Dahr Jamail Speaks About Iraq at KSU Today, October 25 2008

 

KSU Peace and Justice Coalition and Iraq Veterans Against the War will be hosting a presentation by Dahr Jamail, one of few unembedded journalists to cover the invasion and occupation of Iraq!   

 Jamail has written numerous articles for the Nation, the Guardian, the Independent, Al-Jazeera and several other news agencies, and regularly contributes to Democracy Now! 

 Having spent eight months in occupied Iraq, Jamail offers first hand accounts of the hardships and atrocities faced by Iraqis.  His stop at KSU is part of the Resisting Empire Tour, sponsored by IVAW and Haymarket Books, and will begin at 5:30 pm is Social Science room 2036.   

Copies of his book, Beyond the Green Zone as well as DVDs of the Winter Soldier Testimonies will be available for sale, and donations are greatly encouraged, as Jamail has agreed to come here free of charge.
