Illegal Israeli settlers kill Palestinian, wound others in attack on Silwan area

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Illegal armed Israeli settlers escorted by Israeli occupation soldiers killed Wednesday morning one Palestinian young man and wounded many others in clashes that erupted in the Arab neighborhood of Silwan.

Local sources affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) did not allow paramedics to evacuate the wounded young man and left him bleed for two hours until he died.

Member of Silwan committee Fakhri Abu Diyab said that the IOF troops also arrested two other young men who were seriously wounded by the settlers.

He noted that the provocative acts of the armed settlers triggered the clashes with the residents of Silwan.

The IOF troops intensified their presence in Silwan and closed all streets and roads leading to it.

Al-Jazeera satellite channel reported that one Palestinian was killed and five others were wounded during the clashes.

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) --

Palestinians clashed with Israeli occupation forces in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem on Wednesday following the shooting death of a Palestinian man in the morning by an illegal Israeli settler security guard, officials said.

Israeli border guards deployed riot dispersal means, including rubber bullets, sound grenades and tear gas, against residents in the flashpoint neighborhood who were demonstrating against the killing of Samer Sarhan, 28, and the injury of three others earlier Wednesday morning.

Director of the Wad Hilwa Information Center said an Israeli security guard opened fire at the four Palestinians driving through the Silwan area at 5 a.m, chasing them down an alley. One of the injured is in critical condition, the director said.

There remain unconfirmed reports of a second fatal causality, he added.

Israel National Police spokeswoman Loba Samri told reporters at the scene that Sarhan was known for participating in protests and demonstrators, offering a different account of events leading up to his death.

Samri said the guard had crashed his car in the area after which the four began pelting him with stones near one of the local settlers' homes. The guard then opened fire, killing one, she said.

She added that Sarhan's body was transferred to the Abu Kabeer forensic medicine center and that the guard was detained for questioning.

Earlier, a Wad Hilwa Information Center official said Israeli forces at the scene prevented the transfer of Sarhan's body out of the area for two hours.

Israeli occupation army kidnaps 6 Nablus residents

The Israeli occupation army kidnapped six Palestinians from the northern West Bank city of Nablus after armoured vehicles raided the area early Wednesday morning, a Palestinian security source told Ma'an.

The source said forces entered the eastern area of the city at 2 a.m. and raided Amman Street, An-Najah Old City Street, Ras Al-Ein, At-Titi Bridge and the Al-Ma'ajin area before detaining six young men and later withdrawing from the city.

Those detained were identified as Kahlil Al-Hanbali, Sultan Abu Sareya, Jalal Jaru’, Huthiafa Isam Rashed, Raed Mohammad Mahmoud As-Sayegh, Ramzy Ahmad Mohammad A’funah.

Israeli news site Ynet reported that 12 Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces in Nablus and Bethlehem.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap Two Palestinians

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped two Palestinian civilians from Husan village and city of Bethlehem in the West Bank on Wednesday morning.

Security sources reported Wafa correspondent that Israeli troops invaded the village of Husan,West of Bethlehem city and surrounded the house of a local youth,Muhamad Marek Hamamra,21 years after searching it .

The Israeli army arrested him and took him to unknown place.

Moreover,Israeli army abducted Husan Shoka after breaking into his house in Wadi Shaheen neighbourhood,in Bethlehem and searched it.

Settlers attack school near the Ibrahimi Mosque

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)--

Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers in Al-Khalil (Hebron) city attacked Palestinian school pupils while on their way to school and threw stones at them, claiming their children were attacked by the pupils.

Local sources said that more than 200 armed settlers encircled the Ibrahimiya school near the Ibrahimi Mosque in downtown Al-Khalil and tried to storm it.

They added that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rushed to the area and arrested two schoolchildren.

Illegal Israeli settlers raid olive orchards, attempt to steal olive

A number of Palestinian civilians were wounded in clashes with illegal Israeli settlers who invaded the olive orchards that belong to the Palestinian farmers in the village of Burin, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Eyewitnesses reported that the clashes started when a group of settlers from the nearby Yitzahar settlement came to the fields and attempted to steal the olives.

The farmers are currently preparing for the olive harvest season which will start in early October. Ghassan Dughlus, in charge of the settlement issues in Nablus governor's office said, he is expecting a very tough harvest season for the farmers of the of the ongoing settler attacks, especially that Israeli police or soldiers are not trying to stop the settlers.

Yesterday a group of settlers from the same settlement also raided the olive orchards and attempted to steal the olives.
