Iranophobia Must Be Condemned By Mohammed Khaku ccun.org, June 10, 2008
It is hypocritical of the editorial and the lawmaker to remain silent to the murderous speeches, racism and bigotry shown by Sen. Hilary Clinton, Sen. McCain, Republican party, Talk show host and Pastors like John Hagee and Rod Parsley. It is provocative, unwarranted and irresponsible for Sen. Hilary Clinton saying US will obliterate Iran, McCain says bomb, bomb, bomb Iran, talk show hosts call for the blood of Muslims and Republican Party leaders call for "nuking" Muslims holy sites. While fundamentalist Pastor John Hagee says Holocaust fulfilled biblical prophesies and Hitler was doing God's work. And Pastor Hagee in his The Jerusalem countdown argues for a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Iran to fulfill God's plan and call Catholic Church the "great whore" of a "false cult". While Televangelist Rod Parsley call for eradicating the "false religion" - Islam. These hate speeches and sermons by the fundamentalists Pastors and lawmakers are never being condemn or repudiated, but on the contrary they have been given welcome trips to Israel, embraced by Whitehouse and given platform at conventions and graduation ceremonies. These politician and Pastors are allowed to foment hate against Muslims, Catholics and others. Often they are welcome as best politician and "man of God". But, when it comes to the President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad he is unconditionally condemned for his holocaust statements. However, how many people really KNOW and understand what Ahmadinejad actually said instead of blindly following media and pro-Israel spin-doctors. These are the same spin-doctors who took us to war in Iraq on false intelligence and outright lie. Iran's president has never threatened to destroy Israel nor has he said, "Israel must be wiped of the map". These are the rumor of the century and the neo-cons and Zionist are milking the quote the misquote. This infamous remark was itself a quote of late Ayatollah Khomeni, the father of the Islamic revolution. So what did President Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote exact word-by-word translation is as follows: Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shaved (vanish from).. (Full transcript of the speech archived on Ahmadinejad's website) In short what Ahmadinejad said was " Just as the White South African regime was vanish, so must the Zionist regime occupying Jerusalem. Ahmadinejad did not refer Israel the country or did he mention map (nagsheh) and nor was the English phrase "wiped out" ever said. Yet we are led to believe that Iran's president threatened to "wipe Israel off the map". Despite he never having spoken the words "map", "wipe out" or even "Israel." Then, why is that much hatred against Iran? When Iran has never invade any country nor has bomb any country. When we talk of regime-change in White house of Iran or Venezuela. Are we calling for the killing of all the worker at the white house, Iranians or Venezuelans? No all we are calling for is the new administration. But what bothers me is how many politicians, lawmakers, editorial and church leaders have condemn or protested these outrageous statement.. Z.E.R.O., not a single one condemnation that I have seen in Morning Call.
