Ahmadinejad Inaugurates Iranian Hospital in Bolivia, Says Relations with African, Latin American States Expanding

TEHRAN (FNA)-

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reiterated on Sunday that Iran's relations with African and Latin American countries are close, stable and expanding.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks before heading to Gambia on the first leg of his several-nation tour which will take him to two African and three Latin American states, including Gambia, Senegal, Brazil, Venezuela and Bolivia.

"The destination countries are important states and every one of them plays a decisive role in its region. The Islamic Republic of Iran's relations with these countries are close, stable and expanding in various fields," he added.

Noting that the volume of Iran's economic, cultural and trade cooperation with the destination countries are "rather high", Ahmadinejad also expressed the hope that a wide leap would be taken in the consolidation and reinvigoration of bilateral relations with the said countries.

The Iranian president pointed out that today the world is witnessing great changes and it needs new solutions, and said he would discuss international situation with his counterparts during the trip.

The countries "that we are going to visit, specially Venezuela and Brazil, can contribute a decisive role in planning and regulating the new systems," he underlined.

Ahmadinejad to Inaugurate Iranian Hospital in Bolivia

TEHRAN (FNA)-

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is slated to inaugurate a hospital built by the Iranian Red Crescent Society in Bolivia during his several-nation tour of Africa and South America.

"The Red Crescent's 5th hospital in the world will be inaugurated late in November in Bolivia by President Ahmadinejad," RC Director General for Overseas Treatment Mohammad Baqer Saffarzadegan told FNA on Sunday.

He noted that the hospital in Bolivia enjoys all equipments needed for a public hospital, and added, "We have been able to prepare it for inauguration in late November after we purchased the needed tools and equipment a while ago."

Safarzadegan announced that the hospital is equipped with radiology, sonography, Xray and laboratory sections.

President Ahmadinejad on Sunday left Tehran for Gambia on the first leg of his several-nation tour which will take him to two African and three Latin American states, including Gambia, Senegal, Brazil, Venezuela and Bolivia.
