Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kidnap 17 Palestinians in the West Bank, 4 Fishermen in Gaza Israeli occupation navy forces kidnap four fishermen and their boat Wednesday March 25, 2009 11:37 by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Palestinian sources in the Gaza Strip reported on Wednesday morning that the Israeli occupation navy forces attacked a Palestinian fishing boat, kidnapped the four fishermen who were onboard, and took over the boat, the Quds Net reported. The fishermen, three brothers and a relative were taken to an unknown destination. They were fishing in Palestinian territorial waters near Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The boat belongs to Abdullah-Khalid Al Najjar. The kidnapped fishermen were identified as Khalil Abdullah Al Najjar, Yousef Abdullah Al Najjar, and Mohammad Abdullah Al Najjar. The fourth is their relative; he was identified as Ali Hasan Al Najjar. The Israeli Navy continued its attacks against the fishermen and repeatedly shelled Palestinian fishing boats, wounded and kidnapped dozens of fishermen. On Monday a young Palestinian fisherman was shot and seriously wounded when the Israeli navy shelled an area in al-Sudaniyya, north-east of Gaza City. On Tuesday, March 17, one Palestinian civilian was injured when Israeli naval boats opened fire on residents and fishermen who gathered at the beach near the Beit Lahia town. The Israeli army killed eight Palestinian fishermen in the past twelve months, medical sources reported. Attacks against Palestinian fishermen were repeatedly carried out by the army even before Israel imposed the siege on Gaza, the sources added. Israeli Soldiers kidnap 17 Palestinians in the West Bank Wednesday March 25, 2009 10:06 by IMEMC & Agencies The Palestine News and Information Agency, WAFA, reported on Wednesday morning that Israeli occupation terrorist soldiers kidnapped 17 Palestinians after the army invaded a number of villages and cities in the occupied West Bank. The army invaded Nablus, Ramallah and Hebron, broke into and searched dozens of homes. The Agency stated that soldiers invaded Qotna village, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and kidnapped eleven residents after breaking into their homes. Soldiers also invaded Nablus city, in the northern part of the West Bank, and a number of its nearby villages. Eyewitnesses reported that nearly 50 vehicles invaded Nablus on Wednesday at dawn after sealing its entrances. The army also invaded Beit Forik town, east of Nablus, and kidnapped three residents. Three more residents were kidnapped in Beit Surif village, near Hebron, after the army invaded the village, broke into and searched a number of homes. Earlier on Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers shot and seriously wounded a Palestinian youth at the Huwwara roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
