Two killed in landmine blast in Dera Bugti

QUETTA:

Two people were killed and four injured when their vehicle hit a landmine near Pir Koh in Dera Bugti on Tuesday. According to sources, unidentified men planted a landmine along a road near Pir Koh. A vehicle carrying six persons hit the landmine, which killed two of them while four were severely injured.

The dead were identified as Karim Baksh and Ali Bahadur while the injured were Dilshan, Fatu, Saeed Ali and Guharam. Law enforcement agencies reached the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. staff report

Police kill two ‘suicide bombers’

PESHAWAR:

Police killed two suspected suicide bombers during a raid in Mittani area on the outskirts of Peshawar on Tuesday. Police raided the hideout of terrorists after receiving a tip-off. As soon as police started its action, terrorists also retaliated with fire, which resulted in a shootout. At least 14 Taliban fighters were killed when security forces backed by fighter jets bombed various areas in Orakzai Agency on Tuesday. Six Taliban hideouts were also destroyed in the airstrikes.

Meanwhile, Taliban fighters attacked an FC checkpost in Shahu Khel area of Hangu. Sources said the security forces retaliated and targeted Taliban fighters' hideouts with artillery shells. Taliban fighters fired three rockets at Hangu city targeting the Elite Force Headquarters, damaging the building.
