CAIRO, (PIC)--

Spokesman for the global march to Jerusalem (http://gm2j.com/main/), Zaher Al-Berawi, said that the march that took place in different countries around world sent a message to the Israeli occupation regime that Jerusalem is a red line.

In an interview conducted by the Palestinian information center (PIC), Berawi stated the message also includes a warning to Israel that its persistence in its ethnic cleansing and Judaization measures in the holy city can no longer be tolerated by the Arab and Muslim nations as well as their supporters from around the world.

"If the world's governments have failed to protect Jerusalem and stop its Judaization, the peoples of the world would not stay silent and would try to practically bring real pressure on the occupation, so that it can know that the peoples of the world are able to act and their will should be respected," Berawi emphasized.

He noted, however, that the global march faced difficulties in the West Bank because the factions of the Palestine liberation organization (PLO), especially Fatah, showed no interest in the march and its events.

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) --

Israeli occupation forces on Friday beat two women in a rally in Jerusalem marking the 46 anniversary of its occupation.

One woman suffered bruises to her lower back, and another to her chest, a medic said.

Moath Abu Rasheed, 17, was arrested and taken to a police station, while an Israeli activist was detained for several minutes.

The march started from the al-Aqsa compound after Friday prayers. Demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and chanted for Al-Aqsa, prisoners, and Jerusalem. Israeli special forces, border guards, and mounted police dispersed the protesters.

Clashes across West Bank as Palestinians mark war anniversary

Demonstrators in the West Bank on Friday joined mass protests to mark the Global March to Jerusalem, and dozens were lightly injured as Israeli occupation forces tried to disperse them.

In al-Maasara, near Bethlehem, participants in a weekly march suffered tear-gas inhalation. Demonstrators raised Palestinian flags, pictures of prisoners and Palestinians killed by Israel to mark the anniversary of the Six-Day War. Israeli occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear-gas canisters at the demonstrators.

Activists praised the unity of Palestinian people and promised more activities to protest Israeli actions.

Dozens of others suffered tear-gas inhalation in Bilin, near Ramallah, where residents and supporters held a weekly protest against settlements, the wall and the confiscation of land. Israeli forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades at protesters near the wall.

Palestinian, Israeli, and international activists who participated in the protest raised Palestinian flags, chanted for unity, and called for the release of Palestinian prisoners.

In Kafr Qaddum, another village, dozens suffered tear-gas inhalation.

Spokesman of the popular struggle committee Murad Shteawy said that the demonstration began in response to posters placed by the Israeli army threatening to arrest children in the village.

Shteawy said Israel invades the village in the middle of the night to “terrorize” the villagers. Last night, a 7-month-old suffered tear-gas inhalation after Israeli forces fired tear gas at midnight, he added.

Broad participation in the GMJ in Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)--

Thousands in Gaza Strip have participated in the Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ) on Friday to mark the 46th anniversary of the occupation of the eastern part of Jerusalem.

The participants gathered in the town of Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza Strip, in the nearest point to the 1948-occupied Palestine where a massive rally was held with the participation of 20 delegations from several Arab and Islamic countries.

Speakers stressed the need to support Jerusalem and its people's steadfastness and to stop the Israeli Judaization schemes.

Ahmad Abu Halabiya, Chairman of the PLC Jerusalem Committee, called on Hamas and Fatah movements to end the internal division and to unite their efforts in support of Jerusalem and al-Aqsa mosque.

He pointed to the Israeli escalated and continued plans aiming to Judaize the holy city in addition to the Israeli violations of international laws and conventions.

In his turn, Mohammed al-Hindi, a member of the political bureau of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that the Israeli occupation authorities will never succeed to subdue Palestinian resistance.

Al-Hindi referred, in this respect, to the Israeli defeats during the two aggressions waged against the Gaza Strip in 2008 and 2011.

The Israeli army is no longer invincible thanks to the free people of Palestine and the world, he said, adding that Israel will be cleansed out of history and Palestine will return (to its rightful owners).

The participation of thousands from the Arab and Islamic world confirmed their strong link to Jerusalem and al-Aqsa mosque, he emphasized.

People in 60 countries around the globe participated in similar rallies and marches to express their support for Jerusalem and its steadfast people and to condemn the IOA aggression on the holy city and its people.

Dozens participate in a rally as part of GMJ in London

LONDON, (PIC)--

Dozens of UK activists on Friday evening participated in a rally outside the Israeli embassy in London as part of the Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ).

People in 60 countries around the globe participated in similar rallies and marches to express their support for Jerusalem and its steadfast people and to condemn the aggression of the occupation on the holy city and its people.

Participants in the London rally comprised activists from all backgrounds in terms of ethnicity and religious affiliation. There were Muslims, Christians and Jews united in their love for Jerusalem and their condemnation of the Israeli aggressive measures against the holy city and its indigenous population.

Speaker after speaker condemned the ethnic cleansing the holy city is being subjected to and the desecration of holy places by the occupation soldiers and the settlers.

They condemned the systematic demolition of Palestinian homes to make way for more settlements and biblical parks.

They condemned the occupation’s campaigns of arresting and interrogating Palestinian children without the presence of their parents or a lawyer.

Their message to the Israeli occupation was that people around the world will not remain silent towards occupation’s crimes against Jerusalem and its people. They will not remain silent towards the ethnic cleansing of the Holy City, even if their governments remained silent.

The speakers called for more effective rallying of MPs to pressure the government to take positive steps against the Israeli apartheid rather than just pay lip service to the issue.

They called on the public to actively participate in the boycott of Israeli products of the illegal settlements, and to keep the momentum of their support for Jerusalem and the Palestinians.

IOF brutally attack Friday marches of W. Bank

RAMALLAH, (PIC)--

Violent clashes broke out between Palestinian young men and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) soldiers during the weekly marches that were organized in different West Bank areas after the Friday prayers as part of the global march to Jerusalem and to protest settlement expansion activities.

Hundreds of Palestinians took part in the weekly march in Ni'lin village to the west of Ramallah city.

The IOF suppressed the march and clashed with young men as they reached near the segregation wall causing many of them to suffer tear gas suffocation.

Dozens of Palestinians and foreign activists also suffered injuries in the weekly march in Bil'in village near Ramallah.

A vast tract of cultivated land caught fire when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked the protestors with a barrage of tear gas grenades.

In Masarah village near Bethlehem, the IOF quelled and physically assaulted the protestors as they were trying to reach the segregation wall.

Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah, also saw clashes between young men and Israeli soldiers who randomly fired a hail of tear gas grenades and rubber bullets at the march and nearby houses.

The IOF arrested two Palestinian kids and severely beat a child during the events in Nabi Saleh village, according to eyewitnesses.
