Same Method
November 30, 2010
TEHRAN (FNA)-
Iranian university professor Majid Shahriari, who was killed in
Tehran yesterday, was assassinated through the very same method used for
the assassination of Hezbollah's slain commander Imad Mughniyeh in
Damascus two years ago, a senior Iranian lawmaker said on Tuesday.
"Based on investigations, the method used for the assassination of
martyr Shahriari was the same method used for the assassination of
martyr Mughniyeh," Head of the parliament's National Security and
Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi told reporters.
Mughniyeh was killed on February 12, 2008 by a car bomb in the Kfar
Suseh neighborhood of Damascus, the capital city of Syria. Hezbollah
blamed Tel Aviv for assassinating the commander.
Lebanese
political analysts believe that the terrorist blast had been arranged by
the Israeli intelligence squad, Mossad.
Boroujerdi further
underlined the terrorist nature of the Zionist regime of Israel, and
accused the regime of assassinating Iranian lecturers and scientists.
Meantime, the lawmaker said that his commission has held a
meeting with officials from the Ministry of Intelligence, the Iranian
Law Enforcement Police and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) to
study the recent terrorist attacks in Tehran.
On Monday, Iranian
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took the Zionist regime and certain
western countries responsible for the assassination of Iranian
university professors Fereidoon Abbasi Davani and Majid Shahriari in
Tehran yesterday morning, but meantime underlined that such criminal
acts can never hinder Iran's progress.
"The western governments
and the Zionist regime have a hand in the assassination of the two
Iranian university professors," Ahmadinejad said at a press conference
here in Tehran on Monday.
Abbasi Davani and Shahriari were
assassinated in separate terrorist bomb attacks here in Tehran on Monday

Spokesman Blames West for Involvement in Assassination of
Iranian Scientists
November 30, 2010
TEHRAN (FNA)-
The Iranian Foreign Ministry took the Zionist regime and certain
western countries responsible for the assassination of Iranian
university professors Fereidoon Abbasi Davani and Majid Shahriari in
Tehran on Monday, but meantime, stressed that such criminal acts cannot
hinder the country's progress.
"The main culprits in such
assassinations are the western countries which claim to support the
human rights and use the human rights as a political tool to put
pressure on (the other) countries," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin
Mehman-Parast said at a press conference here in Tehran on Tuesday.
Mehman-Parast explained that while the western countries chant
slogans in support of democracy and human rights, they provide support
and shelter terrorist groups, and said this is the biggest contradiction
seen in the words and deeds of the western states.
And the world
public opinion is aware of such contradictory and double-standard
attitudes, he continued.
Asked if Iran possesses any document
proving involvement of the Zionist regime in the Monday assassination of
the Iranian scientists, he said that the precise information and
documents on the issue will be revealed to the public after further
investigations, although the Iranian nation and regional countries are
well aware of the Zionist regime's role and crimes.
Meantime,
Mehman-Parast underlined that those countries which cannot bear Iran's
progress and prosperity should know that such assassinations and threats
cannot hinder the country's resolve towards progress.
Abbasi
Davani and Shahriari were assassinated in separate terrorist bomb
attacks here in Tehran on Monday morning with the latter killed
immediately after the blast.
Initial investigations revealed
that terrorists had planted bombs on the teachers' vehicles and blasted
their cars at 7:45 a.m. (0415 GMT).
Another Iranian university
professor and nuclear scientist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, was also
assassinated in a terrorist bomb attack in Tehran in January.
The bomb which killed Ali Mohammadi had been planted on a motorcycle
outside his home in Tehran's Northern neighborhood of Qeytariyeh.
After the assassination, President Ahmadinejad said that the Zionist
regime of Israel was responsible for the terrorist attack on Ali
Mohammadi.
The report of experts on the scene of the explosion
said that the assassination had been conducted in the method used by the
Zionists, Ahmadinejad said at the time.
Minister: Assassination of Elites Signifies Enemy's Fear of
Iran's Progress
November 30, 2010
TEHRAN (FNA)-
Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said that
increased assassinations and terror attacks on Iranian elites and
scientists indicate that enemies are fearful of the country's scientific
progress.
"Assassination of the Iranian scientists by enemies
indicates a fear of the country's progress towards independence," Najjar
said, speaking to reporters in Iran's Northern provincial capital city
of Sari on Tuesday.
He blamed Zionist-affiliated elements for
the recent attacks on the lives of the Iranian university professors,
and stressed that the moves are aimed at undermining the Iranian youths'
further advancement on the path of development.
Meantime, Najjar
stressed that the Zionists and the world arrogant powers, including the
US and a number of the European countries, have repeatedly acknowledged
Iran's rapid move towards progress.
"Hence, they are trying to
stop this move (of Iran) through threats," the Iranian minister noted.
The remarks by Najjar came a day after Two Iranian university
professors Fereidoon Abbasi Davani and Majid Shahriari were assassinated
in separate terrorist bomb attacks here in Tehran with the latter killed
immediately after the blast.
Another Iranian university
professor and nuclear scientist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, was also

inside Iran responsible for the terrorist operation.
