When Politics Stinks Like A Decayed Fish!

By Ali Al-Hail

ccun.org, October 4, 2008

All of a sudden, we began to hear from both sides of the US House of Representatives, too much waffling   about taxpayers' money, not to be wasted in buying bad debts of collapsing financial institutions. Isn't that, too hilarious? To remind the struggling taxpayer that, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, are still firm, when it comes to her \ his forehead sweat.

Bingo! Arenʼt the all but, $5 trillion that, have been wasted by the Bush administration, since October 7th, 2001-up to God knows, in two frivolous wars in Afghanistan, and Iraq, were literally, robbed from the taxpayer's money?

Where were the House's lords, when the Bush administration bluffed the taxpayer, and decided unilaterally, to burn her \ his money in two meaningless wars on Afghanistan, and Iraq, based on totally, false reasons, as came to be known later on?

One presumes, as do many that, more or less 70% of the taxpayers are not aware of where, or on what their money is spent. In my own experience, I recollect when I was at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and St. Paul, as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar, in the period between 1998-1999, I asked one of my politics's students, while Iraq was being heavily, bombed by the Clinton administration, whether he knew Saddam Hussein. Believe it or not, he didn't albeit, his parents, amongst millions of taxpayers, whose money had funded that brutal bombing.
