PLC Condemns Arab Leaders Who Congratulated Netanyahu for the 62nd Anniversary of Zionist Usurpation of Palestine

PLC: congratulating the occupation equals relinquishment of Palestinian rights

The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) condemned the act of congratulating the Zionist entity and its Israeli occupation gvoernment on its 62nd anniversary by some Arab leaders saying that such an act represents an abandonment of Palestinian rights.

In a statement on Thursday, the PLC presidency said: "The initiative taken by some Arab leaders to congratulate the Zionist entity on the 62nd anniversary of its sinister foundation represents an Arab recognition of the occupation of the whole of Palestine and demolishes the eternal Palestinian right to the blessed historic land of Palestine."

The PLC presidency added that the move as well as being a stab in the back of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, it represents a bias in favour of the Zionist terrorist policies, as the grotesque Zionist entity was built on the torn bodies, the blood and skulls of the innocent Palestinian people.

"Congratulating the Zionist enemy on the anniversary of its grotesque founding means an acceptance of all the measures, practices and policies committed by it against the Palestinian people since the Nakba till today," the statement read.

The statement called on the Arab regimes to face the Zionist plans and racist policies instead of congratulating it on the anniversary of its usurpation of land and rights and instead of flexing muscles against the people of Gaza and participating in the Israeli siege against it.

With reference to the US policies in the region, the statement said that the latest US stands exposed the ugly face of US policy toward the Palestinian issue and the Arab and Islamic world stressing that the Obama administration is conducting its biased policies openly and shamelessly paying no attention to the atrocities being committed daily by the occupation against the Palestinian people and their lands.
