Yemenis Still Being Killed in Clashes, Air Strikes, and Assassinations

Unknown gunmen assassinate preacher of Al-Saeed mosque in Taiz

Unknown gunmen assassinated the imam and preacher of Al-Saeed mosque in Oseifirah area north of the city of Taiz on Monday morning. 

Local sources said that unknown gunmen assassinated Sheikh Mohammed al-Dhobhani, the imam and preacher, after he left his house to perform the dawn prayer.

This assassination is the second witnessed in Taiz, following the assassination of Imam and preacher of the Mosque of al-Isaii, Omar Dokm about a month ago.

The city has recently witnessed a security and military campaign against terrorist cells, that have killed several government soldiers, mosque preachers and an employee in the International Committee of the Red Cross.

A clash between Security authorities in Taiz kills 2 civilians

Two civilians have been killed today (Tuesday) at Jamal street -Taiz west of Yemen.

The clash was between the security of the governorate and soldiers from Aljudairi police station.

According to a security source, the head of the Aljudairi police station blocked the road in the front of the oil company( the governorate temporary headquarter) which made the military police interfere and try to prevent them, the situation escalate and both sides opened fire, the fire shoots reached the governorate building and the governor residence.

The source added the guards of the governorate and military police respond to the sources of fires which led to the kill of 2 and injury of few others without knowing their identities yet.

The director of the police station Shaeif Aziz, blocked the road after the kidnapping of his son by Abu Alabbas , and he tried to pressure the governor to involve in his son release.

The clash between both sides have been stopped but the tens situation candidate to more escalations at one of the most important streets in the city which remains closed to traffic till now with a deployment of soldiers around the police station.   

Saudi air defenses intercept Houthis ballistic missile

Saudi royal Air defenses have intercepted a ballistic missile launched today (Tuesday) by Houthis toward Jizan-South Saudi Arabia.

The Spokesman of the Arabic coalition Colonel Turki Almalki Said, the Royal Saudi air defenses tracked a ballistic missile launched by Houthis from Saada governorate – North Yamen.

“The missile was launched toward Jizan -South Saudi Arabia in deliberate attempt to target populated areas,” he said.

The Air defenses intercepted the missile and some fragments fall on populated areas with no damages.

Almasirah (Houthis official channel said the Militia had targeted (King Faisal military base) at Jizan with the Badr1 ballistic missile

Airstrikes on New Houthis locations at Hodeida

Eyewitnesses said to Almasdar, the Arabic coalition led by Saudi Arabia launched several airstrikes on a camp and Houthis centers at Hodeida (west – Yemen)

The locals said three airstrikes targeted the presidential guard camp at 16th km area south of Hodeida city, and another 5 airstrikes on Aljah at Hussiniah in Bait Alfaqeeh precinct.

Two soldiers killed in Serwah confrontations

Two governmental soldiers have been killed today and an unknown number of Houthis militia in the regenerated confrontations at Serwah front – West Marib (East – Sanaa )

A filed source said to Almasdar, the confrontations started at Airport hill a few hours ago after an attack made by Houthis on the governmental brigade 153.

The clashes resulted in no advancing of any party on the ground until now.

The killed soldiers are Muhsin Abdullah and Mohammed Manaa and injured 3 others.

Yemen’s PM Condemns the Crime of Assassination of University Professor

Prime Minister Abdul Aziz bin Habtour on Wednesday condemned the assassination of Professor Najat Ali Moqbel, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Aden.

Professor Moqbel was killed along with her son and grandson by unidentified gunmen wearing military uniforms on Tuesday in her apartment in Enma neighborhood of the southern port city of Aden.

Bin Habtoor held Saudi and Emirati occupation forces and their militias, which are currently controlling the city, responsible for this terrible crime and previous crimes against university professors and citizens in Aden.

The city of Aden and other southern cities, under the control of the UAE occupation forces, witness security chaos and growing of criminal and terrorist acts amid the spread of militias and armed gangs.

The state of emergency announced in the province of Aden and the southern coasts

Authorities , loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, in Aden have declared their readiness to face a possible hurricane expected to hit the coast of Aden within 72 hours.

Aden governorate officials have set up an operations room and set an emergency budget for each of Aden’s districts to face a possible hurricane in Aden and other coastal areas in southern and western Yemen.

The European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) warned of a disturbance in the Arabian Sea, which could expose the southern coast of Yemen to the tropical storm.

The center said in a statement that the storm will be accompanied by heavy rain, expected to occur during the next two weeks.

The weather monitor in Yemen called on citizens to take all the necessary precautions for the potential effects of the tropical situation and the extension of the belt of cumulus clouds accompanied by moderate and heavy rain, beginning this weekend.

Aden city, which was occupied by UK but now under the control of UAE, and the rest of the southern cities witnessed an insecurity situation that increased the assassinations of imams of mosques and security and military leaderships

The province of Aden witnesses a security fiasco that escalated with killings, looting issues , in addition to others that never happened before.
