Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers and troops attack Urif villagers in Nablus

NABLUS, (PIC)--

A Palestinian young man was injured and another was detained on Saturday evening during attacks by illegal Israeli Jewish settlers and troops in Urif village south of Nablus city.

According to Quds Press, a group of fanatic Jewish settlers from the nearby settlement Yitzhar went on the rampage through the village attacking its residents and damaging property.

Eyewitnesses told it that a 19-year-old boy named Walid Al-Safadi was badly injured in his head by the settlers.

They added that a force of Israeli troops violently stormed the village to protect the Jewish assailants and clashed with the young men who were defending themselves and homes.

The troops attacked the young men and fired a barrage of rubber bullets and tear gas grenades before they withdraw from the village taking with them one of the young men in chain.

IOF troops harass AAU university students

JENIN, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) harassed students of the Arab American University near Jenin as they searched vehicles near their varsity.

Local sources said that IOF soldiers and an intelligence officer in four army vehicles intercepted traffic along the AAU-Jenin road and questioned students randomly taken from passing vehicles.

The sources said that the soldiers scrutinized IDs of students but no arrests were reported, noting that the soldiers had intensified their targeting of Palestinian students in the region.

They recalled that the soldiers broke into an AAU university hostel last week in Zababde village.

18 Palestinians Kidnapped In East Jerusalem After A Settler Was Stabbed

The Israeli occupation government police kidnapped 18 Palestinians in Ras Al-Amoud and Silwan neighborhoods, in occupied East Jerusalem after an unknown assailant stabbed, on Friday evening, a Jewish settler in Ras Al-Amoud.

The Quds Net News Agency reported that dozens of soldiers and military jeeps were deployed at the entrance of Ras Al-Amoud, while Israeli security personnel, undercover forces of the army, and members of the Border Guard units, were heavily deployed in the alleys and neighborhoods in Silwan and Ras Al-Amoud before they started breaking into Arab homes in an attempt to locate the stabber.

The Quds Net said that eighteen young Palestinian Jerusalemites were kidnapped, and were taken to the Al-Maskobiyya interrogation and detention facility in West Jerusalem. Six of the eighteen kidnapped residents were released several hours after their arrest.

The situation in the area remains tensed while eyewitnesses said that the Police also broke into Abouna Ibrahim Monastery in Ras Al-Amoud during the search campaign.

Israeli Police Arab Media spokesperson, Luba Samri, stated that the initial investigation revealed that the settler was stabbed as he was walking from the Al-Boraq Wall (Western Wall) heading towards the illegal settlement the was built by Jewish Millionaire, Moskowitz, in Ras Al-Amoud.

The settler was walking along with his friend, and when the two arrived near the Ras Al-Amoud Junction, “two Arab youths attacked them, and stabbed one of them in the back, before fleeing the scene”, according to the Israeli Police.

Samri said that, after the attack, the two settlers walked to the settlement, and called for help ; medics then moved the wounded settler to the Hadassah Ein Karem Israeli Hospital in the city, the other settler was not harmed.

Samri added that the police is still searching for the two suspects who carried out the attack, and that the kidnapped residents will remain under interrogation until further notice. She also stated that the attack seems to be nationally motivated.

Later on, the Israeli police enforced a gag order on the investigation, and refrained from providing any further information regarding the attack, the search campaign, and all related information.

Resident Seriously Injured By Israeli Shell In Central Gaza

Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported Friday that one resident was seriously injured by a shell fired by the Israeli army into the Juhr ed-Deek area, in central Gaza.

The sources stated that the soldiers, stationed on the border with Gaza, fired several shells into the area, and that the wounded resident was moved to the l-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

In related news, soldiers invaded on Thursday evening, several areas in Yatta town, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and searched dozens of homes and Bedouin tents.

Rateb Jbour, Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Annexation Wall and Settlements, stated that the soldiers invaded the areas of Jinba, al-Fakheet, at-Tabban, al-Markiz, and ar-Rakeez, and forced the residents out of their homes and tents before searching property and causing extensive damage.

The army also threatened to remove solar panels that provide the invaded areas with electricity, and also threatened to demolish the al-Mosafer Elementary School for Boy and Girls.

On Thursday at dawn, Israeli soldiers kidnapped eleven Palestinian civilians during invasions targeting different parts of the occupied West Bank.

The army invaded the West Bank Districts of Hebron, Bethlehem, Tulkarem and Ramallah, broke into and searched several homes and kidnapped the eleven residents. The army also desecrated a mosque in Ithna town, near Hebron.

Israeli occupatin soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the West Bank Districts of Hebron, Bethlehem, Tulkarem and Ramallah, broke into and searched several homes, and kidnapped eleven residents. The army also desecrated a mosque in Ithna, near Hebron.

The Ahrar Center for Detainees Studies and Human Rights reported that the army invaded Birzeit city near Ramallah, and kidnapped one resident identified as Abdul-Rahman Yacoub, 19.

The Center added that another resident, identified as Wadee' Abdul-Hamid Dar al-Issa, 22, was kidnapped in Kufr Ein nearby village.

The army invaded Ithna town, west of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and attacked the local Ahmad Yassin mosque. Soldiers broke into the mosque and violently searched it, causing damage to its property.

Furthermore, the army invaded the al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, and kidnapped Mohammad Khaled al-Jundy, 18, and Ahmad at-Teety, 19, after breaking into their homes and searching them.

The army also kidnapped Mahmoud Ali Ghneimat, 17, from Surif town north of Hebron, as he was walking near the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron.

Soldiers also invaded Bethlehem and kidnapped five youths from Beit Fajjar town, south of the city.

The five kidnapped residents were identified as Alaa’ Nasri Taqatqa, 18; Ihsan Hameed Taqatqa, 18; Hamza Mahmoud Taqatqa, 20; Mohammad Ibrahim Taqatqa, 22; and Mohammad Majed Ibrahim, 19.

In addition to the arrests in Beit Fajjar, the army invaded as-Saff Street, in Bethlehem, and the nearby city of Beit Jala, and interrogated several residents while inspecting their ID cards.

In Tulkarem city, in the northern part of the West Bank. The soldiers kidnapped one resident after breaking into his home, early on Thursday at dawn, and searching it. The resident was identified as Osama Sami al-Ashqar, 22.

It is worth mentioning that the army invaded several other areas in the occupied West Bank, searched several homes and interrogated a number of residents while inspecting their I.D. cards.

Thursday’s kidnappings and invasions are part of Israel’s ongoing assaults against the Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories.
