed.
