"We had good consultations with our friends in Pakistan, and the visit was very successful, thank God. We reviewed what has gone before, and talked about which path and under what circumstances the negotiations can continue. In any case, forty days of heroic resistance of the Iranian people should enable us to restore the rights of the Iranian people and secure the interests of the country.

Regarding his visit to Muscat, the Iranian Foreign Minister said: "  Oman is a friendly and close country of ours, and it has taken very good positions in this war.  It was necessary for us to hold a meeting to expand relations with our neighbors, especially in the Persian Gulf region, so that we could manage the existing problems.

He added: "We and Oman are coastal countries of the Strait of Hormuz, and it was necessary to hold consultations in this regard. Safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz is an important and global issue, and we and Oman, as two countries that oversee this strait, it is necessary to have close coordination to secure common interests. Whatever action is taken in this area, the interests of Iran and Oman are directly involved.

"Thank God, there is a great consensus between us and Oman, and the two sides have agreed to continue consultations at the expert level," he concluded.

Iran has informed mediators of a proposed three-phase framework for negotiations and says talks could resume if the United States agrees to the plan, Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent in Tehran reported.

The proposal, as described by our correspondent, outlines an initial phase focused on ending US-Israeli aggression and securing guarantees that fighting will not resume against Iran and Lebanon. During this stage, Iran would not discuss any other issues, the report said.

The plan envisions coordination with Oman

If agreement is reached on the first phase, discussions would move to a second stage centered on the management of the Strait of Hormuz. The plan reportedly envisions coordination with Oman to establish a new legal framework governing the strategic waterway.

The third phase would address Iran’s nuclear program, which Tehran would only be prepared to discuss after agreements are reached on the first two phases, according to the report.

This is happening as Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has departed for Moscow, leading a diplomatic delegation.

Iranian authorities have rejected reports claiming that Parliament Speaker Mu'hammed Baqir Qalibaf has resigned from leading the country’s negotiation delegation, according to statements carried by Mizan News Agency and cited by officials in parliament’s media center.

The Head of the Parliament’s Communications and Media Centre said there was “no truth” to claims circulating about Qalibaf stepping down from his role in the delegation.

He also stated that no new round of negotiations has been scheduled, and that no individual, Qalibaf or otherwise, has been appointed to head any forthcoming delegation.

The official described the reports as misleading, saying they were intended to distort public opinion, and emphasized that Qalibaf remains fully engaged in his parliamentary responsibilities.
