Israeli Occupation Soldiers Continue Shooting, Abduction of Palestinian Civilians, and Demolition of their Homes

January 18, 2019

Editor's Note:

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation government violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Demolish More Palestinian Homes In Jordan Valley

January 18, 2019 7:14 AM IMEMC News & Agencies

Despite extreme weather conditions, Israeli occupation soldiers demolished  ten Palestinian homes in the occupied Jordan Valley, on Thursday morning.

As it rained, the Israeli demolition left several Palestinians homeless, including women and children.

Israeli occupation forces demolish Palestinian homes and turn tens of Palestinians homeless, including children and women, on a daily basis.

They demolish the homes under the pretext of building without licenses or plans to develop the areas where the Palestinian homes are built, while building permits are rarely given at all, if ever.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities have been working hard to build settlement units for illegal Jewish settlers in the occupied Palestinian territories.

On Wednesday evening, the West Bank and Jerusalem witnessed a strong drop in temperature, accompanied by rains, thunderstorms, hail and snow, according to the PNN.

The snow fell and the roofs of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

Family Home of Palestinian Detainee to be Demolished

January 17, 2019 8:34 AM IMEMC News & Agencies

Israeli occupation forces, on Wednesday, raided the family home of a Palestinian detainee from the southern West Bank town of Yatta, south of Hebron, in preparation to demolish it, said a local activist.

Coordinator of the National and Popular Committees in southern Hebron, Rateb al-Jbour, told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the family house of Khalil Jabarin, 17, and took footage of it, in preparation for demolition.

Jabarin purportedly carried out a stabbing attack near the illegal settlement of Gush Etzion, on September 16, killing a settler and injuring another, before being shot and detained by Israeli forces.

On December 16, Israeli forces notified the family about their intention to punitively demolish their apartment, located in the third floor of a residential building in Yatta, and allowed them a grace period until January 2nd, 2019, to appeal the demolition order.

According to al-Jbour, Israeli forces had already prepared the house for demolition approximately three months ago, creating holes or cracks in the walls to plant explosives.

The Jabarin family had appealed the court’s ruling to demolish the house, however, their appeal was dismissed.

They called on human rights organizations to immediately intervene to prevent the demolition.

Israel resorts to punitively demolish the family homes of Palestinians- am a means of deterrence- accused of being involved in attacks against Israelis, a policy that Israel does not apply to Israeli settlers who were involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians.

The policy was widely condemned by human rights groups as “a collective punishment” and “a war crime and crime against humanity”.

PCHR Warns of Fuel Shortage at Gaza Hospitals

January 16, 2019 8:02 AM PCHR Gaza Siege,

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) is warning of the deteriorating situation of the Palestinian patients in the Gaza Strip, due to the ongoing crisis of fuel shortage. PCHR calls upon the Palestinian Authority (PA) and international organizations to urgently intervene to order to ensure the rapid flow of fuel needed, for the operation of generators, in the health facilities of the Gaza Strip.

According to PCHR’s follow-up, the UAE Crescent Hospital in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, announced on Sunday, 13 January, 2019, that its health services will stop within hours due to the fully running out of fuel needed to operate the generators.

Dr. Waleed Madi, Director of the Hospital, said that the continuation of the fuel crisis threatens to stop the health services, including surgeries conducted in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, at the hospital. It should be noted that the UAE Crescent Hospital is the only hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology services in Rafah City.

On Sunday, 13 January 2019, Ashraf al-Qadra, Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, warned that some health facilities and services would stop in the Gaza Strip due to the acute fuel crisis and the inability of the Ministry of Health to supply the fuel that is needed by hospitals and health centers in the Gaza Strip.

PCHR expresses its deep concern over the deterioration of the health conditions of Palestinian patients in the Gaza Strip. Therefore, PCHR:

Calls upon the Palestinian Authority to hold its responsibilities and urgently intervene to ensure the flow of fuel needed by the health facilities in the Gaza Strip to alleviate the suffering of patients in the Gaza Strip hospitals; Calls for coordination between the departments of the Ministry of Health in Ramallah and Gaza, and ensuring the right to health, including the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health; and Calls upon the international organizations, including United Nations bodies specialized in the intervention to provide immediate assistance to the health sector that would guarantee the continuation of services in all health facilities in the Gaza Strip.
