BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

Two U.S. soldiers were killed and five were wounded in a joint security operation in northern Iraq, raising the U.S. fatalities in April to three, according to a U.S. army statement.

“Two United States Division – North Soldiers died of injuries sustained in combat operations while conducting a patrol in northern Iraq, April 7,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “Five other Soldiers were injured and evacuated to a military medical facility where they are currently being treated,” it added.
