19 People Killed in Syria Fighting, More Casualties frm Afrin Explosion, 360,000 Refugees Managed to Flee Dair Ez-Zoar January 29, 2019 Editor's Note: The following news stories are just examples of the daily horrors of war in Syria. The following are news stories from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) website (http://www.syriahr.com/en/): *** 19 killed on January 26, 2019, including 2 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 17 other people One fighter joined yesterday the convoy of casualties of the Syrian revolution. SOHR, 27/01/2019 In Aleppo Province: A fighter of the factions was killed in clashes against gunmen in areas where the regime forces and Kurdish forces are deployed in the northern countryside of Aleppo. Also A Kurdish immigrant from Iran who fights within the ranks of Hurras al-Dien Organization in “Wa Harred al-Mu’minin” Operations Room, was killed after being targeted during the hours of last night by the regime forces. Also a fighter believed to be of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was killed after being targeted by the regime forces in al-Hwaiz area in the northwestern sector of Hama countryside. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the killing of 9 ISIS members in its last enclave east of Euphrates, as a result of clashes and the bombing by the Coalition, while 5 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces were killed in shelling and clashes in the same area. And 2 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in shelling and clashes against the “Islamic State” Organization and the factions. *** More casualties caused by more explosions in Afrin area in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo SOHR, 28/01/2019 Aleppo Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: An agricultural tractor exploded near Faisal Qaddour School in Afrin city in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, which is under the control of the pro-Turkish “Euphrates Shield” factions, which killed the driver but no information about the circumstances of the explosion until the moment, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that a man died affected by injuries he had in a booby-trapped car explosion on the 16th of December 2018, in the market of the city, which caused serious damage in the explosion area. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published back then that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the number of casualties in the bombing of Afrin on the 16th of December 2018, has risen, where it to 9 including 5 civilians (including a woman and 4 residents of Afrin), the number of people who were killed in the bombing that took place near a headquarters of an Islamic front of the “Olive Branch” Operation Forces, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, where the injuries were transferred to Turkey for treatment, and the Syrian Observatory published on Thursday evening that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that at least 4 persons were killed as a result of the bombing which hit an area near Al-Nayruz round about on the road to Rajo, in Afrin city, in the north-western sector of Aleppo countryside, which is controlled by the forces of Operation “Olive Branch”, including one fighter at least. Reliable sources confirmed that the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago, that it monitored alerts on the security and military checkpoints of what is known as the “military police” and the factions of “Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield” Operations, within their controlled areas in Aleppo countryside, in a new attempt by them to “control security” at a time where Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch areas are witnessing growing security chaos on a daily basis, through bombings, assassinations, targeting, theft, looting, and kidnapping etc., the most recent of which was what happened in areas of Euphrates Shield yesterday, Wednesday. The Syrian Observatory published on Wednesday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of security events caused by the security chaos in areas controlled by factions backed by the Turkish Forces in the countryside of Aleppo Province, where the Syrian Observatory monitored targeting by unidentified gunmen with several shots for 3 people in al-Bab city, which is located in the northeastern countryside to Aleppo, killing at least 2 of them and injuring the third one seriously, which may raise the death toll, and this targeting comes within the series of events that have been taking place in the countryside of Aleppo. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored 2 violent explosions at least in al-Bab city in the northeastern sector of Aleppo countryside, one was caused by detonating a vehicle believed to be a booby-trapped motorcycle near al-Kabir Mosque in al-Bab city, which is controlled by forces of “Euphrates Shield” which is led by Turkey and includes factions loyal and close to Turkey, the explosive killed a person and injured 7 others with varying degrees of severity, raising to 2, the number of people killed in the bombings that hit today the northern and northeastern countryside of Aleppo, while it rose to 33, the number of people who were injured with varying degrees of severity in Azaz, al-Rai, and al-Bab, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and the Syrian Observatory monitored today 5 explosion took place in the countryside of Aleppo in areas controlled by faction close to Turkey and operate under its command, one of them in Azaz by a car bomb attack, another in al-Rai by a motorcycle bomb, and 2 in in al-Bab one of them by a booby-trapped motorcycle, and the last one was in Dabiq, but it is not known whether it was caused by an IED. *** In 57 days…more than 30,600 persons got out of the enclave of the ISIS organization including about 2,500 of its members and about 19,400 persons of Iraqi nationality SOHR, 27/01/2019 Dair Ezzoar Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The process of getting citizens, ISIS members and their families out of the last enclave left for the (ISIS) organization at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, is continuing, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the exit of more than 1000 persons of the remaining persons in what remained for the organization in the area of east Euphrates, towards the controlled areas of the Syria Democratic Forces, aboard 20 vehicles that entered today morning, the front area and the contact lines with the organization, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the number of ISIS members exceeded 200 members of those who left within the total number of this batch, which is the first batch to contain a number of men and young men larger than the number of children and women. The sources confirmed to the SOHR that most of those who have got out within this batch are descended from Aleppo province and of the Iraqi nationality, thus, it rose to 30,600, the number of people who have gotten out of the organization’s enclave since early December 2018, of different nationalities of Syria, Iraq Russia, Somalia, Philippine and other Asian nationalities, and about 28550 of them have gotten out after the decision of the American president Trump to withdraw from Syria on the 19th of December 2018, including about 2470 members of the organization of those who infiltrated within the displaced people. They were arrested after the residents recognized them and reported the security services about their infiltration, and the other group surrendered themselves after they managed to get out of ISIS last enclave, also people of those who fled confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the organization is greatly collapsed, and it cannot resist no more, where the organization depends in repelling the attacks, on the heavily-planted landmines, the booby trapped vehicles and the “suicide bombers”. And the Syrian Observatory learned from reliable sources, that the number of the Iraqi people who have got out since December 2018, reached about 19400 persons, within more than 5500 families, all are of Iraqi nationalities, where they have been brought out of ISIS enclave and all were taken to the areas where they arrived in the camps of al-Hool area in the south-eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, today, Saturday the 26th of January 2018, that it monitored the continued movement by the International Coalition forces of entry and exit from and to the contact lines and fronts with the “Islamic State” organization, where about 17 military and Hummer vehicles entered the area today morning, Saturday. The SOHR monitored the entry of 20 vehicles to the front area, to bring out hundreds of the remaining citizens and families of ISIS members, while the Syrian Observatory monitored bombardment by the International Coalition warplanes and artillery on the remaining areas left under the control of the organization, while the SOHR published today morning, Saturday, that the International Coalition’s forces that are stationed in Al-Omar Oilfield in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, shelled places on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside. The shelling targeted farms between Al-Baghuz Foqani town and Al-Marashdah village during the last night, which killed 42 persons at least they are: 13 citizens including 7 members of the families of ISIS members among them 3 children, of the Syrian nationality, and the rest 6 persons are of the Iraqi nationality, as well as 29 members of the “Islamic State” organization, the shelling also left a large number of casualties, where the death toll may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, thus, it rose to 1250, the number of members and leaders of the “Islamic State” Organization who were killed in the clashes, detonations and raids. It rose to 658, the number of fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces who have been killed since the 10th of November to 10 December 2018, while the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that it rose to 401 people including 144 children and 86 citizen women (including 233 Syrian citizens including 99 children and 57 women of Syrian nationality) since the 10th of December 2018, also the “Islamic State” Organization had executed more than 713 detainees, of who were arrested on various charges including security members and members of the Organization who tried to break away of it and escape its controlled areas. The executions were carried out inside headquarters and detention centers of the Organization, and within its controlled areas which are today confined to the towns of Sha’afah, al-Susah, al-Baghuz and villages of Abu Hasan, Bo Badran, al-Marashdah, al-Shajla, al-Kashmeh, al-Safiya and al-Bukhatir suburb east of Hajin, which extends along the east bank of Euphrates, along with its last enclave in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor. A video by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights shows tens of citizens who have got out of ISIS enclave and the areas over which the Syria Democratic Forces imposed their control, towards the controlled areas of the SDF, within the process of the exit of citizens and the members of the organization and their families ***
