Genocide and Genocide Denial
By Gabriele Zamparini

"Recent public debate has rather focused on the number of deaths we don’t record, and how much of an undercount that might be. Our own view is that the current death toll could be around twice the numbers recorded by IBC and the various official sources in Iraq. We do not think it could possibly be 10 times higher." - Iraq Body Count [John Sloboda, Josh Dougherty, Hamit Dardagan]

And you? Where do you stand?

The lancet figures are not established fact. They are an extrapolation of a sample. They are also very plausible in my opinion and I disagree with IBC about the scale of their undercount.
To accuse the IBC of 'genocide denial' though is hysterical ,strident, and factually wrong. We do not know what the true extent of the deaths in Iraq has been. We know the minimum number, thanks to the IBC. We also have some credible estimates as to the upper estimate. But we do not know.
Not only that, but the JHU surveys are not the upper figure on this. Other surveys, for example by Gideon Polya, put the figure far higher. I don't think they're plausible and think the JHU figures more likely. Does that make me a 'genocide denier' too?

Thanks for your fight to reveal the truth.
I strongly believe that genocide has to do with numbers and the intent to to destroy and kill.
Yet, i agree with you, the number of Iraqis killed by the "depleted uranium" civilization(s) is much closer to 1 million+. I know that from Iraqi friends and families who live in Iraq and know the real truth.
