Erdogan Inaugurates El-Turkiye Arabic TV Channel, Confirms Ties With Arabs, Support for Palestine Erdogan: We will not remain silent if Israel tried to burn Gaza anew [ 05/04/2010 - 04:56 PM ] ISTANBUL, (PIC)-- Recep Erdogan, the Turkish premier, has said that the world should support Gaza as it did with Haiti and Chile, adding, "We should not remain arms folded toward the Palestine cause". He said that Turkey would not remain silent if Israel tried to burn Gaza anew. Erdogan was speaking at the inauguration of the first round-the-clock Arabic speaking Turkish TV channel "El-Turkiye" on Sunday evening, hoping that the move will further enhance Turkeys' ties with its Arab neighbors. Erdogan said that the new channel aims at further boosting ties with Arab nations. "Turks and Arabs are like fingers of one hand, like fingers and their nails. Even if our face is towards the West, we will never turn our back on the Arabs," Erdogan added. He noted that Turks and Arabs share a common past and will face a common future.
