Settler Lieberman expresses anew his rejection of a freeze on illegal Israeli settlement activities [ 03/07/2009 - 11:28 PM ] OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation government foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman (who lives in an illegal Israeli settlement built on confiscated Palestinian lands) renewed his rejection of international demands to freeze illegal Israeli settlement expansion in the West bank, and said "we cannot agree to chocking the settlements." Lieberman, who was talking at a conference of Druz Israel Beiteinu members in the Arab city of Shfaram, assailed the US for its "obsession" with stopping the Israeli settlement building and called it "disproportionate." He was responding to statements made by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who called on Israel to halt settlement construction completely in order to facilitate the two-state solution. He accused the international community for being disproportionate in dealing with issue of settlement compared to dealing with North Korea or Iran with reference to the former firing three missiles international warnings and the events taking place in the latter.
