Eight Palestinians Wounded Near Jerusalem

Palestinian medical sources reported Thursday that eight Palestinians were wounded by Israeli military fire in Shu'fat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.

Illegal Israeli occupation soldiers invaded the camp and fired at protesters who hurled stones and empty bottles at the invading forces.

Five Palestinians were wounded and one Israeli soldier, member of the so-called Border Guard Units, was mildly wounded by a stone hurled by one of the protesters.

The Shu'fat refugee camp is subject to ongoing military invasions and attacks.

The invasion was carried out amidst ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinians and their homes in East Jerusalem.

Bil段n residents demonstrate in support of recent Swedish initiative calling for a Palestinian state

 Palestinian residents of Bil段n village, central West Bank, alongside international and Israeli solidarity activists, demonstrated on Friday against the Wall after the midday prayer.

Many suffered from tear-gas inhalation, as the Israeli armed forces fired upon protestors as they approached the illegal Wall.

The weekly demonstration, organized by the Bil段n Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements, was centered on the recent endeavor of the Swedish government.

Sweden, as president of the European Union, recently announced plans to discuss a draft for a Palestinian state, recognizing Jerusalem as its capital. The Popular Committee encourages the just effort and calls on other governments to support the initiative.

Demonstrators marched from the center of Bil段n village, chanting slogans against the theft of Palestinian land and called for an end to Israel痴 military occupation.

People rallied especially as a response to the escalation of the Israeli authorities to resume an arrest and intimidation campaign against Bil段n protestors which the Israeli military began on June.

One injured and dozens suffers effects of tear gas at the weekly Nil'in protest

One civilians sustained moderate wounds as others treated for tear gas inhalation when the illegal Israeli occupation troops attacked on Friday the weekly anti wall protest in the village of Nil'in, central West Bank.

Villagers along with their international supporters held the midday prayers at lands close to the wall construction site. After the prayers people marched towards the wall being built on lands owned by the farmers of Nil'in.

As soon as people approached the gate of the wall troops stationed their fired tear gas at them.

Later local youth hurled stoned at the soldiers. Troops responded by firing live rounds at the youth. One local boy was hit with a live round in his abdomen and was moved to a hospital in the nearby Ramallah city.
