Obituary: Paul Tibbets, Jr., 92, Piloted Enola Gay B-29 Over Hiroshima, the Manhattan Project By Carol Rae Bradford ccun.org, November 6, 2007
As Scott Ritter said as part of a speech given to students at Deerfield Academy: War is MURDER. So Tibbets passed away with nary a thought of the murderous beginnings of nuclear war. A "military celebrity" indeed. He "expressed little remorse." It is well known that we were beating Japan, anyway. Then, why? With a one-button push, there went the city of Hiroshima near the end of World War II. But Tibbets also committed murder in Germany and in occupied France, leading a dozen B-17 Flying Fortresses into these areas, including North Africa. It wasn't a mere six million affected by this cold and evil choice for Japan; far more; it was to affect woman's ovaries and men’s and children’s health for generations, bringing in more vile and cancerous diseases. Close details of this horror can be seen now--with revulsion. The mushroom cloud alone, in its fierce details, is a familiar mark--cemented--into our minds. One would easily bet there’s something created in the present that would knock out our entire planet. Thank the powerful vote of the Zionist Christians for that one. If we allow their generous pro-war vote to continue, we’ll have our End Time just for them. Our government teaches us that to murder to 'protect' our country, is perfectly OK. We teach our people "It's OUR country. We're the good people. God is on our side." Ditto: Hitler's government - OK to get rid of England and France and Czechoslovakia and more. Ditto: Italy's leader, Mussolini. And now we tell lies about Iran just to push for another war:: to 'protect' our country, nee Israel. We've got to go in and murder the "other" in just the same way we have done in Afghanistan, in Lebanon, in Syria, in the Gaza Strip (removing their means to heat and cooking), and in Iraq. Our fingers are in every fruitful pie - just for greed, domination and oil. Holocausts and ethnic genocides abound, all around us. Do we hear and read about the near 60 million people that died as a result of World War II, not only from camps, but from disease, torture, starvation, bombing, and other reasons? No. Do the citizens in Middle Eastern countries deserve to be bombed and forced out of their homes? Never. Did the Japanese people deserve what their leaders and ours brought about? Certainly not. Do we hear and read daily about the "More Than 100,000 (one-button-shot) in Japan?" No. Further, should Paul Tibbets, Jr., and the makers of the Manhattan Project rest in peace? Decidedly, NO! |
