While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

'Hamas lauds decisions taken by Arab summit

Wednesday 5-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement has welcomed the holding of the extraordinary Arab summit in Cairo to discuss the dangers facing the Palestinian people and their national cause in light of the Israeli attempts to displace them from their land.

In a statement on Tuesday evening, Hamas considered the Cairo summit an “advanced stage of the Arab and Islamic support for the just Palestinian cause.”

Hamas appreciated the statements made by the participating leaders and officials at the Cairo summit, saying the attendees highlighted their countries’ rejection of the Israeli plans to displace the Palestinian people and seize their land and reaffirmed their support for the legitimate Palestinian rights.

Hamas also applauded the Gaza reconstruction plan endorsed by the Arab summit in its final statement, calling for providing the means to ensure its success.

Hamas affirmed its support for any step that serves the Palestinian people’s interests and redresses the impacts of the Israeli aggression and genocidal war on the Palestinian people and their land.

Hamas announced its support for the Arab summit’s decision to form a community support committee responsible for running the affairs of Gaza, including relief and reconstruction efforts.

The Movement called for necessarily taking concrete steps to pressure the Israeli occupation government to respect its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and allow the entry of aid to the Gaza Strip.

According to the summit’s final statement, the Arab leaders issued a warning that any attempts to displace the Palestinian people or to annex any part of the occupied Palestinian territories would lead the region into a new round of conflict, undermine opportunities for stability, and expand the conflict to other countries in the region.

The Arab leaders pledged to provide all types of financial, material, and political support for the implementation of the reconstruction plan, urging the international community to promptly provide the necessary support for the plan, according to the statement.

The Arab leaders also emphasized the urgency of implementing the second and third phases of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, stressing the need for both parties to abide by their obligations, particularly the Israeli side, to achieve a permanent cessation of “aggression” against Gaza.

They demanded that Israel must completely withdraw from the Gaza Strip, including the Philadelphia corridor between Gaza and Egypt, and ensure safe, adequate, and immediate access to humanitarian, shelter, and medical aid without obstacles.

The Arab leaders vowed to work on establishing a trust fund to receive financial pledges from all donor countries and funding institutions to carry out recovery and reconstruction projects in Gaza.

France, UK, Germany call on Israel to ensure free flow of aid to Gaza

Wednesday 5-March-2025

LONDON, (PIC)

France, the United Kingdom and Germany Wednesday urged Israel to ensure the “unhindered” delivery of humanitarian supplies to the war-ravaged Palestinian territory of Gaza, warning against using aid as a “political tool.”

“We call on the government of Israel to abide by its international obligations to ensure full, rapid, safe and unhindered provision of humanitarian assistance to the population in Gaza,” the countries said in a joint statement.

“A halt on goods and supplies entering Gaza such as that announced by the government of Israel would risk violating international humanitarian law,” they said.

“Humanitarian aid should never be contingent on a ceasefire or used as a political tool.”

The three European nations described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as “catastrophic.”

A fragile ceasefire since January 19 saw an influx of humanitarian aid into Gaza, before Israel on Sunday announced it was blocking deliveries in violation of the truce agreement.

UNICEF warns of severe consequences for children and families in desperate need

Wednesday 5-March-2025

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)

UNICEF has warned that the stoppage of aid deliveries into the Gaza Strip will quickly lead to devastating consequences for children and families across Gaza who are struggling to survive.

“The aid restrictions announced yesterday will severely compromise lifesaving operations for civilians,” said Edouard Beigbeder, UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa. “It is imperative that the ceasefire – a critical lifeline for children – remains in place, and that aid is allowed to flow freely so we can continue to scale up the humanitarian response.”

“While the ceasefire has allowed us to significantly expand lifesaving aid, the level of devastation in Gaza is beyond catastrophic,” said Beigbeder. “The ceasefire must hold, and more aid must be allowed in to prevent further suffering and loss of life.”

Despite the increase in humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip, conditions for children remain extremely dire, UNICEF said in a statement.

“Seven newborn babies reportedly died from hypothermia over the past week because they lacked access to sufficiently warm clothes and blankets, shelter, or medical care. These preventable deaths are heartbreaking and serve as a stark reminder that more aid is desperately needed.”

“Children and families across Gaza are struggling to survive without enough food, medicine, or shelter. And with 19 out of 35 hospitals only partially functioning, the health system has been stretched far beyond its limits.”

Rights organizations warn of catastrophic repercussions of Israeli starvation policy in Gaza

Wednesday 5-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Human rights organizations warned on Wednesday against the Israeli blocking of Gaza crossings for the fourth consecutive day, preventing delivery of food, fuel, and other aid supplies to more than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, stressing that the closure comes as part of Israel’s “starvation policy”.

The Norwegian Refugee Council’s Communications Adviser in Palestine, Shaina Low, said that there is no major stockpile of tents in Gaza for Palestinians to rely on during the aid freeze. The aid that came in during the ceasefire’s first phase was “nowhere near enough to address all of the needs,” she said.

“If it was enough, we wouldn’t have had infants dying from exposure (to cold) because of lack of shelter materials and warm clothes and proper medical equipment to treat them,” she said.

“We are trying to figure out, what do we have? What would be the best use of our supply?” said Jonathan Crickx, chief of communication for UNICEF.

“We never sat on supplies, so it’s not like there’s a huge amount left to distribute,” he added, predicting a “catastrophic result” if the freeze continues.

During the ceasefire’s first phase, humanitarian agencies rushed in supplies and quickly ramped up their capabilities. Aid workers set up more food kitchens, health centers and water distribution points.

With more fuel coming in, they were able to double the amount of water drawn from wells, according to the UN humanitarian coordination agency, OCHA.

The United Nations and associated nongovernmental organizations brought in around 100,000 tents as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians tried to return to their homes, only to find them destroyed or too damaged to live in.

The International Organization for Migration now has 22,500 tents sitting in its warehouses in Jordan, after supply trucks brought back their undelivered cargo once entry was barred, said Karl Baker, the agency’s regional crisis coordinator.

For his part, Bob Kitchen, vice president of the Emergencies and Humanitarian Action Department, said, “The International Rescue Committee has 6.7 tons of medicines and medical supplies waiting to enter Gaza, the delivery of which is now “highly uncertain”.

“It’s imperative that aid access is now immediately resumed. With humanitarian needs sky-high, more aid access is required, not less,” Kitchen added.

Medical Aid for Palestinians said it has trucks stuck at the border carrying medicine, mattresses, and assistive devices for people with disabilities, but they don’t have stock that can be used during a long closure of Gaza.

The UN’s humanitarian office also said prices of vegetables and flour soar following the closure of the crossings.

Last Sunday, Israeli occupation authorities decided to freeze the entry of all humanitarian aid to Gaza, closing crossings with the Strip, claiming that Hamas rejected a proposal to extend the first phase of the three-stage agreement for another 42 days.

Hamas demands that the occupation authorities be obligated by the stipulated ceasefire agreement announced on January 19, and called on the mediators to start immediately the negotiations of the second stage, including the Israeli withdrawal from the Strip and ending the war.

Last Saturday evening, the first stage of the ceasefire agreement ended, while negotiations for the second stage were supposed to start on the 16th day of the first stage on February 3.

Since ceasefire came into force on January 19, the Israeli occupation has committed hundreds of violations, which led to more than 117 martyrs and hundreds of wounded, as well as the failure to implement the human protocol.

Gaza: Citizens injured in Israeli drone attack, death toll climbs to 48,440

Wednesday 5-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A group of Palestinian citizens were injured on Wednesday evening by Israeli drone fire in Bait 'Hanoun town in the northern Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that an Israeli drone bombed a group of citizens who were on a road in the east of Bait 'Hanoun.

Since the ceasefire agreement took effect in Gaza on January 19, 2025, the Israeli occupation army has committed 962 violations, including attacks that claimed the lives of 98 civilians and injured 490 others.

The first phase of the ceasefire agreement came to an end last Saturday evening. Negotiations on the second stage were supposed to begin 16 days after the start of stage one, but this did not happen. Like stage one, stage two is also meant to be completed within 42 days.

Under stage two, the Israeli occupation regime will have to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and accept a permanent ceasefire.

The Palestinian resistance will also hand over more captives — living or dead — if the Israelis agree to engage in talks over the remaining stages of the agreement.

In a related context, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received, in the past 24 hours, the bodies of 30 martyrs, who were reported missing during the war.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, on Wednesday, four citizens were also killed in fresh Israeli attacks and another one succumbed to injuries he had sustained during the war.

The new fatalities increased the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which started on October 7, 2023, to 48,440 martyrs, the health ministry stated.

The Ministry added that the number of the wounded also surged to 111,845 people after 10 citizens were injured during Israeli attacks or by unexploded ordnance during the past hours.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to recover the bodies of more martyrs who are still missing in different areas of the Gaza Strip.

IOFs assassinate QB commander in Jineen

Wednesday 5-March-2025

Jineen, (PIC)

Aysar Al-Sa'di, commander of Al-Qassam Brigades of 'Hamas in Jineen, was martyred at dawn Tuesday during armed clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) in the eastern neighborhood of Jineen City.

The Israeli occupation army announced that its forces assassinated Al-Sa'di and another young man and seized their bodies during a raid in the eastern neighborhood of Jineen.

The Israeli occupation army also said that it arrested three young men during the events in the same area.

For its part, 'Hamas mourned martyr Al-Sa'di, saying he was one of the prominent commanders of its armed wing in Jineen.

In a statement, 'Hamas affirmed that the assassination of Al-Sa'di would not stop the rising tide of Palestinian resistance in the occupied territories, stressing that it would remain adherent to the resistance option until the removal of the Israeli occupation from the Palestinian land.

Palestinian sustains injury from Israeli occupation army gunfire in southern West Bank

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), March 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

A Palestinian Wednesday sustained an injury from Israeli army gunfire in the Al-'Arroub refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli occupation forces opened barrages of live ammunition and tear gas canisters toward local protestors in the course of confrontations, hitting a young man with live ammunition in the hand and lower extremities and causing dozens to suffocate from excessive tear gas inhalation.

He added that the suffocation casualties received treatment at the scene.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without a search warrant whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

Several Palestinians injured in Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Wednesday 5-March-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Several Palestinians were injured in an Israeli military raid into Al-Khaleel (Hebron) and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), including a journalist, on Wednesday evening.

A young man was shot by live fire in his lower limbs and hand, while dozens of others suffered from tear gas inhalation problems after the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) stormed the Al-'Arroub refugee camp north of Al-Khaleel (Hebron) amid heavy fire of teargas bombs.

In Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the Israeli forces brutally attacked a group of journalists after breaking into Rafat town, injuring one of them.

During the attack, the journalist Yousuf Shi'hada sustained head injuries while fleeing the scene. He was later transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The attack came shortly after the journalists covered the Israeli demolition of a house belonging to prisoner Hayil 'Eisa Dhayfullah.

Since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the IOFs and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), killing 930 Palestinians and injuring nearly 7,000 others. 14,500 Palestinians were also arrested during the same reported period.

IOFs raid West Bank areas, attack local residents

Wednesday 5-March-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) carried out overnight raids and attacks in different West Bank areas, while a horde of extremist settlers stormed a Bedouin community in northern Jericho.

According to local sources, the IOFs stormed Baqa Al-Sharqiya town in northern Toulkarm and embarked on intercepting cars for security checks.

Israeli occupation forces also stormed Ni’leen town in western Ramallah and launched a teargas attack on participants in a nightly soccer league organized by local residents every night, forcing them and many citizens who attended to watch the game to leave the field.

In Nablus, the IOFs swooped on the towns of 'Odala and Qabalan while firing tear gas canisters and stun grenades, provoking clashes with local residents.

In southern Bethlehem, several citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during an IOFs raid in Al-Khadir town.

In a separate incident, a horde of  the illegal armed Israeli settlers raided the Bedouin community of 'Ain Al-'Auja in northern Jericho and moved around its homes, which caused panic among the local residents.

Israeli occupation forces deploy armored vehicles in Toulkarm governorate

TULKARM, March 5, 2025 (WAFA) -

Israeli occupation forces Wednesday evening deployed armored vehicles in the northern occupied West Bank governorate of Toulkarm, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that just before the Iftar time, two “Eitan” armored vehicles made their way from the 'Einav checkpoint, at the eastern entrance of 'Anabta, and entered the town, motoring along the main road, intercepting vehicles and putting then civilians’ lives at risk.

He added that two other armored vehicles entered the city from the Jubara military checkpoint, south of the city, proceeding towards the Shoabaki junction before making their way to the village of Shoafa.

This deployment coincided with the deployment of Israeli military reinforcements, including vehicles and infantry units, in Toulkarm city and the adjoining refugee camps.

This also came as the Israeli aggression on the city and the refugee camps entered the 38th consecutive day, which resulted in extensive destruction of infrastructure and public and private property, including houses, facilities, and shops.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses reported that Israeli patrols consisting of patrols were deployed in the various neighborhoods of the Toulkarm refugee camp, particularly in the Al-Matar neighborhood, where they ransacked several houses.

They added that the gun-toting soldiers ordered three families to leave their houses before 10 PM, citing their proximity to military barracks established in the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Israeli military bulldozers demolished houses in the Al-Hamam neighborhood of the camp, reducing them to rubble.

Hundreds of Palestinians forced to break their fast at checkpoint near Nablus

NABLUS, March 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

Hundreds of Palestinians observing the holy month of Ramadan were forced to break their fast at the Beit Furik military checkpoint, east of the occupied city of Nablus, according to local sources.

They said that hundreds of Palestinians broke their fast at the checkpoint while waiting in long queues due to the tightening of movement restrictions by the occupation forces.

The occupation forces have been tightening military measures across the occupied West Bank since hours after the release of the first batch of Palestinian prisoners as part of the Gaza ceasefire went into effect, dismembering and isolating cities and governorates one from the other using military gates, barriers, and concrete blocks.

They have severely restricted Palestinians’ freedom of movement within the occupied West Bank through a complex combination of approximately 898 fixed and flying checkpoints and gates, including 18 gates that have been installed since the start of 2025 and 146 others installed in the aftermath of October 7, 2023, settler-only roads, over 200 military bases, and various other physical obstructions.

The Israeli military measures are in parallel with ongoing attacks by Israeli colonists across the West Bank to terrorize Palestinians and displace them from their lands to seize them and build illegal Jewish colonies that separate Palestinian communities.

Closures besides other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench the Israeli 58-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.

Several Palestinians suffocate in Israeli army raid in southern West Bank town

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), March 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

Several Palestinians Wednesday evening suffocated in an Israeli army raid in Al-Khadir town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that the occupying forces barged their way into the town, deploying along Al-Quds-Al-Khaleel (Jerusalem-Hebron) Road and at Al-Bawwaba area and firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters toward civilians’ houses and stores, resulting in several suffocation cases.

IOFs to raze 17 Palestinian homes in Nour Shams refugee camp

Wednesday 5-March-2025

TOULKARM, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) notified on Wednesday Palestinian citizens of its intent to demolish 17 homes in Nour Shams refugee camp, east of Toulkarm, bringing the total number of homes demolished or slated for demolition to 28.

Local official Nihad Al-Shaweesh reported that the IOFs intends to demolish these homes in Al-Manshiya neighborhood at the pretext of opening a new dirt road through the camp for military purposes.

The mass demolition of homes in Nour Shams camp to create new routes is fundamentally altering the camp’s landscape and geography, coming at the cost of dozens of homes that have stood for many years, according to Al-Shaweesh.

The Israeli army gave the owners two and a half hours, starting at 11:00 a.m. today, to enter the camp and collect their belongings from their homes.

Several days ago, the Israeli army demolished 11 homes in the camp under the pretext of cutting a path through the camp starting from its main square to Al-Manshiya neighborhood.

Since it started its operation in Nour Shams refugee camp 25 days ago, the Israeli army has been raiding homes, kidnaping and displacing local residents, and wreaking havoc on public and private property.

The Israeli army also maintains a tight siege on the camp, depriving the families who remained in their homes of food, water, medications and baby formula.

Over 9,000 residents, including elderly and sick people, were forced by the Israeli army to leave their homes in the camp, mainly in the neighborhoods of Al-Maslakh, Al-Manshiya, Jabal Al-Sali'heen, and Al-Nasir.

Israel’s large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank is widely believed to be aimed at ethnically cleansing the Palestinian people from their areas, especially refugee camps.

The operation started in the Jineen refugee camp on January 21 and has since expanded to Toulkarm City, the refugee camps of Toulkarm and Nour Shams, and al-Fari’ah refugee camps.

Illegal Israeli settlers raid Bedouin village near Aree'ha (Jericho)

Aree'ha (Jericho), March 5, 2025 (WAFA) -

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers raided Wednesday 'Arab Al-Mulai'hat village in the Ma'arjat area, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Aree'ha (Jericho), according to a local activist.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that a group of colonizers broke into and ransacked a sheep pen belonging to a local shepherd.

He added that the colonizers roamed among the villagers’ dwellings, spreading panic among the community.

He stressed that these raids were an integral part of an integrated plan aimed at targeting Bedouin communities through continuous restrictions as a prelude to stealing their land and displacing them to make room for settler-colonialism.

According to the Applied Research Institute of Jerusalem (ARIJ), 'Arab Al-Mulai'hat come originally from Al-Naqab (Negev); people of this area were forcefully expelled to live in different places of the West Bank due to their nomadic nature.  In the mid-eighties, people of Al-Mulai'hat were sent out from Al-Irqa area to Mughair Al-Dair, which is only 7 km away from it, claiming the area a military closed zone by Israel.

The Israeli occupation forces destroy two homes in Al-Khaleel (Hebron), plan to expand the illegal Israeli settlements in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Wednesday 5-March-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces, on Wednesday morning, detonated the homes of martyr Mu'hammed Mousa and prisoner A'hmed Al-Haimuni in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) City in the southern West Bank.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces besieged the two homes in the city and forced their residents to leave before planting explosives in their interior walls and blowing them up.

Martyr Mousa and prisoner Al-Haimouni carried out a shooting operation on October 1st last year in Tel Aviv, which resulted in the killing of seven Israelis.

In another context, the Hebrew media said that the Israeli municipality and its planning and construction committee in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) would discuss and approve on Wednesday a plan to build over 1,000 housing units and other projects for Jewish settlers on annexed Palestinian lands in the holy city.

According to the plan, 380 settler homes, one school, two religious institutions, and several commercial facilities will be built in the illegal settlement of Nof Zion in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber.

The Israeli plan also includes the construction of 650 settler homes in the area between the illegal Israeli settlements of Har Homa and Ramat Rachel, near the Palestinian town of Soor Bahir in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

Israeli authorities demolish homes in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), in the first  day of Ramadhan

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), March 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli human rights organization Ir Amim said that the Israeli occupation authorities demolished homes in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) during the first week of the holy month of Ramadan, “a month during which Israel had previously refrained from carrying out demolitions due to its religious sensitivity.”

Over the past week, the occupation demolished four buildings, a residential home in the town of Bait 'Hanina and three apartments in the town of Al-'Eisawiya. The demolitions included the destruction of a residential apartment that housed farmers, in addition to agricultural facilities, fences and doors. This caused six families to lose their livelihood, and the initial economic damage is estimated at more than two million dollars.

According to Ir Amim data, 2024 witnessed a 14% increase in home demolitions in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) compared to 2023. Since the beginning of 2025, 46 buildings have already been demolished – and indications are that this phenomenon is on the rise.

“For the first time, Israel is violating a long-standing tradition and carrying out demolitions during the month of Ramadan, a holy month for millions of Muslims around the world,” said Aviv Tatarsky, a researcher at the organization. “This is a dangerous precedent that deepens the suffering of East Jerusalem residents, who are forced to build without permits due to Israel’s discriminatory planning policy.”

He added, “Instead of harsh demolitions, it is time to develop master plans that allow Palestinians to obtain legal building permits.

The occupation authorities pursue a policy of demolishing Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem, as part of punitive measures aimed at forcible displacement, ethnic cleansing, and Judaizing the city. These measures are justified with flimsy pretexts, such as building without permits, despite the occupation’s strict restrictions that make obtaining permits almost impossible.

During the month of February, the Jerusalem Governorate monitored (31) demolition and bulldozing operations, including (6) forced self-demolition operations, where Palestinians were forced to demolish their homes to avoid paying heavy fines, (18) demolition operations using military vehicles, and (7) bulldozing operations targeting lands and streets.

Israeli occupation forces demolish a house near Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), March 5, 2025 (WAFA) -

Israeli occupation forces Wednesday demolished a house in the village of Rafat, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to local sources.

They told WAFA that the Israeli occupation forces escorting a bulldozer stormed the village and surrounded the house of Hayil 'Eisa Dhaiuallah, a 58-year-old detainee, before the heavy machinery tore it down, reducing it to rubble.

They noted that the occupation forces attacked journalists at the scene, firing tear gas canisters directly at them to obstruct reporting of the demolition.

The heavily armed soldiers chased journalists, causing Yousuf Shi'hada, a journalist, to sustain an injury in the head due to falling.

Dhaifullah was arrested after being shot by the occupation forces near the Givat Assaf colony, east of Ramallah, on September 11 of last year.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime to seize 300 dunums of Palestinian land, west of Jineen

Wednesday 5-March-2025

Jineen, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime notified of the seizure of 300 dunums of land from the village of 'Arqa, west of Jineen in the northern West Bank, adjacent to the separation wall.

The head of the village council in 'Arqa stated that the occupation forces delivered notices to citizens regarding the seizure of 300 dunums of their agricultural land adjacent to the wall, depriving farmers of their only source of livelihood.

Since the establishment of the separation wall on the western side of Jineen governorate in 2002-2003, the occupation authorities have linked the settlements of (Shaked, Hananit, Rehan, Tal Menashe) into one settlement bloc called “Rehan Bloc,” connecting it via main roads to the settlements of “Miyami” and “Katzir,” located in the territories occupied in 1948, which quickly became a large settlement conglomerate.

Last year, 1,100 dunums of land from the western region in Ya’bad, adjacent to the Harimish settlement, were confiscated to expand it and build new settlement units.

Since 2022, the restrictions imposed by the occupation forces on the entire Jenin governorate have intensified, with a clear focus on settlement expansion in the villages of the governorate. Israel has also attempted to return to some settlements that were evacuated, such as the Homesh settlement near the town of Silat Al-Dthahr south of Jineen, which was evacuated in 2005.

With the onset of the Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip, land seizures and confiscations in the West Bank have significantly increased. According to estimates by the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Authority, the occupation authorities confiscated 27,000 dunums of land in the West Bank during the past year 2024, marking the largest land theft operation of Palestinian land in three decades.

Palestinian detainees in Etzion prison deprived of taking baths for 40 days

Wednesday 5-March-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission said the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli Etzion prison are held under awful detention conditions, noting that the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons reached more than 9,500 by early March.

The Commission reported in a statement on Wednesday that the number of detainees in Etzion jail surged to 110 prisoners from different areas of the West Bank.

The Commission’s lawyer reported that the prison administration has intensified suppression operations against the detainees, reaching three times a week and targeting three to four rooms each time.

She added that the detainees have not had hot water to bathe for 45 days, under the pretext of the lack of diesel required to heat water, and accordingly most of them have not bathed for more than 40 days.

The Commission explained that during Ramadan the detainees were provided with only three slices of bread and a small spoon of jam or a small pot of yogurt for the Su'hour meal, allocated for 12 detainees, noting that all the detainees who were visited by the lawyer were subjected to brutal beatings upon their arrest.

On the other hand, the Commission stated that the number of detainees in Israeli occupation prisons surged to more than 9,500 by March this year, including 350 children, 21 women, and 3,405 administrative detainees.

It explained that the number of Gaza detainees recognized by Israeli prison administration is 1,555 detainees, noting that this number does not include all Gaza detainees, particularly those held in Israeli occupation army’s camps.

Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for imposing international sanctions on the Israeli occupation apartheid regime to stop genocide, displacement and annexation

RAMALLAH, March 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the international community to impose sanctions and deterrent measures that force the Israeli occupation apartheid regime to stop its aggression and put an end to its colonial ambitions in the land of the State of Palestine.

"While the occupation forces continue to exterminate and demolish camps and cities in the northern West Bank, especially in Jineen and Toulkarm, and announce their intention to demolish an entire neighborhood in Nour Shams refugee camp, and deprive our people in the Gaza Strip of their most basic humanitarian needs, their colonial procedures begin to build approximately 1000 new colonial units in East Jerusalem." Added the Ministry.

The Ministry further added that this comes at a time when armed attacks carried out by colonists against Palestinians, their land, property and holy sites are escalating throughout the occupied West Bank.

It also stressed that it is following up the ongoing and brutal violations committed against Palestinians, warning of the danger of the international community and countries coexisting with the escalation of genocide, displacement and annexation.

The Ministry expressed deep concern over the international community's issuance of mere statements, saying it does not rise to the level of what the Palestinians are being subjected to.

South Africa condemns the Israeli occupation apartheid regime's move to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza

CAPE TOWN, March 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

South Africa Wednesday condemned the Israeli occupation apartheid regime's move to block humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip after the end of the first phase of the ceasefire deal, according to South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation.

“South Africa strongly condemns the refusal of Israel to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and its closure of border crossings at a time when the people of Gaza are experiencing immeasurable suffering and urgently need food, shelter and medical supplies,” the Department said in a media statement.

“Preventing food from entering Gaza is a continuation of Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon of war as part of the ongoing campaign of what the ICJ ruled to be plausible genocide against the Palestinian people,” it added.

It stressed that “halting the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip is a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, international humanitarian law, and the Fourth Geneva Convention” and called on “the international community to hold Israel accountable and ensure the safe, continuous, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip.”

South Africa also condemned Israel’s ongoing military aggression in the West Bank, slamming it as “a dangerous escalation, which further threatens the Palestinian quest for self-determination and statehood.”

“The forced displacement of 40,000 Palestinians from Jineen, Toulkarm, Nour Shams and elsewhere threatens to erase Palestinian refugee camps, and the right of return. The concurrent ban on the UN Relief and Works Agency’s (UNRWA) activities in these areas constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and strips displaced Palestinians of essential support and international oversight,” it explained.

It signaled its support to the Guarantors’ “continued efforts to address the reported violations of the ceasefire agreement” and called on the international community to “act with urgency and decisive action to address the continued systematic violation of international law and international humanitarian and human rights’ law.”

South Africa added that it welcomed “the outcomes of the Arab League Emergency Summit held on March 4th, that supports a settlement on Gaza that is led by, and inclusive of, Palestinians, and that expressly rejects the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza. South Africa supports the Arab League’s call for a UN international peacekeeping force in the West Bank and Gaza to ensure security and stability.”

UK Foreign Office Minister stresses need to fully implement Gaza ceasefire agreement

LONDON, March 5, 2025 (WAFA) –

UK Foreign Office Minister Catherine West Tuesday stressed the need to fully implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Speaking before the House of Commons, West stated: “We urge all parties to fully implement the ceasefire to help deliver a permanent end to hostilities.”

She voiced the UK’s concern over the blocking by Israel, the occupying power, of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

“Israel must not block aid coming into Gaza. Humanitarian aid should never be contingent on a ceasefire or used as a political tool. We urge the Government of Israel to lift restrictions immediately and unconditionally,” she stated.

She reiterated that “the humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire” while stressing that “The halt on goods and supplies entering Gaza risks breaching Israel’s obligations under international humanitarian law.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
