Israeli Air Strike Kills One Palestinian, Wounds Another, In Gaza

Palestinian sources reported on Monday evening that one resident was killed and another was wounded when the Israeli Air Force bombarded al-Shujaeyya neighborhood east of Gaza City.

The attack was apparently carried out by an unmanned drone, and was immediately followed by artillery shells.

The slain resident was identified as Bassam Badwan, 29, while another resident was wounded.

Badwan died of his wounds after his legs were severed from his body and due to numerous wounds to other parts of his body.

Medics are trying to coordinate with the Red Cross in order to be allowed to enter the area to search for residents who could have been wounded during the shelling as local sources reported that two more residents were wounded.

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), said that Badwan is one of its members.

Troops Kidnap Ten Residents In The West Bank

Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped, Monday at dawn, ten Palestinians during a number of invasions targeting several areas in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli army said that soldiers detained three Palestinians in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, four in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, one in Bethlehem and two in Hebron.

The army added that soldiers invaded Nablus in order to arrest “wanted” residents, and that a pipe bomb was hurled at a military jeep during the invasion; no damages or injuries were reported.

Furthermore, soldiers invaded Kharas village, near Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, and kidnapped Thaer Halahla, 31.

His father, Aziz, told the Ma'an News Agency, that at least 40 soldiers broke into his home and forced the family out before searching it using military dogs.

The soldiers also searched a room the family uses to store wheat, rice, sugar and other products.

Halahla added that his son was only released from an Israeli prison last month after spending seven years in prison, most of them in administrative detention without charges or trial. His brother, Shaher, was kidnapped by the army more than eight years ago and was sentenced to 17 years.

IOF troops damage more Palestinian land, round up West Bankers

GAZA, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in four army jeeps escorted five military bulldozers in an incursion east of Rafah city, southernmost of Gaza Strip, on Tuesday amidst indiscriminate firing and bulldozing of citizens' land.

Eyewitnesses said that the IOF unit was combing the area, adding that no casualties were reported.

In the West Bank, IOF soldiers rounded up 11 Palestinians, nine in central West Bank and two at a roadblock near Jenin.

Hebrew press said that the "wanted" Palestinians were being interrogated, adding that they were taken at a late hour on Monday night.
