Friday September 04, 2009 16:25 by Ghassan Bannoura - IMEMC News

Two were injured and dozens suffered effects of tear gas inhalation at the weekly nonviolent protest against the Wall at the village of Bil'in in the central West Bank.

Villagers and their international and Israeli supporters marched toward the Wall after midday prayers. Today is the anniversary of the decision from the Israeli Supreme Court of Justice to move the path of the wall in Bil'in.

This decision returns about 1000 Dunums of land to the farmers and stops future settlement building (one acre = four dunums).

The protesters chanted slogans and called for national unity among the Palestinians until they reached the wall where they army had set up a razor wire to block the protest. When the protesters tried to go behind it, the army fired tear gas and sound grenades.

The two protestors injured were Ahmad Abu Rahmah (16), and Rani Burnat (29). Dozens suffered from severe pain in the face and eyes as well as difficulty breathing as a result of the inhalation of tear gas.
