It said that 8 of those citizens were kidnapped southeast of Bethlehem and 5 in Qalqilia but did not mention where the remaining arrests took place. The paper said that all were taken for questioning without saying whether they had any affiliation. Local sources said that 3 citizens were detained in Jenin and pointed to storming and arrests in Ramallah and Nablus. Local sources in Jenin said that the IOF soldiers detained Hamas activist Ghassan Tahayena after encircling then storming his father's two-storey home, adding that the soldiers savagely broke into the house and forced its entire inhabitants out in the open before dawn Thursday. The soldiers used hounds to search the house damaging family belongings in the process, the local sources elaborated. Tahayena was released only a few months ago from jails of the Ramallah authority in Jericho after one and a half year in detention.
