We the American people oppose
the unconditional support of Israel

Dear soon to be President Obama:
Congratulations on your latest millstone of having secured in
essence the democratic party nomination for the Office of U.S.
Presidency.
As we look forward and beyond the January 2009 inaugurations, may
I gently remind you of the following observations that encapsulate
the pulse of the nation:
We, the American people are tired of the one-sided foreign
policies of the of the past six decades, especially with respect to
the Middle East that has tarnished our otherwise reputable
credibility worldwide;
We the American people oppose the unconditional support of Israel
through our taxes by paying $12 billion annually, yes with the "B";
We the American people reaffirm our commitment to Israel's
security anchored on justice and peace, and not on belligerent
expansionist and militaristic policies.
You are the candidate of the CHANGE, in response to the American
people desiring CHANGE and they said yes we can. I have-been in
three of your rallies two in PA and one KY and have staunchly
remained an advocate at the grassroots level.
You don't owe it to AIPAC or any corporate entity or third
nations, but you do owe it to the American people, as there is no
reason to bring despair to us the American people by attending
Israeli forums like the AIPAC and the politicized Synagogue in
Florida, to appease to a country of four millions at the expense
of compromising the Nobel message of CHANGE for us the American
people.
We the American people are baffled to see you changing your
promise down to the level of Hillary Clinton and John McCain, or
worse yet George Bush the worst President in the US history ever.
May we assure you that despite your patronizing them, you will
not get ONE Jewish vote, yes NOT even ONE vote anywhere?
If you weren't watching CNN the other night saying NJ Jewish
vote goes to McCain, I assure you NY or CA and all fifty States NO
Jew is going to vote for you, whether you promise to AIPAC or not.
In the old Washington Establishment for the past six decades
politicians the question to ask is what has AIPAC done for the
American people, except to use our tax leupools and divert monies to
Israel what to do? In the forwarded article referring to John
McCain's obsequious of AIPAC, but you don't need to bring yourself
down to his level.
You will be the victim of 2008, you need to be you and not an old
establishment milder tone of George Bush.
Ronald Reagan won the election on the basis of Jimmy Carter's
animosity with Iran, but of course AIPAC changed him to humiliate
Iran and Iranians, and bypassing Iran from any peace treaty.
Iran is the super power of the Middle East and you need to fully
understand that and come to terms with it for the region, that for a
lasting peace in Middle East, and an exit strategy from Iraq, and
not confrontation with Iran is the solution. Iran is not Afghanistan
and Iran is not Iraq.
Yours truly,
Bagher R. Harand
