While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Update: According to Ma'an News Agency, three of the assassinated Palestinians are Khalil Al-Bahtini, 44, Tareq Ezzeddin, 44, and Jihad Ghannam, 63.

Medics and rescue teams are still looking under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings in the Gaza Strip.

According to initial reports, the strikes targeted areas in Gaza City, and Khan Younis in the southern part of the coastal region, leading to extensive property damage, nine deaths, and many injuries.

The reports also said the strikes targeted Islamic Jihad leaders and members of the group’s armed wing, the Al-Quds Brigades.

The Quds News Network said the Palestinians were killed when the army fired missiles at the homes and apartments of several leaders and senior officials of the Islamic Jihad movement.

Following the assassinations, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant held an urgent meeting to discuss certain precautionary measures for Israelis living in settlements near the Gaza Strip in anticipation of retaliation from the Islamic Jihad and possibly other armed resistance groups.

Also, Israeli sources said that the Coordinator of the Government Activities in the occupied territories declared a close of the Beit Hanoun and Karem Abu Salem crossings between the coastal region and Israel immediately after the army started bombing Gaza.

The Israeli Home Front Command also advised the Israeli living near the Gaza Strip to stay near shelters and banned all forms of gatherings in open places for more than ten people, in addition to banning gatherings in closed buildings for more than 100, the Israeli Jerusalem Post said.

The Israeli army said the strikes on Gaza came almost a week after dozens of shells were reportedly fired from the Gaza Strip, following the death of Islamic Jihad member Khader Adnan, 45, who died on May 2, at an Israeli prison after 87 days of hunger strike demanding his freedom as he was held under Administrative Detention orders without charges or trial.

On May 3, a Palestinian man, Hashel Mubarak Salman Mubarak, 58, was killed by Israeli missiles in the Shati refugee camp northwest of Gaza City.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill Two Palestinians, Injure One, In Tulkarem

 MAY 6, 2023

On Saturday, Israeli occupation soldiers invaded the Tulkarem refugee camp north of Tulkarem city in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, before killing a young man, injuring another, and abducting two.

Media sources said several Israeli military vehicles invaded the refugee camp, leading to protests before the soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that the soldiers killed Samer Salah Shafe’ey, 22, after shooting him with live rounds in the neck, chest, and abdomen, and Hamza Jamil Kharyoush, 22, after shooting him in the chest, abdomen, and left leg.

The Health Ministry added that the soldiers also shot a young man with a live round in the leg, inflicting moderate wounds, and caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, cuts, and bruises.

The soldiers also abducted Ibrahim Shallash, 20, and Mohammad Baleedy, 23, before withdrawing from the refugee camp.

The Israeli army published a video showing the soldiers killing the two young men; one of them can be seen carrying a gun on a rooftop but unaware of their presence until they fired many live rounds at him and killed him.

Thousands of Palestinians participated in the funeral processions of the two slain young, starting in front of Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulakrem, carrying Palestinian flags and chanting for ongoing resistance until liberation and independence, before heading to Tulkarem refugee camp.

The funeral was held at the Salam Mosque in the Tulkarem refugee camp before the two were buried at the Shuhada graveyard in the Thannaba area, east of Tulkarem.

Palestinian Killed by Israeli Reserve Soldier In Sandala

 MAY 6, 2023

A 19-year-old Palestinian resident of the village of Sandala, part of the Gilboa Regional Council in northern Israel, was shot and killed Saturday by an Israeli occupation  regime illegal paramilitary settler from the nearby Israeli colony Gan Ner.

The victim was identified as Diar Omari, 19, a Palestinian-Israeli citizen from Sandala, not far from Affula in the Northern District. He leaves behind two sisters and his parents.

According to local sources, Omari was critically wounded by multiple gunshots and was taken to HaEmek Medical Center in Afula, where he was declared dead.

Israeli police said it arrested a 32-year-old Israeli man suspected of being the shooter.

The Israeli gunman is a reserve soldier with the Golani Brigade of the Israeli army and was discharged just a few days ago.

He was not named, but the police said he had a handgun, suspected of being the gun used to shoot Omari.

The attack took place after a traffic incident; both men had been driving cars but got out, and the Israeli man got out his gun and began shooting at the Palestinian, fatally wounding him.

One of Diyar’s relatives told the Arabs48 News website said the whole issue started after a simple traffic incident before the two argued and the Diyar started walking to his car to leave the area and avoid further tension, but the Israeli shot him without justification since it was clear he was not in any danger.

A video released on social media showed the two men arguing, and then the Israeli human pulled out a gun and opened fire at Diar.

The incident could have ended without a fatality if the Israeli gunman did not use his weapon not only to shoot the young man but to inflict fatal wounds, especially since he fired several rounds at him.

Following the shooting, protests began in the village of Sandala. Israeli police deployed into the village, assaulted many Palestinians who protests the young man’s murder, and detained three.

The Israeli police did not reveal sufficient information but said the Israeli who fatally shot Omari claimed: “he killed him in self-defense after feeling his life was in danger,” and added that the officers took the gun he used in the shooting.

The police also detained two persons who allegedly hurled stones at Israeli cars while protesting the young man’s death and called on the Israelis Gan Ner settlement, south of Affula, to remain in their colony until the situation calms down.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Young Woman Near Nablus

 MAY 4, 2023Occupation

On Thursday, Israeli occupation soldiers killed a young Palestinian woman near Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, after the army claimed she attacked soldiers, mildly wounding one.

Media sources said the soldiers shot Eman Ziad Ahmad Odah, 26, with a live round in the chest, near Einabus junction in the center of Huwwara town, south of Nablus.

After shooting the woman, the army closed the area and refused to allow Palestinian medics to approach her, and later, Palestinian Red Crescent medics (PRCS) were able to reach her and perform the urgently needed medical attention before rushing her to Rafidia hospital in Nablus where she was officially pronounced dead.

The Israeli army claimed the woman attacked a soldier with a knife, but the soldier pushed her away and shot her, and added that another security officer also opened fire at the woman.  The wounded soldier suffered a mild injury and was moved to an Israeli hospital.

In related news, the soldiers shot a young Palestinian man in the leg during protests near Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

The army claimed that the young man attacked soldiers who stopped and searched Palestinian vehicles.

Her death brings the number of slain Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers since the beginning of this year to 107, including 20 children and two women.

On Thursday morning, Israeli soldiers killed three young Palestinian men and injured at least four after the undercover force infiltrated the Old City of Nablus, and surrounded a home before dozens of military vehicles invaded the area.

In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry identified the slain Palestinians as Moath Masri, 35, Hasan Qatanani, 35, and Ibrahim Jabr, 45.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill Three Palestinians, Injure Four, In Nablus

 MAY 4, 2023

On Thursday morning, Israeli occupation soldiers killed three young Palestinian men and injured at least four after the undercover force infiltrated the Old City of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, and surrounded a home before dozens of military vehicles invaded the area.

In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry identified the slain Palestinians as Moath Masri, 35, Hasan Qatanani, 35, and Ibrahim Jabr, 45.

It added that the remains of two of the slain Palestinians were severely mutilated due to Israeli Energia rockets and shells fired at a home the soldiers surrounded.

The Israeli attack started when undercover forces infiltrated the al-Yasmina neighborhood in Nablus’s Old City and surrounded a home before a large military force invaded the area and used a drone to fire a missile at the property before firing more shells and dozens of live rounds, killing the three young men.

Palestinian medics rushed to the area of the attack, but the soldiers fired many live rounds at their ambulances, preventing them from reaching the home or its surrounding area.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, said the many Palestinians protested the invasion before the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

Jibril stated that the soldiers injured 166 Palestinians, including four who were shot with live rounds, ten who fell as the army chased them, and 152 who suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, especially since the army fired the gas bombs at random, many striking homes or landing near them.

Among the wounded were many schoolchildren who suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation in their schools near the invaded area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education in Nablus said it had to evacuate 16 schools in the invaded area and its surroundings to ensure the children’s safety, especially since the soldiers were firing many live rounds and gas bombs.

The Israeli army claimed that two of the slain Palestinians, Moath Masri and Hasan Qatanani, were responsible for a shooting attack last month, leading to the death of three Israelis from the Dee family in the Jordan Valley, last month, and alleged that Jabr aided them in fleeing the scene. The three are from the illegal Israeli colony of Efrat, built on Palestinian lands near Bethlehem.

The army also confirmed more than 200 soldiers took part in the invasion, adding that they used anti-tank shoulder-mounted missiles and stun grenades dropped from military drones.

The Health Ministry said the death of the three young men brings the number of slain Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers since the beginning of this year to 107, including 20 children and one woman.

Various Palestinian officials, national and Islamic factions, and social figures denounced the invasion and the killing of the three young men, especially since it was clear the soldiers were not there to abduct the three Palestinians but rather to assassinate them, and that is why they started the attack by firing shells at the property.

Man Dies From Serious Wounds Suffered When the Israeli Occupation Army Bombed Gaza

 MAY 3, 2023

On Wednesday morning, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a Palestinian man who was seriously injured when the Israeli army bombed Gaza.

The Ministry identified the Palestinian man as Hashem Mubarak Salman Mubarak, 58, from the Shati’ refugee camp northwest of Gaza City.

It said the man was seriously injured when the Israeli occupation army fired missiles that struck buildings in the refugee camp and succumbed to his wounds later.

Israeli missiles and shells also injured five Palestinians in their homes east of Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Hashem’s death came a few hours after a ceasefire agreement was reached under Egyptian mediation.

Palestinian Detainee Khader Adnan Dies on Day 87 of Hunger Strike, an Israeli Occupation Regime Preson

 MAY 2, 2023

Palestinian political prisoner Khader Adnan, 45, became the first Palestinian to die in a hunger strike protesting the Israeli occupation and illegal detention of thousands of Palestinian civilians.

Khader Adnan, from Arraba town, southwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, was born on March 24, 1978, and was a married father of nine children. He held a bachelor’s degree in economic mathematics.

Adnan’s death came on the 87th day of a hunger strike which he began on February 5th, the day Israeli soldiers abducted him.

This was the 12th time Adnan had been abducted and imprisoned by Israeli occupation forces. He spent a total of eight years of his life behind bars in Israeli military prisons — most of that time in so-called ‘administrative detention’, an illegal practice used by Israeli martial authorities to hold Palestinians for extended periods without any charges.

Israeli authorities refused to allow Khader Adnan’s wife and children to see him, even as his health condition deteriorated severely in his last days, and refused the repeated requests by Adnan’s lawyer to have him transferred out of the notoriously ill-equipped Ramla Prison clinic into a civilian hospital.

Khader Adnan was considered one of the most prominent Palestinian political prisoners. He went on extended hunger strikes on five previous occasions – in 2004 for 25 days, in 2012 for 66 days, in 2015 for 56 days, in 2018 for 58 days, and in 2021 for 25 days. These repeated hunger strikes caused severe health impacts, as the body’s internal organs begin to fail after the first two weeks of a hunger strike.

Although Israeli authorities considered Adnan to be a “security threat”, they had never filed official charges against him, and held him in prison repeatedly without any charges.

Palestinian political leaders say that Adnan was targeted because of his vocal and steadfast opposition to the Israeli military occupation of Palestinian land — a military occupation that is considered illegal under international law and has been condemned by multiple United Nations resolutions.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society issued a statement that “Adnan, through his six hunger strikes and martyrdom, “carried the voice of the prisoners to all parts of the world, and was able, with each hunger strike, to gain his freedom. This time, the Israeli occupation made the decision to assassinate him.”

With the death of Khader Adnan, the number of Palestinian prisoners who died in Israeli custody since 1967 has risen to 236, of whom 75 were the result of the crime of deliberate medical negligence.

This is in addition to hundreds who died months or years after they were released, due to health conditions and illness they developed in prison without receiving professional medical treatment.

While Israel claimed Adnan “refused to undergo medical tests and receive treatment”, his lawyer Jamil Al-Khatib accused Israel of deliberate medical negligence and said that he had repeatedly requested that Israeli authorities move Adnan to a civilian hospital in Israel, but the request was denied by the Israeli Prison Authority.

The Palestinians declared a general strike across the occupied territory and called for massive processions to condemn Adnan’s death, the ongoing Israeli crimes and violations.

As for the number of prisoners who died in captivity, but whose bodies are being held by Israeli authorities, there are now 13: Anis Doula, who died in Ashkelon prison in 1980, Aziz Owaisat since 2018, Fares Baroud, Nassar Taqatqa, Bassam Al-Sayeh, who died in 2019, Saadi Al-Gharabli, and Kamal Abu Wa’ar, who died in 2020, Sami Al-Amour, who died in 2021, Daoud Al-Zubaidi, Nasser Abu Hamid and Mohammad Maher Turkman, who died in 2022 , the detainee Wadih Abu Ramoz, who died in an Israeli occupation hospital on January 28, 2023, and Khader Adnan, who succumbed in his cell in the Ramla prison clinic on May 2, 2023.

The death of Khader Adnan has been compared to that of the Irish nationalist political prisoner Bobby Sands, who died after 66 days on hunger strike in 1981.

According to the Bobby Sands Foundation, he was an Irish republican, an IRA Volunteer and a key figure in the fight against British imperialism in the north of Ireland during the 1970s and early 1980s.

He came to public prominence during the 1981 hunger strike when he led the protest by men in the H-Blocks of Long Kesh and women in Armagh Jail who sought political prisoner status. Bobby endured years of solitary confinement and beatings. During his imprisonment he was elected MP for the constituency of Fermanagh and South Tyrone.

Bobby began his hunger strike on 1st March 1981 and died after sixty-six days on the 5th May 1981. In the aftermath of his death he became an international figure that inspires not only Irish republicans in their pursuit of freedom from British rule, but people around the world in the fight for their rights.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Teen, Injure Six, Three Seriously, In Jericho

 MAY 1, 2023

On Monday, many Israeli occupation  regime military vehicles invaded the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp south of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank before the soldiers killed a teenage boy and injured Palestinians, including three who suffered serious wounds, and abducted two.

Medical sources said the soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds at Palestinian protesters, fatally wounding Jibril Mohammad Al-Lad’a, 17, after shooting him in the head.

After shooting Jibril, the soldiers left him bleeding on the ground without first aid until Palestinian medics were later allowed to approach him.

They added that the soldiers also shot six other Palestinians, including three who suffered life-threatening wounds before they were moved to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah due to the seriousness of their wounds.

Eid Barahma, the head of the Jericho office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), said the soldiers also invaded and ransacked many homes in the refugee camp before abducting Ahmad Jabr Wahdan and the secretary of the Fateh movement in the refugee camp, and Jihad Abu Al-Asal.

Thousands of Palestinians participated in the funeral ceremony and procession, starting in front of the Jericho governmental hospital before heading to the teen’s family home in the refugee camp, where prayers were held in the local mosque before he was buried at the local cemetery.

A general strike was declared in Jericho to mourn the teen’s death and to condemn the seriously escalating Israeli crime and violations.

It is worth mentioning that the army continued the strict siege on Jericho for the tenth consecutive day, searching dozens of Palestinian vehicles and interrogating the citizens, forcing them to wait many hours at the various military roadblocks around the city.

Earlier Monday, Israeli soldiers invaded Bethlehem city and nearby Beit Jala, in the occupied West Bank, seriously shot a young Palestinian man and abducted a man from his home.

Furthermore, the soldier abducted at least twenty Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, including fathers and their sons.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Child Near Bethlehem

 APR 28, 2023

On Friday afternoon, Israeli occupation soldiers killed a Palestinian child in Tuqu town, east of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

The soldiers invaded the Al-Khirba archaeological area in Tuqu, leading to protests before they fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Medical sources have confirmed that the soldiers killed a Palestinian child, Mustafa Amer Sabah, 15, after shooting him with a live round in the chest.

They added that the medics rushed the child to the Al-Hikma Medical Center, where he was officially pronounced dead.

After his death, hundreds of Palestinians marched in the town, chanting for steadfastness and ongoing resistance until liberation and independence.

In related news, the soldiers injured eight Palestinians in during protests against the illegal Israeli colonialist activities, in Beit Dajan and four in Beita, near Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank.

On Thursday, Israeli occupation soldiers killed Ahmad Yacoub Taha, 39, near Hares village, west of Salfit in the central West Bank. Ahmad was from Bidiya town, west of Salfit.

Taha’s killing is similar to how undercover Israeli soldiers executed Nidal Amin Khazem, 28, at point-blank after he was already shot and seriously injured on March 16, 2023, in Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

It is similar to how the soldiers killed Ahmad Hasan Kahla, 45, on January 15, 2023, underneath the Yabroud Bridge, east of Ramallah in the central West Bank. Khala was a married father of five children and was with his oldest son, Qussai, 20, when he was killed.

On Monday, April 24, a paramilitary Israeli colonizer killed Hatem As’ad Abu Najma, 39, a married father of five from Beit Safafa town, south of occupied Jerusalem, after he reportedly injured seven Israelis in what the army called a ramming attack in occupied Jerusalem.

Earlier that day, Israeli soldiers invaded the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in Jericho city in the northeastern West Bank, killed Suleiman Ayesh Hussin Oweid, 20, before taking his corpse away, injured three, and abducted three others, including two siblings.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Near Salfit

 APR 28, 2023

On Thursday, Israeli occupation soldiers killed a Palestinian security officer near Hares village, west of Salfit in the central West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers killed Ahmed Ya'coob Taha, 39, from Bidiya town, west of Salfit.

The Health Ministry added that the slain man was an officer with the Palestinian National Security Forces.

Israeli sources claimed the Palestinian was shot after “attempting to stab soldiers and officer at the Gitai Junction before he was neutralized at the scene.”

A video from the scene shows an Israeli officer ordering Taha to step out of his car, and once he stepped out, he reached for his wallet before many soldiers started firing at him.

The man did not appear to be armed or carrying a knife and was trying to get his ID card to show it to the soldiers.

After killing him, the soldiers closed the entire area to Palestinian traffic and forced the Palestinians to leave.

Illegal Israeli Settler Kills A Palestinian In Jerusalem

 APR 25, 2023

On Monday, an illegal Israeli regime paramilitary settler killed a Palestinian man after he reportedly injured seven Israelis in what the army called a ramming attack in occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

Media sources said the colonizer fatally shot Hatem As’ad Abu Najma, 39, a married father of five from Beit Safafa town, south of occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli sources said the Palestinian “rammed several Israelis with his car in Davidka Square,” nearly one block away from “Mahaneh Yehuda” market, wounding seven, including a man, about 80 years old, who suffered serious wounds and a woman in her 30s who suffered moderate-but-stable injuries.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Demolish A School Near Bethlehem

 MAY 8, 2023

On Sunday, Israeli occupation soldiers demolished a school in Beit Ta’mir village, southeast of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said several army vehicles, including bulldozers, invaded the village after surrounding and isolating Tahadi 5 School in the Jeb Ath-Theeb area at dawn.

They added that the soldiers demolished the school and confiscated all its belongings, including desks and chairs, before withdrawing.

The invasion led to protests before the soldiers fired rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs at the Palestinians.

The school provided education to 60 students from the local communities of Jeb Ath-Theeb, Zawahra, Al-Wahsh, and Mheimeed and was built on land private-owned by Palestinians from the Zawahra family, who have all deeds and legal documents.

Immediately after the army destroyed the school, the Palestinians started rebuilding it to ensure the children receive the education they need, the WAFA Palestinian News Agency said.

The army first destroyed the school in 2017, and since then, the Palestinians have been rebuilding it whenever the army demolishes it.

The European Union denounced the school’s demolition, which was donor-funded, and urged the Israeli authorities to “stop all demolitions and evictions, which it said, “will only increase the suffering of the Palestinian population and further escalate an already tense environment.”

Commenting on the demolition, the Palestinian Directorate of Education issued a statement denouncing the demolition and said the destruction is “part of the constant Israeli violations against the educational sector in the West Bank, and the constant targeting of students, teachers, and staffers, in direct violation of all international treaties.”

It called on the International Community to oblige Israel to end its violations, abide by international humanitarian and political treaties, and expose the seriously escalating Israeli crimes.

In late February of 2023, an Israeli court denied an appeal filed by the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission and The Society of St. Yves – Catholic Center for Human Rights against demolishing the Tahadi School.

The school was demolished eleven times since its establishment in 2016.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Detonate Home Of Slain Palestinian Near Salfit

Media sources said at least fifty army vehicles and Corps of Engineers invaded Hares village, west of Salfit, late at night before storming the Souf family home, assaulting his parents and siblings, and forcing them out of their property.

They added that the soldiers also stormed neighboring homes and forced the families out before wiring the three-story 300 square-meter under-construction building and detonating it.

The soldiers also assaulted many Palestinians who gathered in the area and threatened to shoot them if they did not leave.

It is worth mentioning that an Israeli security guard killed Mohammad Souf on November 15, 2022, after he allegedly stabbed and killed three Israeli colonizers in Ariel illegal colony.

In addition, the soldiers demolished the home of Younis Hilan, imprisoned by Israel for allegedly participating in the shooting with Mohammad. The demolished home in is Hajjah town, east of Qalqilia in the northern West Bank.

The three Israelis, who were killed in the incident, have been identified as Tamir Avichai, 50, from Kiryat Netafim colony in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, Michael Ledigin, 36, Bat-Yam, and Moshe Ashkenazi, 59, from Yavne.

Israel’s home demolition policy is an illegal act of collective punishment that constitutes war crimes and violates various international and human rights treaties, including the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 for the Protection of civilian persons in times of war, as well as article 17 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, issued in 1948, and numerous United Nations resolutions.

Israeli Occupation Army Demolishes 16-Apartment Palestinian Building In Jerusalem”

 MAY 3, 2023

JERUSALEM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation regime municipality of West Jerusalem and the army demolished a 16-apartment Palestinian-owned residential building in the Anata town, northeast of occupied East Jerusalem, under the pretext it was built without a permit, according to local sources.

They said a large police force surrounded the area where the 6-story building was located before a bulldozer started to knock it down.

The building has three apartments on every floor, each 150 square meters in area, and the first floor was inhabited while the others were still in the construction stage.

The Israeli municipality issued last month dozens of demolition orders against Palestinian-owned buildings in East Jerusalem under the pretext of construction without a permit, which is something Jerusalem’s Palestinian residents know is almost impossible to get from a racist municipality that seeks to increase the number of Jews in the occupied city while decreasing its indigenous Palestinian residents by not issuing them building permits.

While Israel continues to build and expand its illegal colonies, Palestinian communities, and towns, in occupied Jerusalem, and various areas in the occupied West Bank, continue to be denied the right to build homes and property.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
