6 Palestinians wounded in Israeli occupation forces' shooting at civilians in Biet Ummar [ 07/02/2010 - 11:34 AM ] AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) barred farmers from heading to tend to their farms in Beit Ummar village, Al-Khalil district, on Saturday and fired at them sound and gas bombs. Local sources said that the farmers threw stones at the IOF soldiers who used rubber bullets to disperse the crowd wounding three young men while many others were treated for breathing difficulties. The soldiers also beat up and injured a 22-year-old mentally retarded Palestinian in the village. In Nablus, Palestinian citizens confronted Jewish settlers who attacked Iraq Burin village and wreaked havoc in citizens' property on Saturday. Locals said that two Palestinians were hit with rubber bullets fired by the IOF troops who intervened to protect the settlers. Israeli occupation policemen on Saturday evening arrested 70 Palestinian workers who were being carried in a truck west of occupied Jerusalem en route to the 1948 occupied lands to look for jobs.
