26 Iraqis Killed, Scores Injured in War Attacks, June 22, 2009 Yaqen.net reported the following news: - A body of a policeman was found in Al-Baghdadi area, west of Al-Ramadi city. - 3 Iraqi soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in Ba'aqouba. - 3 policemen were killed in an attack by gunmen in Prophet Sheeth, in Mosul. - 4 policemen were killed, five were injured in a car bomb explosion in Abu Gharib area. - 3 people were killed, 12 were injured in an explosion in Al-Hamza area, in Sadr City of Baghdad. ================= Woman gunned down in Mosul June 22, 2009 - 11:41:47 NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A woman on Monday was killed by an unknown gunman who broke into her house in Mosul city, according to a local security source. “Today, an unidentified gunman broke into a house in al-Farouq al-Qadima area, central Mosul, and shot down a 31-year-old housewife,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. Also, a car bomb detonated in Sabaa Qosoor area of al-Karada, downtown Baghdad, killing five civilians and injuring 20 others. area of eastern Baghdad, killing three civilians and wounding 15 others. patrol vehicle in Ameriyet al-Falluja district, southern Falluja,
injuring four patrolmen,” Maj. Yasseen Ismail told Aswat al-Iraq news
agency. Falluja, the largest city in Anbar, lies 45 km west of Baghdad; while
Ramadi, the capital of the province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
