Al-Quds center calls on Obama to stop US organizations from funding illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian lands

[ 14/09/2009 - 02:49 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Al-Quds center for social and economic rights on Saturday called on the administration of US president, Barack Obama, to hold accountable all organizations and enterprises active in the US which fund illegal Israeli settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian lands.

The center underlined that these organizations finance the construction of settlements in occupied Palestine especially in the holy city of Jerusalem, where part of these funds are used to seize the homes and real estate of Palestinian citizens as happened lately in Silwan area and the Old City when the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) seized the homes of more than 100 Palestinian families.

The center added that in violation of US law, many organizations and enterprises active in the US, most notably CM company that is owned by the American Jewish millionaire Irving Moskovitch, provide full funding for all settlement activities in Jerusalem.

The center noted that Moskovitch financed lately dozens of suspicious real estate sales in the Palestinian neighborhoods surrounding the Old City and all these deals were especially funded from the gambling halls owned by him in the US.
