Biden held the peace activists of the Freedom Flotilla responsible for the Israeli deadly attack US supports Israeli massacre of peace activists [ 04/06/2010 - 11:22 AM ] WASHINGTON, (PIC)-- The US administration has defended the massacre that was committed on Monday by the Israeli occupation forces against peace activists on ships in international waters carrying aid materials to the besieged people of Gaza. US Vice President Joseph Biden said during a television interview that Israel has the right to protect its security and that the action it took against the flotilla was "legitimate". "The truth of the matter is, Israel has a right to know -- they're at war with Hamas... whether or not arms are being smuggled in," Biden said, repeating the Zionist mantra that thousands of rockets are falling on Israeli civilians. He expressed satisfaction that Israelis investigate themselves, but said the US administration was open to international participation "just like the investigation run on the sunken sub in – off the coast of Korea. That was run by South Korea, but the international community joined in that investigation." He, however, expressed Washington's concern for the situation in Gaza which he said was "untenable" and that Washington will press Israel to improve living conditions of Palestinians there.
