It is worth mentioning that the former commander of the National Defense was dismissed against the backdrop of his firing an RPG shell on a checkpoint of the Republican Guard last year on the road of Deir Ezzor – al-Mayadin; because the checkpoint intercepted a patrol of the NDF at the time, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 16th of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces and their loyal militias carried out raids on Sunday in al-Mahareem area and 16th Street in al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, searching for detainees who managed to escape on Saturday from a prison of the NDF militia in al-Mayadin, but no information about arrests until the moment, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 14th of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that residents of the Boqruss Tahtani village which is controlled by the regime forces and their loyal militias in Deir Ezzor countryside, tried on Friday to prevent members of the NDF militia in the village from stealing houses through forming a human wall, but the members opened fire in the air and threatened citizens to shoot them directly if they do not go, which pushed the residents to leave the area then the NDF members continued their robbery and looting of homes>
