Wikileaks Documents: Israel's Security Concerns Often Clash with US Interests But Israeli Interests Prevail at the End Sunday December 05, 2010 23:18 by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC News Among the revelations revealed by the US diplomatic cables released
last week are a number of discussions between Israeli and US diplomats.
In one such leaked conversation, an Israeli official told his US
counterpart that he understood, "the sometimes difficult position the
U.S. finds itself in given its global interests, and conceded that
Israel's security focus is so narrow that its...concerns often clash
with broader American security interests in the region." (However,
Israeli interests prevail at the end, with US officials keeping their
mouths shut up, even when US interests are harmed). Fair Use Notice This site contains copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner.
