Day 6 of the Zionist Israeli Terrorist Attacks on Gaza Strip, 15 Killed & 40 Injured, Death Toll 410 & Injuries 2070, US-EU Shield Israeli Terrorism

ccun.org, January 1, 2009, 9:40 am ET

Aljazeera TV has aired live an Israeli terrorist air raids on Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoon, which are the northernmost parts of Gaza Strip. Then, it showed scores of children have come to the local hospital in Jabalia after one Israeli terrorist air raid targeted a school.

Aljazeera TV also reported that the Zionist Israeli terrorist attacks have continued on Gaza Strip resulting in killing six and injuring 40 Palestinians. The death toll has reached 410 and injuries reached about 2070, many of whom were women and children. In addition, the continuous Israeli terrorist attacks have terrorized the Palestinian civilian population, who have been suffering severe shortages of food, water, electricity, and medicine.

An Israeli terrorist air raid targeted the house of Dr. Nizar Rayan, who is one of Hamas leader. He was killed together with his wife and his children, nine in all. Dr. Rayan's assassination together with his wife and children gives more evidence for indicting Israeli leaders, particularly Ehud Barak, on charges of terrorism, genocide, and crimes against humanity for targeting civilians with full knowledge that his wife and children were in the house with him. The Israeli terrorist attack targeted several homes around Dr. Rayan's home to guarantee killing him.

This Israeli terrorist campaign on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip fits the definitions of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. Israeli military and political leaders should all be arrested and tried before international courts. Human rights organizations should file law suits against them in every country in the world.

The Israeli terrorist air raids targeted buildings of the Palestinian Parliament, government ministries particularly the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labor. Residential areas close to the government buildings were also damaged as a result of the Israeli terrorist attacks.

The Israeli terrorist forces used US-made weapons in their attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, particularly F-16 warplanes and Apache helicopters, in violation to the US law which prohibits the use of US weapons in attacks on civilians.

Palestinian resistance fighters continued their retaliation to the Israeli terrorist attacks by launching missiles at Israeli targets north and east of Gaza Strip, one of which hit the Israeli military air base of Hatsarim, in the Naqab desert, east of Gaza Strip.

Arab foreign ministers meeting yesterday in Cairo took the problem to the UN Security Council, asking the international body to call on the Israeli terrorist government to stop its attack on Gaza. However, the US-EU blind support for the Israeli terrorist government has blocked the UN Security Council from issuing this call.

For those who wonder why the US government blindly supports Israeli terrorists, an answer can be found in the research which points to the Zionist Israeli control of US government, as documented in The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy By John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt.

Palestinian resistance groups continue homemade shells fire despite Israeli raids

Thursday January 01, 2009 09:29 by Rami Almeghari - IMEMC&Agencies

Gaza-based resistance factions continued firing homemade shells into nearby Israeli towns despite widespread Israeli raids on the coastal territory for the sixth day consecutively

On Thursday morning, the Saraya Al-Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad group, fired at least 19 shells , according to a press release, emailed to media outlets.

From its part, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigades, the militant off-shot of the Fatah party of Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, fired two missiles on Thursday morning towards the southern desert Israeli town of Naqqab (Negev).

Also, the democratic front for the liberation of Palestine, fired yesterday night two shells onto the Israeli Sufa crossing in southern Gaza. The Salahuddin Brigades, an offshoot of the popular resistance committees fired a mortar shell to the east of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza, according to press releases.

Meanwhile, Palestinian prime minister of the ruling Hamas party in Gaza, said in a televised speech aired on the Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV on Wednesday that his party won't succumb to the Israeli warfare, pledging supporters that ' Israel will be defeated 'in the face of the Palestinian people steadfastness'. '

Israeli army officials say the army actions on Gaza will continue until homemade shell fir from Gaza is ceased. Such developments come on the heels of accelerated international efforts to contain a highly volatile situation in the region.

In November of last year, Israel attacked Gaza, killing six Hamas fighters and breaking a six-month-long ceasefire deal with Hamas and other Gaza groups, which Egypt brokered in June19,2008.

Last December, Hamas declared an end to the truce deal, arguing that the Palestinians did not benefit from the deal with Israel attacking the territory and restrictively blockading a 1.5 million residents since June2007.

According to medical sources in Gaza, Israeli terrorist air strikes on the coastal enclave have so far claimed the lives of approximately 400 residents, including 36 women and almost 10 children, and left about 2000 others injured, including 300 critically.
