Confrontations were reported on Sunday morning between Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and Palestinian students to the east of occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources said that IOF soldiers in armored vehicles stormed the area near the separation wall in Abu Dis town and started digging during which they deliberately attacked students of the nearby Quds University and Abu Dis school.

They said that the soldiers fired rubber-coated bullets, sound bombs, and teargas canisters at the students triggering the confrontations, adding that a number of students were treated for gas inhalation.

An eyewitness said that the students torched tires and rolled them toward the soldiers and threw stones and empty bottles at their army vehicles.

RAMALLAH, AL-KHALIL, (PIC)--

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday evening released the child Mohammed Hamid, 12, after he was arrested and assaulted, in Silwad east of Ramallah.

The IOF kidnapped Mohammed during violent clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths on the Shohadaa roundabout in Silwad, after accusing him of throwing stones at Israeli soldiers.

His family said that the occupation released him after midnight, after a detention that lasted for more than seven hours in Ben Yamin Camp at Ofer prison. During his detention Mohammed was severely assaulted by the Israeli soldiers, which resulted in breaking his hand and other bruises in the head and all over his body.

The IOF has also arrested and attacked four other children, causing them bruises.

Their families appealed to the competent authorities to intervene for the release of their sons who have been absent from schools due to their detention.

Another Palestinian child from Fawwar camp south of al-Khalil was arrested on Saturday evening by the Israeli soldiers, who have been deployed in the region.

Eyewitnesses said that more than five Israeli patrols were present at the entrance to the camp during the arrest of the child who was then taken to an unknown destination.

They added that the occupation forces attacked the citizens and searched the vehicles entering and leaving the camp, while a state of tension was prevailing in the place amid expectations of outbreak of new confrontations.

Illegal Israeli Jewish extremists desecrate Ma'manullah cemetery in Jerusalem

[ 17/11/2013 - 02:38 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Restoration of Muslim graves Committee in the occupied city of Jerusalem condemned the desecration of a historic Islamic cemetery in the city on Saturday by Price Tag gangs (which is a violent organization of the illegal Israeli Jewish extremists).

The head of the Committee, Mustafa Abu Zahra, said in a press statement on Sunday that Price Tag gangs sprayed racist slogans in Hebrew on 13 graves in Ma'manullah cemetery and a shrine in the west of Jerusalem and smashed some gravestones.

Abu Zahra said: "The blatant attack on a historic Islamic cemetery is unacceptable ... the demolition of the graves is a policy aimed at obliterating the Arab and Islamic identity (of the city) and this blatant aggression must be stopped."

He stressed that Israel is not able to protect the human heritage, and appealed to UNESCO, international institutions and human rights organizations to investigate and stop these crimes committed against Ma'manullah cemetery and human heritage.

For its part, the Aqsa Foundation for Endowments and Heritage stressed that the Israeli regime has been continuously and systematically targeting the Ma'manullah cemetery, and trying to obliterate its landmarks and Judaize it, especially after the Judaization of most of its area which extends over 200 acres.

The foundation urged all Arab and Islamic nations to defend this historic cemetery from the occupation plans.

Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers desecrate Aqsa Mosque

[ 17/11/2013 - 12:16 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Dozens of illegal Israeli Jewish settlers broke into the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday morning under heavy Israeli police escort.

The Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage said in a press release that more than 70 settlers led by rabbi Yehudah Glick, who is one of the most fanatic Jewish rabbis calling for destroying the Aqsa Mosque and building the temple on its ruins, entered the Aqsa via the Maghareba gate.

It said that the settlers entered the Mosque in groups and tried to offer Talmudic rituals but were confronted by the Aqsa guards.

AFEH said that Yehudah Glick, who is the chairman of the so-called Temple Mount Heritage Fund, was denied permission to enter the Aqsa Mosque two weeks ago.

It added, however, that Jerusalem District Police Chief Yossi Pariente informed him that he would be allowed to return to the holy site in Jerusalem's Old City.

Jewish organizations calling for the building of the temple had urged its followers to break into the Aqsa Mosque on November 28th on the occasion of the Festival of Lights.
