(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/7/14) -- On Thursday, May 8, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will join the Council of Muslim Organizations (CMO) at a 10 a.m. news conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., to call for the immediate release of almost 300 schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria by the terrorist group Boko Haram.

National and local Muslim organizations will also be present, along with representatives from the National Council of Nigerian Muslim Organizations.

CAIR-OK to Call for Apprehension of Man Who Assaulted Muslim Limo Driver
Pakistani-American driver allegedly punched, told 'go back where you belong'

(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, 5/6/2014) -- On Wednesday, May 7, the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) will hold a news conference in Oklahoma City to call for the swift apprehension of an individual who allegedly assaulted and injured a Muslim limo driver last week after calling him a "terrorist" and telling him to "go back where you belong."

CAIR will also release an audio recording of the alleged assailant telling a dispatcher he did not want "another Pakistani" sent to pick him up.
