RAMALLAH, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped 12 Palestinians in a number of West Bank areas at a late hour on Wednesday and before dawn Thursday, Hebrew press reported.

Yediot Ahronot said that the IOF troops stormed a number of areas including the Jordan Valley near Jericho, adding that the detainees would be interrogated by the general intelligence apparatus known as the Shabak.

Another Hebrew daily on Wednesday revealed that Shabak officers had tried to recruit agents among the Palestinian students in Quds University in Abu Dis east of occupied Jerusalem in 2009.

Ha'aretz quoted two Palestinian university students as saying that a Shabak officer asked them to present reports on student activity in their university in return for allowing them to complete their practical studies in Jerusalem hospitals.

The paper pointed out that the two students, who were in the fifth year in medicine college, refused to cooperate with the Shabak.
