8 Pakistanis Killed by Army Air Attacks in Orakzai October 21, 2010 Editor's Note: Readers are advised that the following news report from the pro-government, The Daily Times, refers to the Pakistani Taliban fighters as terrorists and militants. Choppers kill eight terrorists in Orakzai Daily Times Monitor LAHORE: At least eight militants were killed in a security forces’ aerial attack in the Upper Orakzai region, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday. According to sources, security forces’ gunship helicopters pounded militants’ hideouts in the Hangu area of the agency, leaving eight militants dead and several injured. The gunship helicopters have also destroyed several militant hideouts in the offensive, the channel reported. The army and the government had been trying to fight militancy with ongoing operations in the Tribal Areas.
