Zionist groups brace for loss as Nancy Kaufman prepares
to leave Metro Section, Boston Globe
October 4, 2010, by Steven Rosenberg
THE BOSTON GLOBE Boston, MA
Dear Editor, With Palestinian sympathizers, Kaufman's leaving
should be a grand celebration. This woman has done more harm through fund
raisers, and having paid for our politicians' trips to Israel. We
wonder whether Mayor Menino and other politicians had a chance to see the
dreadful condition of the Palestinians when they were invited to Israel.
Most don't see the truth. Further, they are paid dearly by strictly
pro-Israel PACs, groups mentioned in this writing, to keep their mouths
shut. We pro-Palestinian protesters recall clearly when Kaufman
spoke out on television, calling the Episcopalian ministers, "bigots." They
were merely trying to show (reveal) the Palestinian side of things,
something Kaufman would never do. Great that she is leaving
Massachusetts. New York would be a much better setting for this miscreant.
It's a crude thrust to write that there is any Islamic anti-Semitism,
or even to bring up Islam in this article. The Jewish people, with their
misleading ideology and one-sided love for Israel, have caused much of the
anti-Semitism seen here and in Europe. Goodbye, Nancy! Sincerely,
Paul Bradford Carol Rae Bradford

Chicago Activists Rally to send a U.S. Boat to Gaza and
Oppose FBI Raids
Activists Refuse to be Intimidated
CHICAGO, October 6, 2010 In the aftermath of FBI raids in
Chicago and elsewhere directed at peace activists in Chicago and elsewhere
around the U.S., activists gathered in Chicago on Wednesday, October 6 at
Grace United Methodist Church (3325 W. Wrightwood) to raise funds to send a
U.S. Boat to Gaza as part of the next Gaza Freedom Flotilla (www.ustogaza.org/).
Israel’s military assault on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla earlier this
year has increased international scrutiny of Israel’s illegal siege of Gaza.
Activists internationally are working to send another flotilla to break the
blockade and highlight Israel’s violations of international law before the
end of 2010. One of the speakers was Colonel Ann Wright. Colonel Ann
Wright is a former United States Army colonel and retired official of the
U.S. State Department, known for her outspoken opposition to the Iraq War.
She is most noted for having been one of three State Department officials to
publicly resign in protest of the March 2003 invasion of Iraq. She was a
passenger on the Challenger 1, which, with the Mavi Marmara, was part of the
Gaza Freedom Flotilla that was attacked in international waters while trying
to break the blockade and take humanitarian aid to Gaza. Due to the
recent FBI raids targeting peace and solidarity activists across the U.S., a
member of the legal defense team for Chicago activists will also address the
audience. Perhaps one of the more dramatic points in the program
will take place when Kevin Clark, Midwest coordinator for the Free Gaza
Movement, issues a challenge to those attending the event regarding
responding to intimidation from the FBI and other governmental agencies.
While the program will start at 7:00 PM with musical entertainment, the
news media should plan being present no later than 7:45 PM.

invite you to the
LAUNCHING OF THE ASIA TO GAZA CARAVAN
Tuesday, 5 October 2010, Time: 3pm
Venue: Press Club of India, Raisna Marg, New Delhi (Metro Station: Central
Secretariat)
500 civil resisters from 17 Asian countries are marching to Gaza to
end the illegal Israeli Siege!
As you know, different people's movements across the world are mobilising to
end the blockade of the Gaza Strip and to bring humanitarian aid to the
Palestinian people. We too are committed to and believe that there must be a
strong Asian involvement in the international movement to end the siege of
Gaza and for the liberation of Palestine.
It is in this context that many organisations and individuals in India &
across Asia, have decided to come together to organise an Asian land & sea
convoy to Gaza. This historic convoy will leave from New Delhi in December
and will travel across Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and
ultimately to Gaza-Palestine. The Asian convoy will be joined by delegations
and vehicles in each of the countries through which it passes.
The Asian caravan will include Satyagrahi's or civil resisters from more
than 17 Asian countries - Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria,
Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt. And the list is only growing.
